Maliit yung place kaya pumunta pag hindi peek hours
Walang CR, at di nagsasalita yun may ari haha
We tried the kuchay pork dumplings and beef noodles.
Goood food
Pork DumplingPork Dumplings has thin dumpling wrapper filled with well-seasoned pork and vegetables making the former flavorful, especially when dipped on their signature sauce. Each dumpling is made and cooked daily to make sure that Dong Bei serves fresh and flavorful dumplings to their customers. Dong Bei Pork Dumplings costs Php 180.00 per servingsBeef NoodleDong Bei Beef Noodle has al dente noodles; tender and well-seasoned beef; and flavorful soup. The former has a mixture of beefy flavor with a tinge of salty, sour and sweet taste making the soup taste weird but delicious.
沒想到在這裡可以吃到道地的港式撈麵跟點心,非常值得品嚐駐足
The shop was very simple but the dumplings were delicious. You could buy them uncooked and bring them home as well. Recommended if you’re in binondo.
Visited this small restaurant yersterday in binondo. Small place but the kuchay pork dimsum is so delicious. P150 for a plate. Best eaten right away while its hot paired with chili oil and soy sauce. You can see how they make them because they are wrapping the dumplings inside the store. Clean place, fresh food! Gonna come here again sometime.
Great for local street eats. Dont expect anything fancy. More of a carinderia experience but the dumplings are great eats!
Never going back here when we saw a staff scratching his armpit while cutting onion leeks.
A small place but very popular. Food are great and affordable - good for sharing too!
The place Is small. Can only accomodate 4 groups at a time. Too bad, some items in the menu are available. But the Kuchay dumplings are great for its price. Will try the other items next time.
Small place. Place has been getting very popular recently. The price is higher than the quality of the food you’ll be getting. I’ve tried lots of different kinds of dumplings before and the dumplings here are just so so. Kinda felt sad after eating their xiao long bao. The food isn’t bad, but for the price you’ll be paying for it isn’t really worth it in my opinion
Expect a shared table with strangers to maximize the space, excellent food quality, you wont be able to take out your xiao long bao so you have to wait for a seat
Learned about this place from Mark Wiens Youtube channel. Some of the best dumplings Ive ever had. Staff are friendly and helpful.
You can avail freshly cooked dumplings and the taste is so heaven
Ordered xia long bao, server dint advice it will be made, steam and prepared for 15-20 mins ended up walking out.
Small shop, always busy but the dumplings are worth the wait.
The best food! Great service as always...
場所は分かりづらい。テーブルは5つの小さなお店。餃子は非常においしい。来る価値がある。
Overrated. Kuchay dumplings was only available on the menu. Cheap price for a cheap taste.
The vegetable dumpling is better than the pork dumpling
Being able to see your dumpling made just beside your table makes it more tastier to eat
First time to dine at Dong Bei to taste their bestseller Kuchay dumplings, lasang plain ground pork with onion spring. the dumpling sauce is also blaunt and ordinary. Masarap pa chowking siomai.
One of the popular stops if you are doing the Binondo Food Crawl because they serve good and affordable dumplings. They only have a small space thus you may have to wait for queue. Not very sure about the sanitation hehe
Ok, so Dong Bei dumplings is THE place to go for dumplings, specifically kuchai and siao long bao, outside of Beijing and Shanghai (and even then, Dong Bei gives OG dumpling houses in China a run for their money). However, do not expect the restaurant to be romantic, or comfortable for that matter. They take their hole-in-the-wall status seriously, as should you. Go there for the food and bring a cooler to store frozen versions of their dumplings to enjoy at home. If you havent gone here yet, you havent had awesome dumplings.
Expensive. the place is not pleasant at all. there are flour scattered everywhere. staff are not accommodating and looks like they are not happy with what they’re doing. very disappointed. the reviews are overrated.
Loved the kuchay dumplings but the xiao long bao was a bit dry
No wonder people come here, the dumplings are delicious!
Had an unpleasant experience in here, weve waited in line for about 30mins to get a seat since the place was small. After getting a table, they get our order and minutes pass by and finally the foreigner which was also waiting on the line was now on the next table and placed their orders and voila they forgot about us, we had the same order as them. Weve tried to follow up but that one staff is unfriendly. Weve still waited but same things go on, new customers arrived with a foreigner with them but this time a takeout and guess what their order came first, same as us. I dont know why but their priority maybe are foreigners.
Things have changed. The Xiao Long Bao doesnt taste much anymore and are quite small. The upkeep of the place leaves much to be desired.
Ever since they raised their prices, the quality has also gone down a bit. Also, never get the xiao long bao.
When in Binondo, Dong Bei Dumpling is a sure food stop for foodies. This small dumpling place have made a name when in comes to its kuchay dumplings in Binondo area. Imagine rising over above all the chinese restaurant in the area. They key to Dong Bei is their dumplings are freshly made. When you enter their store you will see 3-4 staff busy making dumplings on one of the table. Sanitation wise it was a bit off but hell to that Binondo doesn’t care about sanitation hahaha. When we visited it was jampacked lucky we were able to get a table immediately. There were a lot of binondo tour groups waiting outside. I think this is also one of the reason why they gained popularity. Lucky place guranteed customer haha.We ordered the Kuchay Dumplings just for 180PHP. Another secret of the place very cheap food. Honestly when I tried the dumplings I really don’t get what was all the hype about. It was a simple kuchay dumpling that I used to get outside of my highschoool. Taste and texture wise it was really good but sorry nothing special for a chinese guy like me hahaha.Overall if I’m around the area I will visit the place again but this place is not something I think worth the hassle travelling for the sole purpose of eating kuchay. But again if you are around try it out.
Nice dumpling ( on august 2019 14pcs dumpling = 200PHP )
安くて美味しいですが、わざわざここ目的で行くような場所ではないなと感じました。中華街の観光ついでに。
