Great home-cooked Filipino food with service that cant be beat!
We truly enjoyed our lunch here. I have a shellfish allergy and it was so great that they tweaked a couple of dishes specifically for me. I really appreciated that they were able to come up with alternatives for me. It usually is rare (most Filipino restaurants dont usually accomodate food allergy concerns). I was so happy! Our group of 6 ordered the crispy pata, chicaron bulaklak, bittermelon with beef, eggplant torta, halohalo, calamansi juice, buro (fermented rice) with mustard leaves. The ambiance feels old world Filipino with beautiful paintings and antique wooden furnishings. I loved it! Service was great. The servers were attentive and friendly. There is ample parking space. There is a designated smoking area at the backyard. The restroom is clean (yes! Such a relief!)
We tried this place since our friend was boasting about the food and the ambiance. Sadly walang wow factor. The pork belly didnt taste like pork at all and it wasnt even crispy. The sinigang na salmon didnt have the sour taste. The kuhol with gata lacked taste. The kalderetang kambing is okay but not wow. The best kaldereta is still the one along kamias road. We stayed at the function room 7K I think and it was consumable but it felt like it wasnt worth it. I ordered ensalada na mangga the alamang was terrible at walang halo as in mangga lang. But the beer came in and sub zero sa pagka lamig. We ended up bringing home 75% of what we ordered halos walang kumain at nag karaoke nalang since the contents of the karaoke book is filled with good songs. If you are into old antique places you will like it. The staff are amazing. Yung food lang talaga didnt impress my taste baka cguro it was late at night na when we came. Next time try namen ulit oyher items amd give this place a chance.
Everything was fine except for the kare kare...no taste
Best lutong bahay. Antique dinner sets and furnitures for sale
Good local food choices. Ample parking.
A cozy house turned restaurant in the middle of katipunan and whiteplains
Nice simple place and good food.
Pricey. The crispy hito was good. The crispy pata was overdone.
To die for lechon kawali!
Quite exotic for blueridge / katipunan area. But i think the drinking scene makes it a bit off, not unless thats what you came for. Serves pinoy dishes plus pulutan and drinks.
Its the place to eat and relax at the same time.
Accommodating staff and great food!
