This vegetarian restaurant with vegan options serves all the Filipino dishes you miss, from binagoongan to Vegchong kawali, and others like steak or pasta. Its easy to find, but the place shares the building with other stores so parking can be an issue. They make plant-based versions of pretty meat-heavy cuisines. That means the plants have their work cut out. I think they pull it off for the most part.As soon as they serve the appetizer, we noticed right away how generous they are with their portions. Its quite good value for money. This continues on with the rest of the dishes. We started off with the Asian spring rolls. They were rice noodles in lumpia wrap. I tasted bits of the coriander there, which was refreshing. I love coriander. I do wish the filling had more texture and color, maybe carrot or cucumber strips. The sweet and sour dip makes most of the flavor, and thats okay. The tofu longganisa had the option of tofu side instead of egg. I dont have much to say about it. It tasted like candied tofu. You can cut the sweetness with vinegar, but I wouldve liked more garlicky spice and more umami flavors. You can see layers upon layers of fat on the grilled liempo, which, I think, it pulls off well, texture-wise. Its that greasy, oily bite that you expect. The other half of the liempo though, the meat, could be improved. The liempo is sweet, a bit too sweet for me, but I think you can cut that with some vinegar. The taste is a bit strong, between the sweetness and fattiness. Its best to take in small portions, best to share. My favorite was easily the Krispy kare kare. Its the same kare kare with veggies in peanut sauce but fried folded bean curd as the meat. The veggies were plenty. The bean curd had a good bite to it, though plant-based meats dont matter as much if you have the sauce to carry the dish. The sauce was thick and peanut-y, if a bit too sweet. I liked the sauce, but I think it could benefit from more earthier flavors. The bagoong was chopped shitake, I think, in sesame oil. I wish it were saltier, but okay.I liked eating here, though I found a lot of the dishes a bit too sweet. I think theres potential for more depth for some dishes, texture- and flavor-wise. The generous portions is a huge plus.As always for plant-based meat dishes, I recommend you go sauce-heavy. Maybe try the kare kare. Its pretty good.

They had a good portion of the menu unavailable; however, the meals they still carried were the best sellers and they were very tasty even though they were not real meat. This is the food of the future!

Wow! We were not expecting much but what a pleasant surprise. We ordered the Western Congee and it was super delicious that my foodie wife, who was with Whole Foods Market as a Healthy Eating Specialist, had seconds!
