A highly accessible hipster resto located at corner Sgt. Esguerra Avenue. The place is relatively small but the food is worth every penny. The staff are highly attentive and knowledgeable. They asked us if its our first time to visit and explained their bestseller dishes once they arrived. There is parking up front. We ordered chicharon teriyaki, beef-spinach lasagna, chocolate tart, ube fight, and iced mocha. The chicharon teriyaki as starter was divine: the combination of caramelized thin strips of pork, nori, and cream cheese is like an explosion of flavors in your mouth.Meanwhile, their chocolate tart is 64% dark that is of single-source origin from Davao. At first, it is dense, until it touches your tongue and melts into this smooth, velvety chocolate goodness. Highly recommend these two dishes.Expect moderate pricing and do leave a tip as theres no service charge in the bill. All in all, will come back the next time Im in the area.

I only intended to grab some iced coffee but ended up ordering their bestselling dessert—the 64% Dark Chocolate Tart. The main ingredient, single origin cacao from Davao, sits on an almond sugar crust with a side of cream and Himalayan pink salt. Salt is said to enhance flavors, in this case the sweetness of the chocolate.Upon serving the beautifully plated tart—which looked more like a smooth, triangular chocolate bar—the server recommended that I try it plain first, then combine it with a bit of salt and cream. I love it when the crew gives thoughtful suggestions on how to taste the food. The flavors were spectacular. Note, however, that I have no specific preferences when it comes to chocolate; I like milk chocolate just as much as I like dark. The main dishes on offer like the Arroz Con Pollo and Chicharron Teriyaki are enticing. Guess I should drop by for both dinner and dessert next time.

The food was great. The fusion-type food was delicious as expected. The pastas and pizzas were very very good!As for the place, its a calm and dark place; good for conversing with friends. However, its not a big space so big groups might not be accomodated properly. The service was fantastic. The servers were so attentive and polite. Quite helpful too, they guide their clients on the food served.Overall a great experience. I would definitely come back again (and again)

Been wanting to eat here. When they opened for dine-in in GCQ we took our chance. During this time in order to keep their resto clean from virus they offer dine-in alfresco. The experience was a disappointment. Their alfresco is not properly setup. All foods will be serve on a take out paper box. The have a limited menu We ordered the following :Beef Lasagna with Cream Cheese and Spinach- taste like regular lasagna- one bit is enough for me and I wont finish the whole plate- I wont be back for thisAll cheese puff pizza- one bit is enough for me and I wont finish the whole serving- I wont be back for thisArroz con Pollo- first bite is good and I will finish the whole plate- I wont be back for thisTres Leches- first bite is good and I will finish the whole cake- I will be back for this

Good restaurant. The best thing we had was the potato leek soup and the 64% chocolate tart. The lasagna was delicious as was the arroz con pollo. The chicharon risotto is also recommended. Arguably the best restaurant in the area.

Half Saints is undoubtedly one of my favorite restaurants in Tomas Morato. Their dishes are well thought of and well executed. The Chicharron Teriyaki appetizer and Camiling’s Chicharron risotto are both winners but I won’t order the two at the same time as they’re both bagnet dishes. Their pizzas are also quite interesting as the unique crust texture resembles more the buttery and flaky croissant than the regular doughy bread. The interiors also look clean and modern while there’s ample parking outside and at the basement of the establishment.

Half Saints has unique and quality food, intimate ambience, clean restroom (I really have something for clean restrooms, hehe) and accommodating staff! My friends and I ordered the following: Ratatouille Puff Pizza (P325), Arroz Con Pollo (P395), Braised Tomato & Mozarella Cream Penne (P320), and 64% Dark Chocolate Tart (P220). All the food we ordered were just enough for the three of us and good for sharing. However, one plate is actually good for 1 person only.As to the food, Im not really a fan of their puff pizza but it was a nice take on a usual carb-loaded pastry crust since its very light. Imagine eating croissant because thats basically a puff pastry, folded many times before baked. Anyway, the pastry itself was good and the vegetables (Ratatouille is a French vegetable stew usually made of zucchini, eggplant, and tomatoes--thanks Binging with Babish!) made it more interesting. TAKE NOTE, this is a pizza without any cheese on it so brace yourselves cheese lovers! But you may always politely ask for condiments including parmesan cheese. ;)The Arroz Con Pollo we had was similar to a Filipino arroz caldo but a dry version. Just like our local arroz caldo, the rice was cooked on the chicken broth and other herbs. The dish was served with a single thigh-leg chicken probably the base of the chicken stock. It was not the fanciest but I love it the most among our orders because the rice was very very flavorful and the chicken was soft, juicy, and tender. The braised tomato & mozarella cream penne pasta we ordered was not quite memorable for me but my friend enjoyed it so much! She even scraped off the cheese sauce left on the plate. It was a meat-free pasta dish so taking a bite was not painful at all.Their dark chocolate tart was divine! It was served with Himalayan salt and whipped cream on sides. The staff told us to first try the tart without salt and cream, then with salt, and lastly with all three. Since I love dark chocolate, this will be one of my go-to dessert to satisfy my cravings (as well as CBTLs Guiltless Chocolate Cake)! Thank heavens for cacaos! THIS IS RECOMMENDED.Aside from the food, the place also has a unique touch in it. The modern rustic interior give its diners a semi-fancy experience. The lights were quite dim so taking photos were a miss unless youre using iPhone X, among others.PS: Half Saints allows RESERVATIONS! So better make a reservation before going there especially during peak hours of Monday-Saturday (Sunday is not a problem).[Dine in experience in 2019, review originally posted in 2019; edits were made in 2020.]

The place is a little small but definitely one of the best in the area. Their arroz con pollo was so good I couldnt stop thinking about it days after. The chicharon terriyaki was surprisingly good and I wondered why other restaurants didnt try to replicate this flavor combination. The pizzas were served on a flaky puff pastry crust and were all really really delicious. The desserts were good but definitely paled in comparison to their amazing mains.

Not that impressed. Arroz con pollo tad too spicy... bland flavors for the braised egg benedict. Star for us was the tomato soup.
