Can’t beat the location! Restaurants and lobby are beautiful. Rooms are cozy and charming. The pet policy is outstanding! However, the train running constantly makes it pretty tough to get a good night sleep. Even with a sound app going all night to try and cancel it out. Also, the pool was a big reason we chose this hotel. At check in we were told it closes at 3:30 pm. This should be something either they change or make people aware of before booking.

The Hoxton is a great location with prime restaurants within walking distance. With that said, the rooms are not worth the large cost. We stayed in a mid range room, and it was even smaller than shown in the pictures. There was little room to move around in the bedroom, or space to spread out. The rooms were very well decorated and the bathroom was very large with an excellent overhead shower. The lighting was difficult at first to work with the room key requirement and finding the light switch, and the bathroom had half of the bulbs out. The bed was subpar and not a worthy mattress and pillows for the cost. The TV was cable, with no options to cast from devices, so bring an adapter and HDMI cable if youd like to catch a late night movie. The hotel staff were excellent and friendly, and they easily accommodated an extra hour checkout. The valet was very, very helpful as he recommended and directed an overnight parking garage around the corner that was $41 vs the hotels $70. The hotel has a very popular restaurant and was quite busy at night, but that did not interfere with our stay at all. All in all, the location is amazing with the area food options and was why we stayed there. But my feeling was that the cost was very high given the amenities and other options at the same price point in the city.

Wow, this is the best hotel Ive stayed at in Chicago. Checking in was a breeze. The staff at the desk was both quick and efficient. I stayed in the Cosy room. The room has a nice king size bed with a walk in shower with duel shower heads. The room was very well cleaned with updated amenities. Downstairs the hotel had two hip dining options, a pop up shoe store and a hip seating area for guest to congregate.

They will say, Due to covid, but stayed 3 nights and never cleaned or refreshed the room, last time i stayed was two years ago i rated it a 5, barely give it a 1 , this stay. The room was so small, shower drained extremly slow, a plus was free water At the front desk. And coffee shop was the highlight, they were the best. Pool area was rude, no where to sit and ran us off because they said they were gonna to prepare for the reasturant, which was ridiculous, to sit in the lobby you have to have a hostess to sit you, pool hours are not acceptable or accommodating. Bottom line i will never go back! If you book a room shoot for two beds definitely not one, smallest room i have ever stayed in. People are nice though.

There were pills from the previous people under the bed. So I am not sure if our room was cleaned throughly. The stay overall was great, loved the pool and food!

My room is tiny and the sound of the train is pure hell. My pillows and bed are unbelievably uncomfortable. I had zero pillows when I checked in and had 2 lousy ones when I returned from dinner. I’ve been trying to sleep the last 2 hours and I can’t because of the train and crappy pillows. This bed and pillow are still hat you would find a a hellhole roadside motel during during a road trip. I would say this has to be the most uncomfortable hotel I’ve ever been to.Lovely. Now cars are racing outside. They need better windows and beds for the price they charge. This night is truly awful.

Great venue and great selection of drinks. We went to the roof top bar - easily found a spot. The drinks were well prepped, central and South American themed. We enjoyed a nice view, an avocado dip (that donates $1 to a Chicago refugee centre) and great service.Sustainability of venue is good although improvements on vegetarian selection can be made.Bathroom queues long.Love the decor both upstairs and downstairs. Much better than my local hoxton in London.

*loved the coffee bar and baristas. bed was comfy. did not love encountering guests on the elevator who werent wearing masks. also didnt love seeing staff give tours to large groups using the elevators. my room was superficially clean, but there was trash under/behind the furniture. this is a hard time to work at a hotel, so I think these are management issues, not individual staff.

I didn’t know anything about the Hoxton when I checked in, and slowly noticed the smart design with the lobby’s lighting & furniture and well curated playlist. The staff at the front desk are friendly and the visual vibe is modern revision of styles from the recent past. Room was comfy and beautiful. The thoughtful updated hotel manual was fun to read and I loved having a hot water kettle and simple healthy breakfast bags brought to your door. I heart the Hoxton.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with an amazing rooftop restaurant & bar. Our room was a little small but the large walk-in shower & amazing views more than made up for it. The staff was extremely friendly from the front desk, valet, rooftop restaurant to the excellent service we had for breakfast. Definitely coming back!

Rooms feature an upscale decor, tile job in the bathroom is fantastic. No mini-bar or microwave - just a fridge. TV and Bluetooth speaker are top notch. Room service has a nice assortment of tasty breakfast options. Be sure to reserve a place on the rooftop several days before arriving at the hotel.

Hipster nonsense hotel. The decor is nice-ish. But often makes zero sense: see my photo of weird placement of lamp behind TV and chair underneath making it un-useable.Slightly obtuse and rude check-in: overnight parking was $64 and a bit annoyed when I asked about nearby alternatives, despite the presence of several under $20 options within a block.Gimmick nonsense: “breakfast bag” is sold as a cute perk. Spoiler: it is simply “overnight oats and fruit” and poor quality to boot.Meh.

Excellent! This speakeasy is a classy cocktail lounge that will attract the most discerning customers. If yu cant find it, its because its located inside the new Hoxton Hotel. Lazy Bird will eventully have live music; however, not on a nightly basis. So far, they are open daily from 5pm to 2am. The cocktail menu, which is more like a book, features over 50 different cocktails to select from. The Beverage Director, Lee (awesome!!), is a purist. Therefore, he insists on keeping the cocktails in their original form. For instance, if a cocktail was originally made with gin vs vodka, your cocktail will be made accordingly, unless yu state otherwise. I personally suggest the Aviation cocktail. The decor is prohibitionesque, dark with a lot of textures and curtains. Because of the location, there is no cell phone reception. This will absolutely test yur addictions to internet. (Free Wi-Fi is an option) Lazy Bird is a vibe and therefore, I suggest this place for a romantic date. If yur out with friends for drinks, this place can be a lot of fun as well. I predict this will be one of the hottest spots in the Wloop! :p

Great looking interior and common areas. But, the rooms are a total disappointment. Our room was on floor 11 on the El line so every 5 minutes it felt like an earthquake. Bathroom didnt have the basics like qtips or lotion or extra towels. Theres a lite breakfast included with the room and they want you to write your order on a bag and place it on the door handle but the room didnt have a pen to write the order. One bright spot is the chicken gyro I ordered from room service was excellent.Overall, I wouldnt stay here again. Choose Soho House or the Ace.

If you love mid century interior, this hotel is for you. I really love the details of everything. They even provide us boxed water, not plastic bottled water, I think thats very thoughtful. I was sad that I didnt have q chance o eat at cira and cabra because of covid. Their staff was very responsive. I traveled with my 3 mo old daughter and they make sure the room is baby friendly, they provide crib. WhenI was there, the room telephone was not working so I cant order room service or even call the receptionist. No big deal tho, since au cheval burger, gus fried chicken and some ramen place r around the corner, so you can just postmates it.

Great hipster hotel in Chicago. Stayed one night to break up a long drive home. I wished Cabra was open for room service but the food from Duck Duck Goat was a pleasant surprise. They were well stocked with hand sanitizer and wipes, which during Covid, I appreciated. The reviews said the train near by would be really noisy but sounded more like a car passing by. After a while, you dont really notice it. I would stay here again after Covid when vacations are a thing again.

This place not only had a bloody pillow, but left old coffee mugs with old coffee and creamer inside. Not sure how long it was there from before but it was already rotting. The staff was great and understanding and gave us a new room. But later on that day, we flipped over the pillow only to find the same exact pillow we complained about. I am so disgusted and extremely disappointed with my experience. Not only did the staff not clean, but they put us at risk. We ended up in a third room, only to find small curly hairs on the floor in the bathroom and then stepped on a shard of glass. This has to be my worst experience at a hotel.

Didnt stay here and am glad. Was in town for a wedding and all our other friends did. Spent some time all around and it the bar tenders where so slow. They avoided eye contact at all cost. The rooms are tiny and its next to a train. It looks cool but was twice the price of Hampton where we had very large rooms with a lot more services and not next to the train.

Loved this hotel. We stayed in the Cozy room and it wasnt as small as I was expecting. Loved having breakfast outside the door when I woke up. I couldnt figure out the coffee maker, and there wasnt an iron in the room. Im old school, I iron my clothes. But in their defense I didnt call to figure out the coffee maker or to see if they could bring an iron. I will definitely stay here again. Location is walking distance to my daughters place which is a big plus.
