While the area is not very safe, there were lots of people sitting in lawn chairs on the property or even a sofa, in one case; there was no noise, arguments or trouble. Some of the people watched out for each other, making it far safer than it appeared. The room was clean.

This motel is dirty and grimy. I was going to cancel reservation but found out they had already charged my card at 6pm. I checked in at 9pm. And they needed $50 deposit on top.. this is unheard of in hospitality industry especially during covid-19. At arrival the room smelled strong of cigarette smoke even though it was non smoking. The sink had dirt stains and the shower faucet was permanently stuck facing the wall. Did not have a pleasurable experience.

My family and I stay here every time we go to Albuquerque. I cannot get over how cheap they are for what you get. Consistently friendly staff, beds arent half bad for being away from home, always clean, and always low price! The only time we stay somewhere else, is if this is booked. If youre looking for pretty or cute, youll need to look elsewhere. Oherwise, this place is great, especially if you want to save money for all the fun while travelling.

Great hotel, the room is clean and well stocked. Close to everything (Wal-Mart is a couple blocks), fast free wifi, well maintained, 24 hr on-site coin-op laundry, friendly staff and pet friendly all at a good price... Cant beat it for the price in Albuquerque.

First time stay at a Suburban Extended Stay property. Had to be in Abq for just one night and this was the only room accommodation left due to Balloon Fiesta. I was hoping the property was not a dump. I was pleasantly surprised with our room as soon as I unlocked the door. Clean, not smelling used or grimy and a full service kitchenette that was spotless. It was a quick in and out business stay and I will definitely stay again as need arises in Abq.

The Albuquerque location is tucked off the main street in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by other extended stay hotels and a county government building. The neighborhood is clean. The hotel itself is attractive, the rooms are nicely decorated and clean. I would highly recommend the Albuquerque location.

A favorite home away from home. As an Albuquerque native, I am well aware of all the places to stay there, but always come back to the Suburban. I have been staying in that same building for at least 30 years, through many changes; but it has definitely improved since Choice took it over.

It was warm, soothing, concealing, and bright... Even in the darkness of night. The only disappointment was that I did not have the opportunity to ride a sabertooth tiger. However, that is beyond our control, so no harsh judgement. You did your best, and I know if you could have facilitated this experience, you most certainly would have... And I would most certainly have done the same for you. I have shared my hotel story with my entire village and it made them cry with inspiration.

The parking lot wasnt suitable for the amount of vehicles that were there. Would prefer to have your vehicle visible from your own room versus parking further away. And since when is 1 role of tissue paper and 4 towels enough for 2 people?? But truly and overall good experience! I have no problems with staying again!

Close and convenient to all events I had to attend. Room was ok, nothing special but I stayed there only for shower and sleep. Staff helpful and courteous. There was a security person early in the morning who was great. She anticipated my needs and was so upbeat that it made my day at 6am.

On reservation I requested Ground Floor due to Disability but was put upstairs anyway —no elevators. Having forced me upstairs Suburban did NOTHING to help me drag luggage up there. In the room I found zero site or Cable info and a 20-yr-old tube TV incapable even of showing the current channel number—especially aggravating since I was stuck there so much due to pain caused by stairs. After 2 days of this featuring none-to-poor communication from staff on availability of a Grnd Flr room —inc staff lying to my face saying other staff had told me words never said —I was FINALLY afforded a Grnd Flr room whereupon Suburban AGAIN did Zero to help me move heavy (re-packed) luggage on stairs. This further exacerbated my Chronic Pain until Incapacitation UTTERLY disrupted the rest of my week-long stay. So near $1000 in expense ended up mostly wasted. At least the 2nd, Grnd Flr room had a folder with hotel and Cable info, and a flatscreen—hi-def capability of which was wasted since this Suburban hadnt contracted hi-def from its Cable provider. Detail (e.g. credits) often indecipherable due to poor resolution. Nor were Cable schedule info/settings available via remote/menus as at any other hotel. Insult-to-injury, the 2nd room had no shampoo & only ½ mini-bottle of conditioner... PLUS, HBO listed by hotel NOT inc, the sole TWO premium channels (of a whopping +/- 50 total Cable channels) were instead Showtime.

I did like that the fridge kept my food and drinks cold.I didnt like that my white socks turned black with my shoes off. I didnt like that there was pet food on the floor in the kitchen. It was just one triangle shape, could have been cat food (that tells me there was probably an animal in there before me-what if I was allergic to said animal). I didnt like that there were no paper towels in the kitchen, no tissues in the bathroom, and no blow dryer in the bathroom. I didnt like that I couldnt find information to the property like a pool or work out room. All I found was a menu to order from.

This hotel was the worst hotel Ive ever stayed at.When we got to the hotel it smelled really bad and the bed sheets had stains all over them. The kitchen has stains all over the walls. When my husband called the front office to ask them to clean it they said they would and they never did. We went to the state Fair and came back, the room wasnt cleaned at all. When we went to the front office the guy rudley told us that we were issuing the room cause we were gone for 8 hours and when he checked the room he starting yelling and arguing with us. Worst hotel every not worth it. Studied at the Marriott across the street and it was the best and there staff was super friendly.

Housekeeping is doing a good job of having rooms fresh and inviting. Staff are professional with patience and generosity to assist with what needs you present. Sure some of the rooms could use updating, but it seems they are working on that bit by bit. Good kitchen facilities, full size refrigerator, 2 burner stove and full size microwave. All in good repair!!

We always stay in this hotel when we are traveling through Albuquerque on our way to and from AZ. The staff are always friendly and helpful, they always give us a main floor room. We usually borrow a toaster and it is brought to our room. We enjoy making a light supper and a bit of breakfast before we leave in the morning. After a long day of driving my husband is happy to eat a home cooked meal in our room.

It looks nice from the outside, and thats about all this place has. The room we got was so dirty, and smelled like dirty sewer. We asked them to clean our room while we went to the fair all day, and came back to the same dirty room. Talked to the manager, and after arguing, and shouting finally got our money back. We went over to the residence inn next door and had a way better stay.

Very adequate and affordable for a longer stay in Abq. King room was plenty roomy for two persons and a large dog, ground floor as there is no elevator if stairs are a problem. The kitchenette made things very comfy as snacks and drinks could be right at hand since breakfast is not furnished by the hotel. But for the prices, that is quite understandable and okay.Did not pay for housekeeping service but were able to get towels, tissue, anything needed from office as requested. Did request an iron and ironing board, got board about 11:30 the night we checked in, never got the iron! But also did not re-request it. Room was clean, a bit worn like me but certainly not horrible. Bathroom is quite roomy, good shower once you could get it adjusted. Some people posted about the carpets but I wore flip flops every time I was on the carpet so I cant address that issue. Area is not far from I40, close to some restaurants and Whole Foods, easy access to many things. A pool would be nice but not necessary. There is a separate area away from rooms for dog relief and it seemed most people actually did honor it. I would stay here again when on a several day visit to the area.

This hotel was really not bad for the price at all, though there were several things that I had to address about the room (no microwave, chair, or trashcans/ashtrays. If you dont speak Spanish, good luck getting anything out of housekeeping... However...Three staff members stood out and remedied any issues I had promptly and efficiently. Darwin, Arian, and Ashley. They were friendly and helpful. Arian did a lot to make himself known during the night and made me feel quite safe there on the nights he was working (you could tell when he was not working because of the change in people loitering around the hotel property). Darwin and Ashley both went above and beyond to ensure I could stay as long as I needed and helped me any way they could. If not for the great staff I would rate this hotel a little lower, but people make the place and the staff here (housekeeping excluded) were all pretty great.

This was one of the most disgusting place I visited!! The dark brown carpet was stained(didnt think that was possible)! I dont know how theyre passing any type of inspections!

Room was not what we ordered. would not let us check in 20 minutes early- the first room smelled so bad of flooring adhesive that we could not use it. Staff said it was deodorizer.Manager had to get involved to check out room. Moved us to another room that we had to wait to be cleaned, reserved a King size bed and received Queen bed, Refrigerator door was broke, no table or night stand in room. A/C did not cool room, Car was stolen and no security cameras in lot on our side of the building. This has been the worst experience I have ever had staying a a hotel property. Spent a month here and found it to be perfect for those on a tight budget that also value their personal safety. They were even installing hi-performance flood-lighting to keep the parking lot lit overnight. If youre like me and happy with microwaved burritos and Bud Light, or if youd rather cook up your own meals via stove-top burner, this place is for you. Best of both shopping worlds within 10 minute walks (Whole Foods towards the south on Carlisle, Wal Mart to the north on Carlisle). Also a Savers and a Kmart within walking distance. A famous BBQ place is a 3 minute walk from the hotel (its called Rudys). No silly flat screen TV in the room, cuz really, who cares how flat a TV screen is? Not me. The AC fought off the 100 degree June Albuquerque sun beautifully. The free wifi always worked and was simple to navigate. The front desk staff was very pleasant to deal with. Oh, the on-site laundry was also very convenient. Highly recommend for those who dont need silly luxury items (aka a flat screen TV) to feel at home. Full sized fridge. Dishes provided.
