One of my all timr favorite restaurant. Nice ambiance, awesome people and delicious foods.

和民がここでは高級日本料理店を開いている。米は日本米。味も問題なし。スタッフ間の連絡がよくなく、何度、旅行者と説明しても、スタッフが代わる毎に会員カードを勧めてくるのは困った(笑）/ Japanese izakaya Watami open a luxurious Japanese restaurant in Shangli-ra mall. They use Japanese rice. The quality is good. But the correspondence btw the staffs not good. I explained I was a traveler, they recomend me of membership card, when the new staff comes.lol.

Very satisfactory service and Food Quality!

Service was fast and food was good. An improvement from the last time we ate there over two years ago. I stopped going that time because service was slow even after the lunch rush hour.

If you are into Sushi or Sashimi you will definitely like the king dragon. Love their ice tea. Did not give 5 stars as there is still opportunity to improve.

I have tried all the Japanese restaurants in Shangri-La Plaza, but Watami is one that I frequently visit. I have tried many of their menu items, but what I had today was exceptional. The spicy miso ramen was really good paired with tuna taco maki, chicken thigh, and tender diced beef cubes. I’m also hesitant when ordering ebi-tempura because it sometimes comes out soggy and oily from other restaurants. But not this time! It was crispy and fried to perfection!The employees here are attentive, chef is good, and manager running this place is doing a great job. Overall, great customer service. So if you if you find yourself wandering around Level 6 and craving Japanese food, definitely hit this place up.

Upscale place with a great selection of sushi, sashimi, and rice bowls. Atmosphere is great for a casual night with friends or family.

Chasu Ramen was pretty good chicken noodle soup, something you take with a bad cold. But it does not come close to other Ramen in the same price range of p395 ++ (ramen nagi and ramen kuroda) Try the Nori Nachos its a life saver of sorts, otherwise 1 star only. If you have a bad cold, come here for the chicken noodle soup ... but if you have a serious craving for Japanese Ramen, then avoid Watami like the plague.

I expected more fish in their sushi rolls. Instead I got rolls with shredded cucumber and carrots inside, with a narrow sliver of fish on the outside. I ordered two kinds of sushi rolls, and it was the same. I guess you get what you pay for.
