Service was abysmal ordered my food 15 minutes later my order was given to number 6 me being number 5 until the server noticed her mistake and what comes first 5 or 6 you know who you are with nose piercing and no mask more interested in gossiping in the back a real let down to the owners wont be coming back in a hurry. Disappointing.

The fish and battered chips are delicious and The Island House is my favourite fish and conviniently located on the Stafford Road and has ample parking.Tip: 10% off on a Thursday

I loved this fish and chip shop before I knew I was Coeliac and now I live it even more as they do gluten free on Tuesday Wednesday and Fridays 4pm-9pm and I think it’s even better than the regular fish! They even know not to put vinegar on them. Will always go back here. Must try!!

The food from here is nice. But I have to give it one star for the fact that they consistently get take away orders wrong. Multiple times I have ordered via deliveroo and multiple times there have been items missing. Even small orders have been delivered with items missing. Very poor !! On too many occasions our family meals have been ruined with someone left without food. I keep thinking they would learn their lesson, but unfortunately I dont think its going to happen any time soon.

So started a new job in Wolverhampton and a few people suggested this place as thee place to go for chips. They did not lie, these chips are some of the best I have ever had. They are very lightly battered so give the great crunch of regular battered chips but they dont get you too full or give you the feeling your just chewing on grease. They are a bit pricy compared to most chip shops but the quality deserves the price you pay. well worth the price and definitely going back again.

Over charged me when questioned the staff that the prices are different to the board just wasnt bothered no refund offered very disappointed.

The food is amazing but my god how long does it take to serve!! I would have scored 5 if only the speed of service was greater. Shame as food is great but the wait time feels endless!

Was told to wait outside while my order was being dealt with as I didnt have a mask on. Nobody bothered telling me when my food was ready they purposely just left it on top of counter to get cold instead of bringing it out to me. Poor service

Irish curry sauce is a must from here. Chips can be a little greasy, but food is generally good.

I ordered a small fish and chips but the portion size was incredibly generous with a big tub of gravy. And it all tasted amazing. This is my new go-to for fish and chips!

Terrible place waited 15 for 2 basic meals, chips were Terrible. The Asian woman on the till gave me the wrong change. Food came to £15.15, I gave her £20.15 to get a five pound note change. Instead she gave me £1.80 back. Watch your change.

The best chippy around. Cod is always perfectly cooked, batter is thin and crispy (not thick and greasy like most chippys) the irish curry sauce is my hubbys favourite.

I dont know whats happened but chips have no batter on them and while fish tasted ok not sure what the batter type is ment to be just came out of hospital really fancied a treat very disappointed

Had a takeaway. Was delicious, cant fault and cant wait to eat here again

Lovely food clean and owner is a great guy

Easily one of the best Fish N Chips in the UK. Everything is cooked fresh and their Irish Curry Sauce is on another level.

We ordered a doner kebab from here and the meat was inedible. It was so hard and leathery that you could actually snap it! However the staff were apologetic and gave a full refund.

Rude Uber drivers that think its ok to use other peoples drives to park on whilst delivering food for other people! I appreciate this isnt your driver and didnt work for you but was a representative of your shop and being so should keep a record of who delivers for your company!!

Top class fish cooked to order, lovely chips and fantastic chicken kabab. A great place to eat.
