I was there with my 2 cousins on a private business meeting after coming from my former place in S. Forbes Park. While having a conversation, I took a chorizo sandwich in an English muffin with cheese & lettuce & a grande cup of cold fresh milk ().
I was running Starbucks-related errands today, which involved buying food and drinks, and topping up a Starbucks card. I placed the order for the food and drinks and told the barista that I was also topping up the card. She took the store card from me because she said it could be done in one transaction. Note that I never gave instructions to charge all the items to the Starbucks card after topping it up. If thats what I wanted her to do, I would have said so. At the end of everything, I expected to pay for the food and drinks, and the top-up amount for the card, in one transaction because she said it could be done that way. Instead, the barista topped up the card then charged the orders to the card. I had her re-do the transaction as I had originally instructed: to pay for food, drinks and the top-up amount of the card and she told me that if I didnt charge the items to the Starbucks card, I would not get the points. I understand her concern about the points but it was not up to her to charge the items to the card (to be more efficient) because it is not what I asked for. I also dont actually have to explain whose card it is and why I am topping up for someone else). In the end, buying food and drinks, and topping up the card were two separate transactions, which is not what she told me in the beginning. This is the second time this kind of misunderstanding happened at this branch. The first time, I paid for the top up first but the barista still charged the items to the store card when I did not tell her to do so and told me that buying drinks and food, and topping up the card are two separate transactions. I think the staff need to be retrained on understanding instructions.
