The staff at American RV Resort was very friendly. Also the wifi and cable worked fine. They also have great website that makes the site look appealing, however this review is about the sad state of this park. The $110 nightly fee hardy makes it a “resort”…tonight it appears prices have dropped to more realistic rates of $40-$50. Deferred maintenance is nonexistence. The metal table at our site was so riddled with rust we never used it, the curbing though out the park is fractured every few feet, cracks in the pavement in some places were 2-3” wide making tripping hazards a real possibility, weeds were growing abundantly around sketchy grass. Then the laundry room…yuk. The to the door to laundry was delaminating and scuffed and peeling. The i40 highway noise is so extreme that we asked to be moved as far fro it as possible which the friendly staff did, but the noise was 24 hours a day, nonstop and LOUD! We have stayed in some top notch $100 a night parks and they have every detail right. At the American RV Park (not Resort), everything is dated, broken, cheesy with zero attention to detail. How Trip Advisor could rank it number one? Stay if you must over ni, but we sucked it up for 5 long nights. There is another big RV site just before American RV, but it looked even worse.

Very nice park with paved spots to park your RV in. There is still access to very nice laundry facilities and a good area to exercise fido. I felt that the prices were reasonable as well.

This park has been here for years and it is well established with great shade trees, etc. The spaces are pull through, but a little short perhaps for todays behemoth buses. With the lovely COVID bs, they were not opening their bathrooms or shower house.Having looked at all the other RV parks, and knowing Albuquerque quite well, I said Im going out on the Mesa.Cant do 5 stars w/out bathrooms and showers, otherwise, wonderful place.

The dog park was really far off and small for the size of the park. Other than that they were accommodating as we had a big rig.

Beware of the unsanitary water hookup! Offered to get Department of Health involved if owners do not correct asap. Underground nested hookup hadbugs, spiders, candy dirt COVERING uncapped water spigot. Noisy I-40 day and night. No staff available after 4pm until 8:am. Overpriced for what they have.

Restrooms and showers closed(they dont tell you this when you book a reservation). Wifi doesnt work due to issues with the router. Water turned off without notice. Stayed here because they had the best ratings. DO NOT STAY HERE DURING COVID PANDEMIC. sites are also a little small and hard to get in to, we had to hop a concrete curb in order to fit in the spot. Office closes early with no camp site manager to refer to if you have issues.

Drove 27 hours to Albuquerque to find out that we could not stay due to no bathrooms being available since we were camping in a tent. It was NOT on their website and they let us a book a tent site without calling to notify us that there was no available facilities. Absolutely unacceptable. We received confirmation - youd think they would have checked their reservations and called us since we booked 2 weeks in advance. Just poorly managed.

Staff very friendly, resort looks clean BUT at the night, a lot of cockroaches... there was a nest of cockroach on my site, something like 20 cockroaches around my car during the night. And there was no food or garbage... I changed site by myself and there was less cockroaches, but still too much...They should take care of that, because when I pay 40 dollars for a night in a rv park, I expect to have something clean. Full of huge ants too, but this problem is less important. Restrooms are clean. Showers ok.

Because of the pandemic the pool...bathrooms...and office were closed. However its very clean and nice here. Close to the highway and close to a Smiths grocery store.

This is one of the best RV parks/resorts Ive stayed in. They have paved sites, both pull thru and back-in. They will lead you to your site and help you get settled. The staff is very courteous, and wont answer the phone while theyre caring for you. I recommend staying here to everyone. Great park.

We travel a lot in a smaller RV but often boondocks. The was a nice change, cement pads, picnic tables on a pad, grass, bush & tree at each site too. Many pull through for large rigs. This was full during Balloon Festival, and service was still good. I was a happy camper.

Crooks. After 3 phone calls to reserve a spot big enough for my rig,( it took 3 calls because the young lady taking reservations just started working there and was not familiar with park specifics like lot size, concrete or gravel, etc...) They took my deposit and then informed me of higher price scale in middle of my stay due to Balloon Fest. Still waiting for my deposit to be refunded. They are price gouging. The Manager wasnt concerned that I felt I had been mislead and didnt care if I stay with them or not. This park seems to be anything but American.

It was definitely one of the better RV Resorts weve been to over the years. It has a hot tub and heated pool. A Continental breakfast is included (muffins, bagels, toast, cereal, boiled eggs coffee, and juice). It is surrounded by the Sandia Mountains and has easy access to the highway. There is a playground and dog park. We went in October during the balloon fiesta, and it was full for the most part. The weather was great with temperatures at 40-50 early morning and 70s in the afternoons.
