My best friend had her wedding here and we did a resort take over. There were 50 guests and we stayed 5 days. It was a lovely place to stay and the service was impeccable. The staff was so attentive and fun and we did some organized excursions through the resort that were incredible. The rooms are gorgeous and the views are spectacular.

Ileny and Rob are wonderful! They have been so helpful in making our stay on the island whatever we want it to be. I highly recommend staying here.

Cindy provides everything you can possible need while staying on the Caye. Well kitted out rooms. Lovely pool bar. Quieter location away from downtown. Still easy pickup at their pier for divers.

Athens Gate is a wonderful place to stay in San Pedro. We loved our week stay. It is on the South side of the island, just far enough to be remote, but just close enough to enjoy town whenever you want. Cindy, Danny and Luis are the best. Cindy can book any excursion you want to do, and they will pick you up right from the dock!!! Cant recommend this place enough.

Our stay at Athens Gate was incredible! From the moment you make your reservation, Cindy is available to help you schedule all activities and make reservations to ease your mind. She was so incredibly friendly and welcoming the entite stay, making us feel like family. Dennis welcomed us by name every time he saw us and helped us anytime nexessary. Rob was a fabulous bartender and makes THE BEST coconut mojito qwe had on the island. I would highly recommend and hope to return soon!

Restful and quiet with lovely staff. Huge suites with modern kitchen and large balcony overlooking the famous Belizian Reef. Nice pool and cool palapas on the beach. Private dock for star gazing or catching a snorkeling tour. Rent a golf cart to visit Secret Beach, about 30 minutes north for nice swimming- snorkeling or enjoying family time at one of the restaurant/bars at this popular place. Check out The Black Orchid or Lone Star restaurants a short walk away from Athen’s Gate.

This place and especially its staff were great. The condos were right on the beach with a nice pier. Cindy, Rob, and Eleani were wonderful staff--friendly, helpful, personable, professional. We felt well taken care of and made some friends.

Absolutely terrible stay there. Would never recommend my friends and family to spend there vacation time at that hotel. Definitely not a resort stay! Go across the street to Mahogany bay resort and get treated like loyal guest. Customer service was terrible at Athens Gate. Dont say i didnt warn you. Zero stars!

Beautiful rooms and very nice and attentive staff. South of San Pedro a couple miles which made it all that more peaceful. Fully stocked kitchen, even supplied with bottled water. Very happy we stayed here!

Es war rundum ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt. Die Zimmer waren sauber und übertreffen die Bilder der Homepage. Der Barkeeper Rob am Pool erfüllt einem jeden Wunsch ohne dabei aufdringlich zu sein. Am letzten Abend hatten wir eine kleine Feier und haben hhn spontan eingeladen. Er hat uns nützliche Tips gegeben wo wir gut essen können oder was man sich auf der Insel angucken muss. Strand, Zimmer und Pool sind über jeden Zweifel erhaben.

LOVED our stay here. Very nice pool and dock to relax at. Rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was incredible and went above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Rob makes the best (and reasonably priced) drinks youll ever have. Derek provided us with fishing rods and helped us catch some yellowtail off the hotels doc and afterwords they processed and cooked it for us at no charge. Also, we bought some plantains at a fruit stand in town and Rob cooked them into the best fried plantains Ive ever had. Overall super happy with my stay.

Great rooms and view, off the beaten path, which I really liked. It’s really private, but there are a couple good restaurants in walking distance too.

This is a very smooth running apartment hotel. Each apartment is very well equipped. It is the only hotel I have been to where they have supplied free suntan lotions. The staff is super friendly and helpful. No negative comments.

Good appartement ...

Four start resort with room for improvement. The staff/security/bartender was wonderful for stay. The property has some room for improvement though in terms of maintenance on grounds, and rooms. I noticed our room had concrete splashed on porch railing and had other minor items that needed to be cleaned up and finished. The beach at location is terrible because of current seaweed situation, but that is the case all down this coast now. There are no onsite meals, so you need to go to sister resort. The wait at breakfast the only morning we went was over an hour for food and we ended up leaving without eating. The rooms are privately owned I believe so one room/vs other are completely different. One member of our group had a unit that had much more furnishings and was much nicer in appearance. Absolutely gorgeous hotel. Loved the pool the bar the location and especially the really helpful stuff!The barkeeper rocks! :DWe booked the suite abd were totally satisfied, it is huge and really well furnished.Watch out for the sea grass season!

The Athens Gate property and condos are incredible. The design and layout of the condo was great and quite large. These are fairly new modern condos. All furnishings are new and make you feel like you are in a high end 5 star resort. Granite counter tops throughout, nice wood cabinets, new fridge/freezer, nice stove, tile floor throughout, central air, brand new thick luxurious mattresses. The kitchen is very nicely appointed for when you would like to prepare a meal, which we did quite a few times. The balcony is large and spacious and faces the ocean without obstructions. The pool is big enough to relax and has a swim up to the bar for a fresh and tasty libation.One of the best parts of our 10 day stay was all of the staff. Cindy, who handled most of the day to day activities at Athens Gate, was outstanding in every way. Cindy booked us snorkeling trips, breakfasts, lunches and dinners even when we didnt even ask. She also gave great suggestions for dining out and places to see. Cindy always went out of her way to make sure we were having a great time.Dennis is the head maintenance manager for the property and always had a smile on his face. Dennis insisted on carrying our bags to our room when we first arrived and he knew exactly when we were departing, again insisting on carrying our bags, one on his back while he carried the other in one hand. He made it seem like our suitcases were filled with feathers.The bartenders Danny, Rob and Byron were great and hilarious. Also, all three gave gave great suggestions for lunch venues depending on our hunger levels and taste buds.We were also fortunate to meet the owners of Athens Gate, Lori and her husband Greg. Both were completely down-to-earth wonderful people. Lori went out of her way to get my wife some organic peanut butter that contained no sugar. My wife was stunned by her kind gesture.To sum up our stay...phenomenal from the first moment to our final departing. Wow!Thank you Cindy, Lori, Dennis, Rob and Danny.
