1st when I went to hotel for us to pay and check in 1 waited for almost an hour to be exntertained. When I first approach the receptionist I gave him my ID and he said for me to wait. So i wait and been observing them.. many people are checking in our 5 to 7 customers ata un bago uminit ulo ko kasi parang unfair na nauna ako tapos di man lang ako naeentertain.. to my surprise wala na yung lalaki dun na binigyan ko ng ID kaya ang tagal kong naentertain mga mag.iisang oras. Next. Our 1st day is not really good. My namumukpok nakakabwisit at nakakastress na imbis makapagpahinga kmi from our flight un naabutan namin sa assigned room namin. It took a while before was resolve. Next day same thing happened. From morning ganun tapos pag.alis namin at balik sa hapon ganun din. Ang Ingay! tho they suggest na lumipat kami ng room for us its too hassle to do it. Our 1st night as well when we get back di malinis ung room. another inconveniece. Yung good thing lang sa hotel is complete sya ng facility tapos ung location maganda kaya satisfied pa din. Hope you can do better next. Thanks a lot

Bad points ang plain ng room nio, prang nsa kwarto lng din ako ng house nmin, un cr nio one time flush lng tpos ayaw na, sira din un faucet nio sa shower.good points ang bilis ng service nio kpag may request

Im ok with this hotel. Its comfortable. And the room was always clean. There was a hot and cold water but the hot water takes time to heat up. They have accomodating staff.They have good food.

Good pool. Very bad location. Didnt have a good view from our room to see. We didnt get the room we book online we when we got there. Our sink was leaking that we had a puddle. Everything that said it was free online wasnt free in person we had to pay if we wanted an extra towel or laundry or anything else. Every day we had to change the wifi password. We had a very hard time sitting everyone to sit in our tiny little room.

Facilities are too basic, not for a holiday. Food was good though and the jakuzi in the pool looked interesting. Next time I will not go there for a holiday. Maybe for a business trip I would.

Everything is a walking distance- grocery, school, church, lrt, jeepney, etc. The staff though are not very friendly save for some elevator people. They are too strict and too suspicious. I seldom see them smile like most Filipinos or like most people in the hospitality business. Their housekeeping didn’t even bother to wash the used glass and just returned it to the rack as if it it was already clean. Towels do not feel fresh nor do they smell like fresh. Aircon is unsightly and so dirty. TV is old. Internet is slow and you need to go down every 24 hours to ask for new passwords as they won’t give it to you over the phone.

Beautiful and historical hotel. Good selection of food especially Chinese Cuisine. Truly a grand hotel.

I enjoyed my stay here! You get superb quality at an affordable price. The only downside is the location, once heavy rain pours the street is flooded and its hard to go from drop off area to parking. If youre not familiar with the place the hotel is hard to locate, the entrance for parking is different than the entrance at drop off, if its raining i suggest going to the parking right away so that you dont get stuck in traffic.Excellent staff. All are friendly and accommodating.The hotel restaurant is descent, its not the best but quality above normal.

The place is OK as long as you go there in a holiday getaway. It is a congested place during regular day. Relaxation was fine we have great time.

This hotel has always been my first choice everytime I travel back to Manila.(+++)The room is very cozy and with daily make-up room service.(++) Breakfast is buffet style from 6am to 9am, which we like and there are multiple option of food being served on a daily basis. The only minus about the restaurant is that the tables and chairs are not cleaned regularly.(+++) The airport pick up service which cost Php 1,000 is good enough. The staff (named VER) has always been friendly and courteous to us. He deserved to be commented in this review. The shuttle service to SM San Lazaro is very convenient. I suggest you make it a fixed schedule instead of just every 10am ONLY.(--) Sometimes the restaurant staffs are also noisy while we are eating. They should minimize chatting with each other especially while on duty. The receptionists are not fast enough to notice that we are in front of the counter, waiting to be ask if we need anything. 2 of them are at the reception counter and yet nobody bothers to ask us. It took us 20min of waiting for them to finish whatever they are doing. Not supposed to happen especially for frontliners.

The hotel looks nice in the outside but the management should consider on redesigning the hotel. Especially the dining area.

Their rooms were good though, some of their crew has different decision. One of my friend ask for some slippers and theyd got it while when I request one, they said it was for sale. Like how come? Also, you must always ask and follow up your needs maybe they were so busy. What I hate the most was their elevator. They only have 3 working elevator for an 8 storey and has an operator on it. Sometimes, you already wait for almost 5-10mins but wasnt able to get a lift. Hays

Its was satisfactory but it was far from main city and at night you cant go out

A humble hotel located in the heart of Metro Manila. Very near the touristy areas like Intramuros, Luneta (Rizal Park) and Malate Area. With direct access/entrance to an LRT Station (Doroteo Jose). Restaurant inside is a must-try. You can also enjoy its Karaoke Bar and Casino inside. The hotel itself is rich in Philippine History.

Good food, approachable staff, clean rest rooms and perfect venue for seminars.

The location is very accessible. If youre coming from Doroteo Jose Station of LRT1 you need not go down to enter the Manila Grand Opera Hotel- there is an entrance of the hotel from there. There are many meeting rooms here which can be converted to a bigger venue for conferences or parties.

It’s a pleasant stay. With so accommodating staff specially during breakfast. It’s just proper to commend Mr Rey de Guzman.

Big issue:we booked 2 rooms for 2 nights...unfortunately both of the aircon kept having issues and turning off on its own. we had to endure the hot and uncomfortable room on the first night. we brought this to the attention of someone official looking making the rounds on the second morning. he said he will have someone look at it. there was improvement in that the aircon didnt die on us on the 2nd night but it still kept turning off on the 3rd morning.small issues:- the ref was not plugged when we went inside the room...had to find somebody in housekeeping to ask them to help us with it.- we booked the quad room and it was only provided with 2 cups, 2 slippers. toiletries was complete though

Hotel staff warm and friendly, facilities are ok but tv is small and there is no bathtub on the room I was in. Was expecting more variety on their breakfast buffet.

This is actually a great place for your budget, the service is great, buffet in the morning is great and especially the restaurant. If you want to pass the time you can head to the mezzanine, and at night theres a live singer at the lounge in the ground floor.

Basic hotel. Always serving delicious food, and wait staff are attentive. Location is perfect. It has its private way to the LRT station.

Breakfast buffet is good. Downsides: Bedsheets are not clean. Towels dont smell good .

Good clean room that was large enough to be comfortable for two people. Frig for drinks was nice. No hot water was a big negative!! And breakfast was awesome but expensive. The area around the hotel was very dirty and rundown it was not conducive to walking around and shopping. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

The towels had a certain smell on them. I did not bother complaining as we brought our own towels. I requested a 12nn check in bec we took an early flight but was refused as rooms were fully booked. Buffet breakfast is OK.

The familly had a great time. The kiddos enjoyed the pool and we love how close it was to DV. Grams enjoyed the casino. We a had short but good Manila adventure. There was less people in the area because it was a long weekend holiday.

It was good. Love the tub. But the staff arent all smiley. Hahaha. But the food is great and the room is clean.

The staff members were extremely friendly. I love the sauna so did my skin. The hotel looked nothing like the pictures. I requested airport shuttle which I was told was unavailable for my arrival time. I didnt particular like the breakfast options, I wish they served english or continental breakfast. It was quiet and peaceful in the rooms and having been to other countries I actually enjoyed the cable TV channels.

Overall, the hotel staffs were able to provide us the comfort that we need as well as doing such extramile. Our stay gave us an away from the metro feels hence we were just a few meters away from the lrt station. Kudos to everyone.
