My experience at living at Sunrise, is very simple. It s very good but then theres sometimes that I just DO NOT like. That would be when I leave and come back. My room has been tampered with. But theres only one answer. Pray to GOD, and ask God for some protection. Get it and live life.

It was a basic cheap hotel. When I got in my room there was bugs on the couch that was in there. No bedbugs but other bugs yes. Overall I got what I payed for.

Easy check in, staff was very helpful. Nice rooms and really clean. Breakfast was awesome. Eggs, toast, breads, fruit, cereal, pastries and a bunch more breakfast items. Loved that they had security for us to leave our car there when we went on a 2 week cruise. Cheaper than the cruise parking. Walking distance to several restaurants. Will stay here again.

Carpet 10 years old and well worn. Furniture old damaged and mismatched as from second hand store. Mattress so broke down, sleeping in the middle is necessary to prevent rolling off. Bathroom is speckled in loads of rust near metal. Widow is 20 ft from highway next to cargo port and insulating is absent so constant trucking noise all night. Expedia should be ashamed to handle this property. Bathroom next door( flushing and shower) is loud enough to be thought. To be in this room if I were blind. Rating 1 to 10 as 10 best—- 2.

Jacuzzi was nice, open until 9pm, no real shade until late afternoon. Easy hassle-free parking. Great location, walkable to downtown restaurants, USS Iowa, cruise ship terminals, Ports o Call village restaurants, Crowne Plaza. One of the better neighborhoods of San Pedro. Breakfast half-decent- oatmeal, bagels, sometimes hardboiled eggs. Hotel very dated, desperately needs a renovation- some paint would be a good start. Good water pressure in shower. North-facing rooms have nice view of Vincent Thomas Bridge and cruise ship terminals. Diner next door has affordable breakfast specials. No HDMI on TV. Friendly staff.

Pool and jacuzzi was my biggest disapointment. Dirt and algae in both. Jets didnt work and no light so we didnt discover how bad the jacuzzi was until the flash on the picture we took lit up the water. so we turned a flash light on and found out how discuting the algae was. had to go to the office for towels for the pool. Pillows are so tiny we asked for 4 more for 4 people. I didnt think one each would be a big deal. Night manager said no only 2. Building old and needs an up date for sure. On to the possitve. Free parking,small but good breakfast, close walking distance to everything. We felt safe and it was quiet. we will try it again another time hoping updates and cleaning are done.

The property is nice. It is an older facility but appears to be in decent shape. The staff was helpful. There are restaurants and things to see near by. The shuttle to the cruise terminal was handy.

The Sunrise Hotel was a very convenient place to stay before our cruise out of the World Cruise Terminal and I would consider staying there again if we ever drove down and needed a place to stay and park while on a cruise. I would caution that we traveled with a few other couples and I was the one who made the reservation. So, when we checked into the hotel, there was a problem at the desk with one of the credit cards and when the desk could not get a receipt printed, they just shrugged it off and I ended up getting charged for the room. So, make sure you get a receipt from wherever you stay so your best friend doesnt have to chase you down to get paid for the room.

When we first checked in, our first room smelled like cat urine. The entire hotel smelled like cigarettes. Our other rooms smelled but not as bad as the first room. The beds were not made correctly. There were no fitted sheets on the beds. The bedding was stained. The carpet in the rooms and hallways were stained. There was mold growing around the bathroom sinks. It was dusty behind the beds and tables. The footstool was stained. An outlet was missing its safety cover. Everything was outdated. A hotel staff member was rude to me regarding my service dog. I had a 2 year old with me and could not give her a bath, because there was no tub stopper. The ac in one of my rooms was not working properly. The elevators creaked. We were too tired to cancel our stay and just dealt with the issues. I think that orbitz needs to discontinue servicing the Sunrise Hotel until they fix all the issues. I am going to speak with the BBB regarding all these issues. I think that the health department needs to be notified as well.Thank you

No frills hotel.When we first checked in, the front desk staff was rude and tried to turn us away. On future visits they were more polite. The lobby is small but pleasant, if they have any amenities (so much as coffee) I didnt spot them.The rooms are dated, but large, and have refrigerators and microwaves, or at least mine did. On my second day, my shower did not work, but by the time I realized it, it was too late to get it fixed or switch rooms. Air conditioners are the old school variety with no real thermostat.If its significantly cheaper or more convenient than other options, it might be worth it. If not, go somewhere else.

This is the third time we stayed at this location prior to a cruise. It will be our last time. While it is convenient to the cruise port and offers a shuttle to guests, we were not pleased with our room or the staff. The desk staff and I assume the owner was abrupt and did not willingly answer questions but rather pointed to a rack with tourist brochures. Our room was shabby and the carpet did not look or feel clean, same for the bathroom floor. There was an excess of old furniture in the room which we had to move in order to make room for our luggage. The bed pillows were the size of a childs criib. We came away with the never again feeling. This hotel has gone downhill from when we first stayed 3 years ago, however the price has not. We will look for another option on any future visit to San Pedro.

Close to port. We found cockroaches, bed bugs and spiders. Seven different rooms reported. Continental breakfast nice and clean. Front help mostly helpful. No bathrooms available to lobby area. Plumbing problems in all rooms. We have stayed several times. Never experienced problems before.

The room fulled of cigarette smile, the shower had no water. I asked to buy a sample with a bill since I did not have enough coins. Front desk refused and told me that he was not my servant. We should be provid shuttle bus to cruise terminal. We could not get on the bus because of the size of bus. We were told to wait but bus was doing some other work. Then we ask how long to wait. The worked lied to us by saying he would check with the driver but he just did something else . We asked to talk to a manager then we were told that the manager was not here and nobody was in charge.

Located on Harbor Blvd with easy access to 110 and 47 this hotel is in a safe area. Convenient to harbor cruise ships, USS Iowa, Brouwerij West, Crafted, and museums. Though the property is dated, everything is clean and cozy.

The only good point is location before a cruise. Not clean. Room phone didnt work. No smoke detectors. AC didnt work.

Property is very dated and stains everywhere with have completed repairs everywhere. Area is very sketcky and dangerous at night.NOT a PLACE for your Family or loved ones. Breakfast is anything but fresh. stick to gas station sushi to be safe.. JUST DONT and live happy.

The hotel is dated. Even so, the owner presents this place in a very pleasant way. And being right across street from some cool areas is an added bonus.

It is walking distance to the cruise port and offers shuttle service. For this convenience it was an okay place to stay. No restrooms available till you get your room key so dont arrive needing to go.

Hotel is your basic 2-3 star hotel, BUT their shuttle driver is VERY unsafe. He was on his phone both ways and be even side swiped another shuttle van from best western. If they changed drivers it would be a higher rating

Ein nettes Hotel, dass schon schönere Tage gesehen hat.Personal sehr nett und freundlich. Alles auf dem Zimmer, wie Mikrowelle, Kühlschrank, TV, Kaffemaschine und kleines Spühlbecken. Sauber ohne Insekten. Nur der Teppich muss ausgewechselt werden. Mit Hausschuhen gehts. Waren sogar 3 Nächte. Netter Ort und nicht von Touristen überlaufen. Sehr nah ein Fischmarkt mit frisch zubereiteten Fischen und Walwatching.

It’s fine we stay here when we want to get a way for the night we usually also leave early in the mornings to go eat breakfast & this time we decide to try yours here at the hotel , we were very disappointed. Breakfast can really be a lot better than cereal from a box or a muffin

Great place to crash for a night before your cruise. They have a shuttle to the embarking location. Hotel upkeep is lacking and the whole place needs a makeover. Overall, it was okay.

Continental breakfast was horrible, water faucet handles were missing, no lights outside for pool plus a water hose in the hot tub that wasnt hot and jets were broken , our toilet was clogged the whole night, hotel receptionist was very rude when I asked for help. This place is so disappointing especially because its in such a awesome location, if you cant afford to upgrade this hotel atleast fix whats broken!!!!

The staff was freindly, professional and courteous. The property does need some updating. My stay was pleasant, a short walk to downtown restuarants. i will stay there again.

The convenience to the cruise port is super. All of the front desk staff were indifferent and unfriendly whenever we, or others had interaction with them. Our room was clean and comfortable. The halls, carpets, corners and the elevator needs attention.

The property is located in a location convenient to a lot of attractions, restaurants etc. and there is a pool. The staff that serviced the rooms and breakfast area were pleasant and helpful, however the desk staff was not as friendly and helpful as they could have been. We liked the room, which was comfortable and had a look of the harbor.

This is a stones throw from the cruise port. Beds were clean and comfortable. Bugs in the bathroom, very dirty.

This is now a homeless shelter run by the Salvation Army. Might be shut down soon.

Great room on the harbour. Room was cozy and clean, staff is polite, TV is huge, and there is no better location if you want a spot at the port. Wish I had stayed here the whole time.

NEGATIVE 5 STARS!the initial room was disgusting. We were switched to a 2nd room. Only to find cockroaches. Problem found out at 12.30 am. Staff unfazed about the cockroaches. Was unwilling to help. This building needs to be bulldozed. Staff needs to be replaced.Staff said we were free to just check out. At 1am were are trying to find hotel accommodations. Unreal

Wir haben das Hotel für eine Übernachtung vor einer Kreuzfahrt nach dem langen Flug gebucht. Preis Leistung war für amerikanische Preise gut. Der Lack ist innen schon etwas ab. Die Lage des Zimmers zur Hauptuferstraße macht Schlafen bei offenen Fenster nur in einem begrenzten Zeitfenster möglich. Die Räume waren groß mit zwei Queensizebetten. Diese waren o.k. Wenn man Nachts Licht angemacht hat im Badezimmer, dann ist ein kleines Käferlein schnell unter die Türzarge gehuscht. Die Duschstange für den Vorhang war mit einer Pappe fixiert. Das Frühstück war übersichtliche, der größte Teil der Nahrung wurde frisch aus der Plastikumverpackung geholt. Naja. war halt auch kein 5 Sterne Luxus für ein mehrfaches an Geld. Es hat gepaßt für eine Nacht nach einem langen Flug. Eine Baustelle liegt direkt hinter dem Hotel.

The hotel staff were all very nice, professional and helpful. The room looked and smelled like it hadnt been painted or maintained since the 1970s. It was an outstanding price and it was clean and the bed was comfortable, but the fixtures in the bathroom looked like something out of the era of Johnny Carson and not at all modern.

We had no trouble finding our hotel in San Pedro. It is located on a very quiet but busy street. The room was comfortable and relaxing. Each day of our stay I used the pool & spa, very refreshing. Excellent restaurants were within walking distance. We highly recommend the Sunrise Hotel San Pedro.

Day 1 found a roach, management was friendly & switch to another room no problem. Day 2 another roach, then manager didnt wanna accommodate me & was really rude. I packed up and left.

Comme dit dans le titre, laccueil a été lamentable , on a eu plus limpression de plus dérangé la personne de laccueil quautre chose , a savoir que les 3 personnes de laccueil que nous avons rencontré seul le premier qui fait la journée était antipathique , les 2 autres était correct et plus pro il a fallu attendre 5 mn que monsieur finisse de discuter au téléphone avec son ami , ensuite la cata , il sest énervé parce quon comprenais pas tout ce quil nous disait pour les formalités...au point de ce demandé ce quon faisait la ,on était même prêt à changer dhôtel , heureusement pour eux quon avait déjà payé...pour ce qui est du petit déjeuner, je suis quelquun de simple et pas difficile , mais là cest lamentable ! on est descendu a 8h30 , il y avait 2 bananes et 3 muffins emballés dans une panière ....cest tout , nous on était 4 sans compter dautres clients qui arrivaient sur les 3 jours on y a été 1 fois , les 2 autres jours on à déjeuner dans la chambre avec les courses que nous avions faitesHonnêtement , ils ferait mieux de ne pas faire le petit déjeuner ( si on peut appeler ça comme cela ) il gagnerait du temps , de largent , et des clients ...je lavais lu dans les commentaires précédent , je me suis dit que les gens sont difficile mais pour ce coup là ils avaient raison ! sinon la chambre était correct pour le prix, un peu veillotte certes mais suffisante pour y dormir , tv avec beaucoup de chaine , frigo , etc ...

Really nice hotel and if you’re staying in San Pedro for LA Fleet Week, this hotel is on the recommendation list and i can see why! really quiet and peaceful and has nice scenery from the bay facing windows!

I called the day before checking in and nobody answered, I called a good 8 times. Once we got to the hotel and checked in, I brought it up to the man of the front desk and he gave me attitude and asked why was I calling, he was very rude. As well as they made me give an extra 50 dollars as a deposit, which was not mentioned to me when I called to make the reservation for the room. Then we got into our room and it was so dirty, and it had a strong smell of cigarettes. When we specifically asked for a no smoking room, which apparently it was but still smelled disgustingly like cigarettes. It was so horrible we couldn’t stay, we literally were only in the room for 5 minutes and then we went to the front desk and I asked for a refund. This place was beyond disappointing.

Eine von innen betrachtet sehr in die Jahre gekommene, wenig gepflegte und teilweise renovierungsbedürftige Übernachtungsmöglichkeit. Nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Die innenliegenden Zimmer haben Aussicht zur riesigen Baustelle gegenüber und auf der anderen Seite liegen die Zimmer direkt an einer stark befahrenen Strasse. Spa ohne richtige Funktion, Teppiche in den Fluren und im Treppenaufgang einfach nur ecklig dreckig. Pool haben wir erst gar nicht benutzt, hatten Angst vor ansteckender Krankheit.Beim Frühstück gilt: wer nicht kommt zur rechten Zeit, kriegt halt nur was übrig bleibt. Und das, obwohl laut Öffnungszeit noch 1 Std. übrig wäre.

Sunrise Hotel San Pedro is clean, quiet, reasonably priced and is right by the cruise ship terminal. There is a walkway along the harbor across the street from the hotel that can take you to the USS Iowa battleship or vendor booths along the harbor. The free continental breakfast was nice.

It is a 2 star hotel but the service is good. I liked my free breakfast and parking. The hotel has a wonnderful location and there is a real gentleman at the reception.

A dive where distance travelers stay and park before boarding our cruises the next day. Smells musty. Outdoor pool has leaves. Hot tub more like a warm tub - bubbles broken. I don’t anticipate much in the morning for continental breakfast.

Not the best hotel around. Only stayed here because it was close to the cruise port.This hotel offers smoking rooms (without ashtrays) and delivery services from local dispensaries.

Remember the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld? These could be the Motel Nazis, but they arent quite as bad. And the rooms are probably not as wonderful as that soup on TV.Okay, heres the deal. If you ask for a room in back, you are getting a big room, not the most up to date but it will be clean, you get a microwave, a fridge, and a little dinette bar, and in back it will be quiet. Try to beat that for the AAA rate of under 100bucks.But if there is any hint of a problem with your credit card, or if you need anything unusual, dont expect the front desk to be friendly. I live and work in Pedro and put family and employees in this hotel. But I tend to dress-down the front desk, remind them that Im a paying customer, and they should smile just once in a while. They do need a lesson in customer service. But the location is great, there are usually plenty of rooms, and the price makes it mostly worthwhile to put up with the sometimes slightly grouchy service.

This place was disgusting, rude staff, looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in weeks, our sheets n pillow cases had stains, towels were thin and old, carpet was filthy and not vacuumed, walls and windows were filthy the shower had somebody else’s hair still in there,The entire hotel reeked of old cheese. Just because the place was old doesn’t mean your hotel has to be dirty. We still had trash in our trash can. Didn’t even bother having their cont. breakfast but the only good thing we liked was the cold air coming from the conditioner.

This hotel is priced very low , and its do for a major overhaul. Beds where clean , AC worked . Bathroom in the room needed a complete remodel . If your trying to impress someone , this isnt the place . If your looking for a place to sleep it works .

Poorly maintained older hotel. Bedside light not working, half the lights out in bathroom. Had to unplug mini fridge to plug in and use microwave. Key cards quit working and had to be replaced.

There were so many ROACHES, we started naming them! They were in our room and in the hallways! The good news is, no bed bugs!Getting an extra pillow was like pulling teeth!Many homeless residents in the parking lot.

Der Aufenthalt war OK und zweckmäßig, mehr nicht. Das lag vor allem am so wichtigen 1. Eindruck den das Frontdesk Personal vermittelt. Es war nicht wirklich freundlich, und das in den USA! Auch die Wahl des Zimmers war nicht gerade kooperativ, der Mitarbeiter wirkte genervt. Leider war der Pool und Jaquzzi geschlossen, wenigstens war der Mitarbeiter ehrlich. Die Behörde hat ihn aus gesundheitlichen Gründen geschlossen! Schade, wir haben dieses Hotel extra wegen des Pools gebucht und der Nähe zum Kreuzfahrt Terminals. Positiv war das kostenloses breakfast und die Räumlichkeiten hierfür...vollkommen ausreichend aber natürlich nur Continental...Genug für den Start in den Tag!

Will not stay here. When you are ready to book a room, you don’t want to be kept waiting. Sent an email 3 days ago and still no response, even though it says it will reply within 48 hours. Obviously do not care about future customers.

Honestly I wouldnt stay. It is not to my standards. Just to give you an idea, if the rooms are like the lobby I would run.

Wir waren auf der Durchreise und somit nur eine Nacht im Hotel. Für den Preis und die Dauer war es ganz in Ordnung. Das Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich, bei der Klimanalage sollte man beim einschalten jedoch nicht direkt davor stehen, da man sonst etwas eingestaubt wird.
