We had the pleasure of staying at this resort for our trip and it was AMAZING!!!!The entire staff was kind and attentive. More than we could have hoped for. Mr. Churchill at the bar, so helpful and really awesome. We appreciate how everyone here went out of their way for us. When we asked around San Pedro what they thought about the place they only said nice things about the resort and the people. You just stay here!!

My husband and I went here for our honeymoon in January 2019 and it was the perfect experience! The resort is beautiful and well-maintained. The owner and staff members are kind, accommodating, and very knowledgeable about the island. We definitely plan to vacation here again in the future!

The entire staff was welcoming, professional and knowledgeable. They happily arranged transportation, restaurant reservations, excursions and answered any and all questions we had. A bonus was the resorts community connections. We always felt like we were with professionals and we had a unique, personalized and all together wonderful experience.. The grounds are beautifully maintained and Orlando (the ground keeper) was full of knowledge about the surroundings. We really appreciated the staffs commitment to making sure our stay was 5 star.

Nice experience. Pool and hot tub were fantastic. Rooms very clean and well equipped. Staff very friendly. The mixed drinks were delicious. There is no restaurant on site.

Beutiful resort and great people...bikes are great to use and kayaking to the reef is awesome...only downfall is the seaweed that keeps you from swimming and the neighboring resorts take away from the feel of this place.

The resort is beautiful and the rooms are well stocked and clean. The staff here is extremely helpful, especially with booking plans while you are here.

The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious. It was nice to have a kitchen. We loved how quiet it was, yet, easy walking distance to activities at the center of town. Taxi, and golf carts for rent, were available when we didnt feel like walking. The staff was helpful. The pool was nice. We didnt have any issue with sargasso odor, and it didnt prohibit us from swimming in the sea.

Wedding at XanaduMy husband and I were married on the beach at Xanadu, mid June of 2018. We brought our immediate families with us, stayed for 6 nights in three different rooms. We rented the ocean view loft, two bedroom garden view, and the three bedroom ocean view. The rooms were great except for mosquitoes on the patio of the garden view room, the others were elevated off the ground and too breezy for bugs. The location is great, walking distance to restaurants and grocery stores. A bit further from town but its actually a really fun walk, we didnt mind one bit. The resort itself is beautiful. We walked the beach quite a bit and this is by far the most secluded, interesting, and unique place.The wedding itself was beautiful, small, and intimate on the beach. My brother-in law was our officiant and Galy Vasquez was the photographer. I was worried about having a reception off site since Xanadu does not allow receptions on the property, but it actually turned out well. We had dinner at Hidden Treasure (they provide transportation to and from), and reception at Casa Picasso. The food at Hidden Treasure was amazing and so was the atmosphere. I highly recommend all of these places if youre considering a wedding in San Pedro. Xanadu staff were wonderful. Special thanks to Melanie, Jessica, Jamil, and Alex.I pretty much researched every resort in San Pedro and I can say for certain that I have zero regrets about Xanadu. If you get a chance to go, ask the front desk for their recommendations on where to eat, not just the most popular places, although really good (Truck Stop, El Fogon, Wild Mangos, Caramba, etc). Some of the smaller places like Robins kitchen will not disappoint. They even cooked the fish we caught ourselves and it was the best Ive ever had.

Great service! Amazing greeting upon arrival and easy communication with the reception staff even before arrival. Only thing to bare in mind is that there is no walk-out beach and a pier is offered instead.

The staff made our trip more enjoyable. They helped to arrange everything we wanted to do. We enjoyed the friendly feel of the resort while still offering privacy. It was full but we felt like we had the place to ourselves. We got to know the staff from the office to the bell hop and the bar staff. They were fabulous. Best mojitos!!! Thank you Winston! We will be back for sure.

Xanadu island resort is a little slice of heaven! From the warm welcome, excellent bartender, amazing pool and beach front, Xanadu offers you a sactuary away from all the hustle and bustle as it is so private and beautifully maintained. We had a two bedroom villa that was lovely, quiet and had an ocean view. As there is a fullly equiped kitchen, we decided to have breakfast and make a picnic lunch and out for dinner around the island. Staff are terrific and the owner is hands on ensuring the grouds are maintained and happy to speak with guests and provide advise on excursions. A fantastic vacation in paradise!!

Very shady pool and well-maintained grounds. Rooms are starting to get a little dated & worn, and decor is a little confusing (Greek statues) but clean. Staff is great, warm, hard-working and responsive (especially Melanie, Winston & Orlando). Good location a little south of town so not as noisy. Close to a market and The Baker for lunch/breakfast. Great carts on site.

This place is absolutely magical. Xanadu is the resort you want to go to for an overall impeccable experience. The grounds are impeccably maintained, the rooms offer more amenities than one could hope for and the outstanding staff complete this experience. Every single person that works there goes above and beyond to make you feel at home with their smiling faces. I love Xanadu and Thank You for making this my favorite vacation.

Quiet, friendly, beautiful, peaceful. Everything you want. Nothing you dont. Close enough to town to walk or bike get to things, but far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle and the party crowd.

I was a guest here, contrary to the owner’s comment. I wasnt going to elaborate on the very generous 3 stars I gave, but now I will in repose to the owner’s comment that I was not a guest there. I stayed here with my bf in October 2018, and found that Xanadu Island Resort grossly misused the word “Resort.” The room was fine, despite the poor water pressure, and the one person working in the resort who was difficult to find when needed, was very polite. This “resort” has no food, and is situated in the middle of swampy, mosquito infested land, amidst dirt paths, and very unfriendly locals. Because of the lack of basic amenities that one would find at a RESORT, we had to find food outside where there wasnt much of anything but mosquitoes and dusty paths. To top it all off the locals who hang out directly in front of the “resort” harassed us, and their unruly children threw rocks at us.

Everything from check-in to check-out was wonderful. The staff is superb. Every one of the staff was friendly and took time every day to see how you were doing and find ways to help you. They were genuinely concerned with ensuring our stay was great. The grounds were immaculate. Franz and Jessica at the front and activities desks were exceptional. Jessica, John and Orlando really helped us plan our daily activities. The resort really makes you feel like you are on a deserted island, but it very close to restaurants and activities. No loud music or traffic, just tranquility. The rooms were very well furnished and clean. We loved the patio outside our room with a table and chairs, a lounge and a hammock.

The Xanadu resort in Belize is amazing. The staff were incredibly helpful and if you have any questions about activities, food or general information they were friendly and incredibly informative.The resort is quiet and very relaxed. The rooms were very nice and comfortable for a family of 4.I highly recommend this hotel/resort.

3 stars, well maintained, basic accommodation with everything you need. Nice to have air con and tv throughout. Nice little pool and bar/office area. Would be good if bar had some snacks available.Private beach kept nicely cleaned. Sargassum stinks day in and day out so would never go in the murky sea water here.Great trips off the island though, however I would not recommend Ambergris Caye for a holiday for UK tourists just yet, unless for snorkelling or diving tours. Developing 3rd world area outwith the accommodation, poor in general and generally didnt feel so safe at night outwith the hotel. Be warned also, trips need a minimum of 4 people or wont depart...even if you booked them as part of your holiday. Thanks to the nice p[ool guy who came to our rescue when we had some centipedes and a scorpion in the room. lol

Great resort. The staff is amazing. Location is far from the main part of island, which can be an inconvenience to eat out and specially drink out without a golf cart, but there are a couple great restaurants close to it.

The staff was accommodating. They made sure we had everything we needed. Were able to buy food and use the in room kitchen or fish and and use their BBQ outside near the waters edge to cook. Definitely on our list to return to.

A beautiful and comfortable resort within a walking distance from everything in San Pedro. The rooms were large, nicely equipped, and clean. The staff was superbly helpful in organizing diving trips, etc. One of very top - perhaps even the best - resorts in San Pedro. Highly recommended!

Wonderful facility with a welcoming and attentive staff. Quiet and relaxing ambience with a nice pool and hot tub and quick access to the beach. Bike and golf cart rentals are complimentary.

There arent enough words (or stars) to describe how much we enjoyed Xanadu, and the people who work there. Highly recommend it!

It was awesome! Spent four days there and had the time of my life! Went snorkeling, and swimming a dozen times - it was paradise.

Relaxing resort to say

What a lovely 3 night stay we had at Xanadu. My business colleagues and I were in 3 separate rooms and we each loved the unique and comfortable accomodations. Right on the water and the jacuzzi looking out over the sea at sunrise was my favorite experience. The kitchens in the rooms are fully equipt and there is a grocery store just one block away so it made dining somewhat affordable (even though I found myself at The Bakery every morning for breakfast.) The staff at Xanadu are beyond fantastic and our checkin was prompt and thorough. I would definately stay here again.

Perfect location (unlike the North, its a 15min walk from downtown San Pedro), quaint, cozy & semi-lux feel, and Incredible customer service - especially from Ingrid & Blanca.Would definitely come back and highly recommend

My favorite spot in San Pedro, location is good close to breakfast spots in the morning and grocery stores, pool is very peaceful wifi is good, staff are well verse in everything you need to know. 20mins boat ride from dive spots

A fantastic place to get away. Great accommodations and great staff.

Very nice amenities. Gave you rum punch as you enter. Got to use the kayak and paddleboard. The place gives you bottled water. Great place to not worry about anything. The only thing is get a golf cart and eat local food. The place is sorta far from restaurants but theres a great daytime grill local food place near Scooby-Doo groomers located right behind it. Also, use Mermaid local convenience store. They had good prices and were friendly.

They raked sand and offered a check in beverage -i was not very fond of the stairs in the room (spiral staircases) hard to get up and down them
