If your in megamall fashion hall, you guys should check out saboten express in sm food hall at the 5th floor, craving for katsu meal this past week, this totally pays off especially if your going to share it with friends. They have saboten express bundle, for ₱299 pesos (good for 4 pax), we all shared this amazing meals :)
Love this idea by Raintree to have an express version of Saboten. This is really a quick way to have your katsu fix at a cheaper rate. For people who have just the right appetite that doesnt need the unli rice/miso soup and cabbage. This one is for you. Meal still come with this sides just not refillable. On this visit I got the sandwich loin and upgraded it with drinks and fries. All for 315PHP. The sandwich was enough to fill my hunger. I really enjoyed the tender meat with the hint of wasabi dressing. Perfect for a quick bite.
AMBIENCEMega Food Hall has a lot of seats available for all food establishments in the area, but they do get full quickly during lunch and dinner. Place is roomy and round buzzers are given to customers to know when to pick up orders.FOODMiso Tenderloin Katsudon and Chicken Katsu Curry both had crunchy coatings and tender meat. Miso was sweet as expected and curry was mildy spiced. I noticed the coating they used was different from the one Ive tried at the Greenbelt branch, like its simpler but just as good. If other branches can use this coating to pull down the price like for the Express concept, by all means, I suggest its totally okay! SERVICEWait time was very short and I appreciated that they had customer loyalty cards that offer every 7th Katsu Set free!
I love their curry sauce, reminds me of how a curry sauce should taste like. The karaage strips are tender & juicy in the inside yet crispylicious in the outside.1 star less for making me wait 2x. Already waited like 10 mins after ordering only to be informed the pork tenderloin is still stuck in traffic somewhere.
Crunchy on the outside, soft and tasty on the inside! Just how I like my tenderloin katsu to bePerfect for those who want a quick no frills honest to goodness katsu experience.
Had to wait for 25 mins for their so called express . People in the kitchen were all talking with the tonkatsu in front of them, and they are not wearing spit shields. Loin was rubbery and tough. Just save you money and spend a bit more on yabu.
