The best hotel to stay in Ilocos. They have pools and wide beach. They have adventure activities like ATV. The rooms are nice, its a nice rustic old Spanish.Highly recommended!

Great place to stay if you are planning for Illocos. Magnificent grounds, green nature, luxurious swimming pool, leisure sports, casino, beach, zoo...it has everything for everyone. Hospitable people working in there. Beautiful architecture with many restaurants within to choose from.

Instagramable place with beautiful classic and vintage aura. There is no entrance fee if you just want to visit and take some pictures. They can accomodate you very well. And you can book also a room with budget friendly room.

The place is nice there is also a recreation facilities inside and a mini zoo for kids..3 restos(chinese, filipino and a bar) to choose from a bit pricey about ₱500-600 per head but of course it is inside the hotel there are small eateries outside the hotel if you want cheaper foods... vicinity in the airport and the town proper of Laoag city is okay and the staffs are very accomodating only downside i can see is the television has a blurry signal and wifi access is not that good

Massive and beautiful property but poorly managed! I was shocked to find out that you cant even get a cup of latte or cappuccino at a huge hotel. Apparently their coffee machine is broken so only brewed coffee is available. Also, I ordered room service and was told that my food will arrive in 15-20 minutes. My food arrived after 45-50 minutes.

Pretty and relaxing surroundings! We tried some of their recreational activities such as archery & golf. Well definitely come back~

Fort Ilocandia Asst. GM & Sarita Ablan, Director of Sales greeted us at the hotel entrance and we had a sit-down interview with them and had a walkthrough tour of some of the hotel’s facilities. The hotel has 219 rooms and one presidential room which is very special. It is classified as a deluxe hotel & it is a PEZA property. It can accommodate 600-700 person for conventions. Its clients are mostly Japanese, Europeans, Chinese including online bookings & tour partners with about 80% occupancy rate with an off peak promo of P4,000/person inclusive of breakfast .We had a sumptuous dinner at the Macau VIP room.

Very good, Nice and clean many things to do and see. The swimming pools are very good. Its a bit isolated from the town.

The lobby view in the hotel is super nice. I love how the interior goes well with what Ilocos is famous for - cobblestones. We didn’t stay here but they allow tourists to check out the place.

We just passed by for some picture taking and we were allowed to.roam around the place. Good ambiance. Spacious. Clean. Quiet. Instagrammable view.

The best place to stay in Laoag City, Ilocos Sur. The accommodation here is not cheap. I will not recommend this place to those tourist without their own vehicle. This is far from the town propper of Laoag City. But if you have your own service, it is the best place to stay. Thay have a large pool and a casino.Very relaxing place to stay, near the ocean and few vehicles. Private services vehicles only.

Still the best hotel in the north. It has almost everything, including nice beach and other summer-related amenities. The staff were friendly. Breakfast is simple, nothing fancy. If youre from Metro Manila or the landlocked parts of Central Luzon, be warned that the ambient temperature here is hotter. Better wear/bring appropriate clothing.

The grandness of a Shang but has somehow has gotten a little old but still very comfortable, very quiet, very peaceful. There are plenty of things to do here; horse back riding, golf, pistol shooting, archery, sand boarding, fishing, boating, ATV ride, KTV and so much more. You can literally spend your weeklong vacation here.

This place is very instagrammable! We had a tour here but we didnt stay here for a night. We just had a glimpse of every area.Upon going inside, I thought its not working anymore because there are not so much people going up and down, place is so quiet and it feels like going back to collonial era. So creepy haha! Thanks because the Bougainevilla plant made it cuter and instagram worthy.Those brick walls are so relaxing, Theres a cafè in there. But most of the features are not in function anymore. I dont know maybe its still early when we got there.Theres a pool at the back with a beach view which is a plus here

Need some renovation, food is good. But its shows the age of the hotel. The pool is not properlymaintained. Use to be one of the best hotel during Marcos time.

This is a grand property with beautiful grounds. Our room was spacious and clean with a beautiful view of the pools. We had a wonderful stay which was made superb by the absolutely amazing staff. Wed like to make special mention of Arnell (restaurant server), Herbert (housekeeper), Noel (gym attendant), as well as the pool and recreational attendants (sorry, cant remember their names). Cant wait to return!

Its geared towards domestic and international tourists. It should think of ways to become more local tourist-friendly

Very relaxing and mediterranean ambience

The property is great with a lot to do during the season. Rodel the waiter at the restaurant is the best. He took such good care of us. This was a special time for us because it was not only the birthday day of my fiancée but also I proposed on this trip and he had the chef make her a cake. We were late for our lol free breakfast and he took care of us. We were here in September and it is their off season so a lot of the activities were not going on. I am looking forward to come when they are.

Relaxing place to take a rest, lux facility, tasty breakfast. Behind this hotel I could relax my soul at the seashore.

Hotel staff are warm and service oriented. good service and delicious/authentic food served at lunch and dinner. really traditional atmosphere when it comes to furniture and paintings. the environment is relaxing and good access to all facilities.The main point of improvement is availability of service car for couples since only available is 5pax to avail of city and other far areas within the province. the place is a heritage and cultural site due to its vast area. our overall stay is very good.

Really love the place. Really gives the feel of royalty. If you want a place to relax, it really is the excellent place to stay. It is also beside the sea so feeling the sea breeze aside from the fresh forest air is so relaxing.

The whole place itself was amazing... very relaxing and quiet. Hotel amenities was all nice. The staffs were so nice too but the rooms needs improvement and renovation. The room doors was old and the aircondition was not so much getting cold. The carpet under the bed should be cleaned more as the dirt was just under it.

Fort Ilocandia Resort Hotel, ‪Barangay 37, Calayab, Laoag, Ilocos Norte, 2900, Philippines‬It is hot here and the air-con in my room is not good, it is noisy. The place needs to be brighter as it’s very dim and dark in places..the pictures in the promotion on here are bright and light and do not reflect what it says.. the reception area is too warm and the fans on the ceiling do nothing at all to cool the area down, on sone occasions they were not turned on. My bathroom is also dim and dark with just 2 lights; these lights are yellow and not bright, the walls are dark; decor is dark wood, which makes it even darker. The carpets on the main stairs and staircase are worn and the rug in my room too, a yellow patterned one had stained marks on it in some places. My room had 2 cockroaches and mosquitoes and l had to ask them to spray the room. Within the details for the property it says they is a Spa? they is not! I asked for Spa details and the receptionists tells me that the service stopped 1 year ago.. I am really disappointed with the hotel and wished l not booked it.. l went to sit by the swimming pool as the pictures in Hotel.com are so inviting and was let down, the water in the pool looked murky., and not clean.. they is no umbrellas next to the sun loungers and the pool attendant tells me that they do not have any for the area..you can not get a Cappuccino or Espresso; why? The only good thing about the hotel is the Chinese Restaurant; this is good.

This property has beautiful landscaped gardens. However, it is a very sad excuse for a 5 star rating. They advertise a lot of facilities that don’t exist. Examples are the ‘Piano Bar’, the ‘Lagoon Bar’. Just not there. Dirty tables, windows and sub standard wifi. Worse, they have a zoo, where the animals are kept in terrible conditions. Unbearable to watch monkeys with their babies in tiny cages with dirt floors, nothing to play with. Terrible cruelty. Horse tied up in the burning sun with no shade, no water, a very tight chain around his neck. So terribly wrong, so sad. Food from the menu was often unavailable. Staff unhelpful. Disinterested. While I realize this is the ‘best’ hotel in the region, it reflects poorly on the region. They should be able to do a lot better. The animals particularly upset me. I would never go back.

Primary facility is in good condition but others supporting activities have not been maintained or allowed to be in un-usable, Staff were very friendly and eager to assist.

Very well-maintained in spite of its age, from the buildings and rooms; the gardens look lush and well cared for; the breakfast buffet is disappointing if compared to what newer hotels with the same room rate offer. Their longganisa ,when on the menu, is good. The kitchen staff can accommodate take-out breakfast if requested the night before. We left the hotel very early for an event and we had we had to eat breakfast while on travel.There were very few guests both times we checked in. Maybe it was the off season?

The whole place is huge. Over all its excellent. Just need to add bidet in the rooms. Very important.

It has been my second time around Ilocos region, and I am amazed to know that there is such a high-class hotel-resort that offers a lobby tour for a short period of time. Gladly, the security guards and hotel receptionist are all attentive and vibrantly smiling. Kudos Fort Ilocandia! Must visit if you are planning to find your soul this summer!

Gracious hosts. Manicured lawns. Some spots ruined by supertyphoon couple weeks ago being worked on at present. Quiet hotel as compared to when Casino was inHouse. Great food at Chinese Restaurant and at the Cafe. Guestroom bath needing update. Overall, 4.5star hotel outside the city...Will be back
