A classic hotel! The ambience at its lobby restaurant gives off a cheerful vibe—like you’re in the right place at the right time :) you can order a full meal or a light snack. It’s a great place to catch up over coffee or have a snack with friends.

전체적인 분위기 좋고 종업원 친절도와 서비스도 훌륭합니다.객실이 깨끗하고 정돈되어 있지만 페닌술라 명성에 비해서는 평범한 편입니다.조식 뷔페는 아이템은 많아 보였으나 착각..기대이하네요.다른 동남아 국가에 비해서 필리핀 호텔들이 가성비 낮은 것 같습니다.

One of the oldest hotels in Makati but still one of the most beautiful. Their rooms might seem a little bit dated but the beds are comfortable and perfect to sleep in after a long day attending a conference. Their breakfast buffet has a wide array of dishes. Service is top notch.

Good place to stay if you want to escape from the caos of Manila/Philippines. Its in the middle of Makati close to shops and restaurants.With all the luxury and comforts that one expects. It has lovely pool and fitness area.It would have been nice staying for longer.

Huge and beautiful lobby but quite worn and as with older hotels...very dim lighting. Was told their club rooms are well appointed but none were available for us to see. Must have been gorgeous when it opened 41 yrs ago...needs major overhaul of entire hotel...will be a 5-6 star hotel when they do.

I enjoyed the food they served, both the taste and servings are to my liking. They also have better coffee/tea corner compared to other hotel venues Ive tried, which is very helpful for whole-day trainings and seminars. The lobby is nothing less impressive as well.

Second time in a Peninsula (first time in Beijing in 2006). The experience has been kind of average. Definitely I expected higher standards. Its the missing attention to details that gets you. Upon check-in (we had a Club Deluxe Room), nobody showed us to the elevators. The employee at the desk (she was kind and all), just said the elevators were on the left. I was like uh? OK. Was expecting somebody to bring us to the elevator since they are kind of hidden from the main lobby and surely they know its my first stay here. In fact, we proceeded walking, with much of my embarassement showing, towards the swimming pool area searching for the lifts. Our room (455) had only 1 toothbrush instead of 2 so we had to ask for 1 more. Toiletries included only 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner and 1 shower gel...2 people showering twice a day better bring their own soaps. Body lotion is available but must be asked for . I know we can ask for these and we will get it fast, but after a while its annoying. Crew at lounge was not friendly with us (dont know the reason, even if I would like to). Ok, never mind, its not like I came to make friends. The lounge has a good selection of foods but again, as a missing cherry on top of the cake, no fruits were available. So after you get beef you go straight to the sweets. I dont think some fruit is going to mess with the budget. Positive things are the spacious rooms and the quiet swimming pool. Hotel management was nice enough to let us have a cake and some decorations in our room since we were celebrating our anniversary here. The only reason for me to leave a 3-star rating instead of 2. Sadly, some attention to details is missing. For this level of luxury and expense a customer expect to be a little bit pampered. We didnt feel it at all, actually we felt left on our own. I wouldnt stay again. (For the records, my experience at Peninsula in Beijing was outstanding and memorable, despite being 13 years ago).

嫁がマニラに来ると言うので、色々なホテルを下見してペニンシュラに決めました。ロビーに入った瞬間から雰囲気の良さが伝わりました。気持ちが引き締まります。お部屋、レストラン、バー、朝食、全てが素晴らしかったです。有名なロビーのハロハロも頂きました。大きいと聞いていたので嫁とシェアしようと思い、恥ずかしながら一つだけ注文したら「２つに分けてお持ちしましょうか？」と聞いてくれましたw。他のマニラの五つ星ホテルにも宿泊する機会がありましたが、やはりペニンシュラにはかないません。

他の方もおっしゃっておられるように、古さは否めないですが、清潔感はあり、サービスも一流です。ロビーはとても高級感があります。朝食付きのプランで申し込みました。朝食会場は一階のエスコルタというレストランです。ビュッフェ形式で和洋中の様々な種類があります。

Nice architectural design, clean rooms, live music, excellent place. Everything is perfect not including some reception stuff.

After 5 years or being away from the Manila Peninsula, I came back to my home and sanctuary in Manila. This time, I stayed on an off for almost a month and shall I say, my love affair with this hotel remains the same. Every single day I stayed in this property is a bliss, in fact I wouldn’t want to leave the hotel while im in town. The Pen still receives my highest marks and remains as my gold standard for what a true five star hotel should be. So many five star hotels in Manila and in the world and very few measure up to the Manila Peninsula standards. What sets this hotel apart is its exquisite attention to detail and the excellent customer service that puts a lot of the other hotels to shame . It’s amazing how consistent customer service is from the bell boys, wait staff, pool personnel, gym attendants, front desk and anyone you come across. The Manila Pen has this unique ability to leave a lasting impression, from the moment you enter the property, you are transformed to a world of classic elegance that is truly hard to beat. Service is impeccable, consistent and world class and coming from someone like me who I can consider myself as critical and discriminating, this is a huge statement. No wonder this hotel has been awarded by Forbes. I cannot think of any other hotel more deserving of that award. Although, everyone in this property holds a high standard in customer service, I need to call out Tony Santos and Victor (front desk supervisor) who really went above and beyond to make my long term stay smooth, seamless and very satisfying…Thank you guys!The location is not as central as the Fairmont or New World but you really can walk easily to shopping, dining, etc. If you are like most locals who wouldn’t walk for more than a km to get to their destination, you can always do grab service (uber is no longer available, grab probably paid the local government a huge amount to get rid of the competition) but I ended up walking everywhere from this location. Right across the Peninsula is blackbird which is a real high end restaurant that’s pretty good. Rustan’s supermarket is just across the street which has everything you need. The Spa is where I get my massages, The Nail Spa is where you go for your nails and waxing. The Pen’s location is 4.5 stars. The Pen’s lobby is truly magnificent, you walk in and you are transformed to a world of elegance that is unrivaled. Live music plays in the afternoon (piano) and evenings (quartet). I find myself just staying in the lobby for hours working on my laptop while I enjoy the experience. Ive stayed in the deluxe rooms in floors 5 - 8 facing the garden and not the city (22 - 28s). If you follow my reviews, I am sensitive to noise and quiet is paramount in my list of requirements, this hotel does not only meet it, it surpasses it. The Pen has 2 restaurants Escolta and Spices. Escolta is where they serve their world class breakfast buffet. I am a healthy eater and eating healthy in the Philippines is a challenge. As tempting as buffets are o me, I never find it worth the money since healthy options are slim and often times not available. I tried room service and it was great as well, they were able to accommodate my diet restrictions and still deliver a fabulous dish. The breakfast in the Pen is worth every single penny and more. The people in Escolta have made everything possible to ensure that I get my healthy breakfast every single time…Egg white omelet with my choice of veggies/truffles/spices, custom green smoothies, fresh young coconut, salmon sashimi, sugar free yogurt with fresh fruits etc, sourcing only the best ingredients. But what makes my breakfast even more spectacular are the people who ensure flawless dining service. Lito who is one of the Pen’s veteran servers who attends to my every need. Clarissa who prepares my sashimi and special orders every time. Most importantly, Michelle and Dennis, the dining supervisors whose extra care and attention are exemplary.…

The best part of the hotel is the lobby. The rooms are a bit outdated but spacious with a big bathroom. Good breakfast and location in the centre of Makati. A little bit overpriced but worth the money. Nice staff

泣く子も黙るペニンシュラ。当初敷居は高く感じたけどスタッフのホスピタリティは高くラウンジも使いやすかった。次回は連泊して楽しみ尽くしたい。朝食は、うーん。こんなものなのかな。マニラ空港に到着時、近隣のラグジュアリなホテルの受付カウンターがあります。そこで予約情報を伝えるとスムーズです。送迎は有料ですがハイヤーをお願いしておくことをお勧めします。また入館時のセキュリティチェックはほかのホテル同様に厳しいです。（空港並）

外観は古いですが、中はメンテナンスが行き届いています。日本語スタッフが本当に居るのかは微妙です。

Super impolite fourth floor lounge workers. Decaying suite decoration, overpriced service, overpriced rooms, decaying hotel living on past glamour. I would recommend the Fairmont over the Peninsula anytime. Unfortunately the company that brought us to Manila this year booked the Peninsula over the Fairmont where we had stayed in the last five previous years. Dont stay here, not worth it!

Location is very good. It is very safe for a single traveler. All staff are very friendly and serviceable.But on the weekends, breakfast buffets and swimming pools are very crowded.Filipino guests in the front room were fighting and shouting aloud. They slammed the door. That sound made me nervous and frightening. I understand that a hotel can not even choose a guest. I wanted them to go to another room but it did not.

A hotel renowned for excellence. It is a real deal. Huge room, clean, well facilitated and equipment. Large closet and safety box, it fit the largest laptop you can buy. Staff are helpful, friendly and professional. The food in lobby cafe is good.Since it is in the city of Makati; at the heart of the business district, prefect for business. And it surrounding are safe and clean.

I simply love this place, maybe for the gigantic Vegas-style lobby, but also for the faultless service and the very comfortable rooms. The Thai restaurant is also delicious. And I repeat myself but the lobby is so awesome, it is by itself just worth the trip.

Best hotel in Makati city. It has an Asian restaurant with Indian menu which is very delicious. Though it looks very expensive but it is worth for money.

Had a good stay here, as always. The location is accessible, although i wish they could keep the back entrance (by the restaurant) open up till late. Everyone is so warm and accommodating. The bar which is also the smoking area is quite chill and comfy and the alcohols served are really tasty. As for breakfast buffet, its reall good but I just wish they would be able to refill them food quickly.I always have a good time here and i hope you too. This place is giving you your money’s worth.

マニラではペニンシュラを定宿にしています。今回は友人夫妻とセブ島から移動。今までは海の綺麗さに魅せられてボラカイ島、エルニド諸島等の帰りにマニラの都会で美味しい食事とお買い物をして帰国するパターンに最適なホテルです。レストランはスパイシーがお気に入り️ペニンシュラは香港、ニューヨークなどは高級過ぎてなかなか泊まれませんが、マニラは古いがペニンシュラの良さを手軽に味わえて気に入ってます。お料理も美味しく、立地も良いので今回は奮発してスイートルームに滞在し、クラブラウンジでハイティーやシャンパンなど頂き、今回の旅も非日常を味わいリフレッシュしてお仕事頑張ります️

Very good experience each time coming to Peninsula. Peninsula in Manila represents status and quality. No matter the high tea, breakfast, bar and restaurant, we all enjoyed big time.I especially like the live band in Salon de Ning.馬尼拉的半島酒店歷史悠久，服務氣氛都非常棒，我們非常喜歡。

This feature is about dining at the private Ramon Magsaysay Room of the Old Manila outlet of the Manila Peninsula. The room allows for 24 guests to dine comfortably in conservative luxe interiors. It also, allows for a good pre-installed video presentation should it be required say for a business meeting.An added feature at one end of the room are some memorabilia which presumably came from the late President’s family. The President was a well respected and well loved man for his endeavors in promoting trade and industry. His presidency was marked as the cleanest and most corruption-free rule allowing for the Filipinos to trust the government and the military once again. President Magsaysay’s term made the Philippines rank as the 2nd cleanest and well-governed country in Asia. The “golden years” of the country so it is befitting that a private room in a most prestigious hotel be in his honor. ️

Rooms are a bit tired now but classic. still very regal lobby. Good for weddings, events and business meetings.

They got nice and friendly staffs! Accomodating and jolly. They are professionals in serving the guest. Hapy and positive environment. And they have nice food!

Beautiful hotel. Love the pool area where you can find a tranquil koi pond to view.The breakfast buffet is the best out of all the meals offered via buffet, although service can be quite slow. I found myself waiting quite a while for beverages and for the check every day.The rooms are comfortable and I enjoy being able to request privacy or for the room to be made up with the push of a button.My favorite part of this hotel is the live music every evening. I could sit and listen to the musicians every night. Absolutely beautiful.

13주년 결혼기념일 여행으로 간 마닐라에서 제일 마지막 일정으로 숙박한 곳입니다. 가장 좋았던 것은 품격있는 서비스였고 다음으로는 로비에서 오전부터 밤 10시까지 들려주는 라이브 음악이었습니다. 결혼기념일 케잌도 너무 감동이었습니다. 조식은 먹을만 한 정도의 수준. 위치는 쇼핑몰이 바로 길건너에 있어서 최고입니다. 한마디로 감동적인 호텔이었고 마닐라여행을 더욱 즐겁게 만들어 주었습니다.

Authentic Filipino hospitality all throughout. The rooms are huge and well-presented. The Manila Pen’s fitness centre is one of the biggest hotel gyms I have been to. Great buffet breakfast with continental, Japanese and Filipino options. The lounge bar serves fantastic cocktails — I recommend that you try their Manila Manila cocktail, served with Sampaguita (Philippine jasmine).

Excellent customer service and assistance. Ease of access in any facility and great views on window side rooms.

I Just Love this Hotel️& The Food

First impressions. High end hotel...food not so. They did not have the Jamon and Manchego cheese board...unusual for a hotel at this calibre. Ordered Wagyu sliders, Lumpia Shanghai, and mini crab cakes. Took awhile for the food to arrive. Upon arrival, everything looked good, but... The buns on the sliders appeared to be brioche and looked appetizing. Once I bit into it, I noticed that bun was gummy in texture and the meat was totally dry. Personally, I believe they are not using Wagyu. Lumpia tasted good. The crab cakes were gummy and had no taste of crab. The food was luke warm at best. Total bust for a so called upscale hotel. Who serves a Gin and Tonic in a wine glass? Smokers can enjoy the Bar. Next door, the sell cigars. The hotel itself is awesome, but the food is less desired.
