The size of the property makes it so there arent too many people around. Its a nice, intimate feel and the staff recognizes you. There was plenty of gear you could borrow for snorkeling, kayaking, SUP, bikes..etc.Their showers are amazing, immediate hot water and great water pressure. Necessary for washing off all the sunscreen.

Everything about Victoria House was perfect, got to explore the island quite a bit and this is hands down the best property I saw. Clean rooms, super friendly staff, great food and the beach was perfect! Aside from day trips it is the kind of place you dont want to leave;)

Our stay at Victoria House and Resort was absolutely phenomenal. Prior to arrival, the reservations manager reached out with a pre-stay welcome note. They made sure we knew of the govt travel requirements and were prepared prior to travel to ensure a quick and speedy process through immigration. Donald also arranged for us a domestic flight from Belize City to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, where we were staying. Then, when we arrived in San Pedro, it was a seamless transition to getting picked up at the airport, luggage was delivered to the room, the entire process was so easy, effortless, and never once did I ever have to worry about where to find my flight, etc. It seemed that there was always someone who knew our next steps and made sure we were set before we even got there. A+ customer service. At the resort, the only issue my boyfriend and I had was the Wi-Fi connection in our room. Everything else was honestly perfect. The staff were insanely polite, customer service was through the roof, and they were able to accommodate us on every request and beyond. If I can give ten stars, I would. For example, one of the days we had an excursion booked inland in Belize City for ziplining, Mayan tours, and more. The front desk provided complimentary pickup and drop off service at the water taxi terminal just to make our lives easier. On top of that, on our last full day in Belize, they were able arrange a half day snorkeling trip during a full tropical storm. UNBELIZEABLE.

This was the perfect stay for the purpose of our trip - relaxation! The staff are incredible and put customer service at the forefront. The resort is also conveniently located on the island.

Undoubtedly a five star resort experience. The spa is unbelievable with added exercise room, bike use, and cart rentals to explore San Pedro for the adventurous like me. Free, delicious, but limited continental breakfast, yet their 5 star restaurant has amazing food choices including with fresh catches of the day.Access to excursions, snorkeling, and scuba where the equipment is high quality.Notably is the barrier they provide to keep the sargassum at bay and the area pleasant for those sensitive to it.Havier, Louis, and staff are very professional and outstanding with service and tips to explore San Pedro. I will definatley come back.

Staff was amazing. Never even had to ask for stuff they just were great in every way.

Went here for breakfast and had excellent food and great service. The fresh squeezed orange juice was a hit with our kids and the french toast was very very good. The bread is home made. My wife had the vegan avocado toast and really enjoyed it. My kids had pancakes that they enjoyed and cleaned their plates.

Victoria House is one of the original resorts on the beautiful Ambregris Caye and one of the best. It is situated a 15 minute golf buggy ride (yes golf carts are the main mode of transport on the island) south of San Pedro the only town on the island. Your greeted by manicured gardens and friendly staff upon arrival before being shown to your room or Casita. Try to book a Casita (all over look the beach) or a room overlooking the beach. The views are like a postcard and it is one of the most peaceful resorts Ive stayed in, great for relaxing by the pool or on the beach with a cocktail. The food at the bar and restaurant are very good and the staff will help you book excersions such as scuba/snorkeling of Belizes crown jewel, their reef the second largest in the world. There is also a great Spa at the resort for that extra pampering. All in all I highly recommend the resort for couples and families.

The stay here for me and my lady was paradise, a fantasy out of a movie scene brought to life. Thanks the the resort team and all that I got to meet there; Gladis, Carmen,Paola,Esteban, Ronald, Javier,Tony,Lelo,Marlon,Curtis,RoxyAnd Abi.The whole resort team greeted, welcomed and accompanied us with extraordinary service. We almost didnt want to leave and definitely will love to come back. Hope to see them all again soon.

What a lovely resort! The warmth and hospitality of the staff was outstanding. Accommodation was clean, comfortable and very well.maintained. The pools and beach were again very clean and well maintained. They generally provided a quiet relaxing environment and this was the perfect location for the end of our Belize adventure.

A true 5-star stay. Excellent well-trained staff, clean and comfortable rooms with spacious bathrooms and working air conditioners, very good food, very good cocktails, very good location (fishing, snorkeling, and other sightseeing boats come right to their dock), relatively calm and quiet (even though the hotel was sold out, it never felt full of people during our February week). Everything was just *easy* there. They are very accommodating and work hard to make sure you are happy. Highly recommended.

I was extremely impressed with the Victoria House! It is extremely beautiful and photogenic. The pools are gorgeous and feel amazing to swim in or relax next to. The room and bed were beautiful and super comfortable. The only issue is that it is fairly far away from town (about a 30 minute walk). Its a $5 or $6 can ride to get to town, which isnt bad, but its still kind of an annoying bumpy ride. The hotel does have 4 free shuttle rides to town each day, but it seems like they should possibly have more.

My husband and I spent 6 nights at Victoria House Resort & Spa for our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect. It was by far one of the most charming and breathtaking resorts we came across during our time on Ambergris Caye. Our beach casita was perfect, comfortable bed and the housekeeping team did an amazing job keeping it tidy and clean. We were always so grateful to come back to a fresh room. We ate severals meals at the restaurant and the bar, both amazing. Our massage was unbelievable. We did the Victoria House Signature Treatment and it was well worth it. Outside of the resort being a five star experience, the staff was truly amazing filled with helpful, friendly and personable people at every corner. Highly recommend this resort for your stay in Ambergris Caye!

El hotel es un remanso de paz. Es muy bonito y muy tranquilo. La comida del restaurante esta muy bien. Para quien se quede muchos dias puede ser repetitivo como cualquier restaurante al no tener otras alternativas. La habitacion (plantation )no es muy grande pero el baño si y la verdad es que es super agradable, la nuestra con vistas al mar y la terraza con las tumbonas. Ojo el hotel no es de playa, de hecho tiene un cordon de cemento entre la arena y el agua. Hay sargazo que el hotel se encarga cada dia de limpiar y que atenua con una barrera de plastico. Los jardines estan sumamente cuidados. El personal está excelentemente entrenado para estar pendiente de todos los huespedes todo el tiempo, siendo muy serviciales y eficaces.nosotros saliamos en barco a las 5 am y ellos se encargaban con el personal de seguridad de traernos el desayuno empaquetado con absoluta puntualidad y ademas nos instalaron una cafetera en la habitacion. Una estancia que repetiria sin duda. Gracias!

Our stay at Victoria House was the highlight of our trip to Belize. The staff was wonderful. The hotel and grounds were so pretty and clean. They are currently fighting a plague of sea grass but they clean the beach daily. We highly recommend the snorkeling tour.

We were glad we chose Victoria House. Beautiful resort just out of town (so its quiet) but still a short shuttle ride (via hotel) or $5.00 US taxi ride into San Pedro. The hotel staff was AMAZING as was the restaurant. Every meal we had was fabulous. We also book all our excursions through the hotel and they were cheaper than what we priced out online.Highly recommend this resort for those who want to get away and have nice, quiet, relaxing vacation.

We had an amazing stay!! the staff were attentive, friendly and very accommodating. The food was spectacular. Coconut shrimp is delicious. Best burger Ive ever had!! Dining out side is always extra special with amazing ocean views.Tours were easy to book with pick up and drop off at the private dock.Yoga was excellent, great instructor she met everyones needs.VH supplied shuttles into town, and were happy to make arrangements for anything you may need.Beautiful rooms, beautiful grounds, beautiful view, we will definitely be going back!!We met lots of staff that has been working there for several years, and they Love there job. That speaks volumes!!

My wife and I stayed at the Victoria House for our one-year anniversary, and it certainly lived up to and even exceeded our expectations! The staff was extraordinarily friendly, and the location could not have been more perfect for what we wanted. The resort itself is a short (10 min golf cart or taxi ride) away from downtown San Pedro (where the airport and water taxi drops off), but that short ride is enough to make it feel very peaceful and secluded. We did a little bit of exploring the downtown area (mostly for restaurants), but you could stay on the VH property the entire time. The food was excellent - continental breakfast was included with our room, and we added on a few side dishes for reasonable prices. The lunch and dinner options are varied and all delicious (These were maybe slightly overpriced, but nothing we ate was disappointing). Full bar right by the beach with incredibly friendly wait staff, and a private beach with palm trees and comfortable lounge chairs. Full service surf shop that allows you to arrange all sorts of activities (diving, snorkeling, sailing, etc) and the companies pick you up right from the property. Also did a couples massage that was extremely relaxing. All in all, if we would absolutely stay here again - one of the best hotel experiences weve had. Thanks so much to the wonderful staff at VH - you guys are great!

Victoria House is a very beautiful, secluded resort in San Pedro. Its further away from the town, so it has a much more quiet and romantic feel. This is definitely a more expensive resort than others, but alas you are getting definitely a romantic/honeymoon-kind of a vibe.Most rooms (if not all?) seem to have a view onto the beach. The rooms are little apartments, so you have some privacy (though you could hear the neighbors if they are loud). The site has two outdoor swimming pools (one of them is in the center near the restaurant and reception, while the other infinity swimming pool is a bit further away and larger so you can actually do laps there). There is an onsite restaurant with good food options that functions both as dinner (with both indoor and outdoor seating) as well as breakfast place. Note though that the included continental breakfast is extremely light: it only consists of fruits, toast and yogurt. It does not come with any sausage/eggs, so you have to pay extra for a full breakfast.Theres a bar, a secluded/fairly private beach area, access to free kayaks and bicycles and two piers which provide stunning picture opportunities (in the brochure you can even find wedding photos taken here).The staff is superfriendly. The rooms are serviced twice a day (and they provide and replenish large bottle of water). Overall, while its pricier than other hotels, it was well worth it.
