I had ordered this smash cake for my sons birthday pictures and it was beautifully done and tasted amazing!

Delicious food and yummy desserts in a really nice place! It changed my mood from annoyed (something previous that happened to me) to delighted

Sad to say but the pastries have really gone downhill since they were bought out and expanded. Croissants are not any better than starbucks or airport coffee shops. Floppy, not crispy…meh. Shadow of former self….go to la sicilia (close by and better) or magnol (best croissants in houston - easily) instead.

Their quality is as close to perfection as you can get. Every dish, every pastry and caffeinated drink is top notch. I used to visit Common Bond in the past and have had some good memories here. Nothing has changed infact they have improved in certain areas with respect to customer service and even an additional parking lot about a block away. I can’t say enough good things about this Bistro/Bakery. Pics included.

Check out another Common Bond if you want good coffee. This one was so sour/acidic. The barista obviously doesn’t know what they’re doing. We legit couldn’t even finish it. Disappointing since the one on West 19th St has just amazing coffee! Go there instead.The staff were all very friendly though, and their desserts are still very good.

We ordered the avacado with bacon toast. OMG! It was awesome. The hibiscus mimosa is refreshing and a must try. Common bistro is surely one of the best places to have brunch in Houston. Weekends brunch might get a little busy. The bakery has a lot of options for pastries and crossaints. It is really hard to chose one.

Great food - the pistachio croissant, macroons, and tomato- burrata sandwich were so delicious!! Relaxed atmosphere, will definitely be back!

Their chocolate chip walnut cookies are the best (after Levain). Worth the $4.50 .The Lox toast was decent - not cheap with their portions of salmon! But it could use a little more cream cheese.The jalepeno gravy on the chicken & biscuits

I dont know why they got such great review and so popular with customers, very crowded, the parking area is very full. They have a wide selection of pastries, me and my friend tried Kouign-amann( which I believe is their signature) and a butter croissant( best pastry to test a bakery), we both think they were just average for such a popular place.

It was easy to find and good parking in their own little lot. When you walk in there is an electric menu stand. Walk further in, you notice the dining setup. You get in line to place your order before you grab a table. As you walk thru the line you get to see all the pastries & cookies. Everything looks good. We ordered the pear, pumpkin croissant, 44 farms hamburger and pepperoni flat bread. The pear was delicate. Cracked the shell and you get a surprisingly soft pear flavored cream with chunks of pear. The pumpkin croissant was flakey with a hint of cinnamon. The pumpkin did not over power the whole thing. 44 farms hamburger was very juicy. Unfortunately not a lot of flavor. There were suppose to be mushrooms, but I only saw one. And the mushroom had more flavor than the hamburger. The pepperoni flatbread was thin like it should be but plenty of flavor. The goat cheese did not over power the pepperoni nor the jalapeno. It was good. Yes, I am going back & the flatbread I would get again. I also want to try their salads. They have a coffee bar as well. You can tell that there are people who go there often. Plenty of people go to write, work on their computer, quick lunch with friends or family outing. A few tables outside. The staff for the most part were very polite & helpful.

Omg this place is my favorite! The food is outstanding! I went everyday while in town. Great atmosphere too.

I went on a Saturday morning and it was packed. Thats usually a good sign so I didnt mind the wait. The parking lot is small and divers need to be aware of people coming in through the exit entry. Once my friend and I were inside they take your order. If you dont know what you want you can always go up and order without standing in line again. I ordered an almond croissant, chocolate chip cookie, nutella croissant, an oatmeal cream cookie, biscuits and gravy, and herbal tea. My tea took 15 minutes to arrive after my food had arrived. I had to keep asking the waiters about our drinks. My friend ordered a mimosa and it took about 15 minutes to arrive as well. The pastries were good. The oatmeal cookie was the best. The food portions are very large. You get a lot for your money. I wasnt a fan of the almond croissant, I felt it was dry and needed more almond cream. Overall, I really enjoyed Common Bond. Its a great addition to Montrose.

Seems like everything is delish here! Lox Tartine is to die for! Dont forget to check out their pastries!
