My wife had never been scuba diving, and I wanted to make sure that she had the best instructors and experience. Zain and the other instructors were incredible! My wife was very nervous and uneasy before we started, but with Zains guidance and instructions, my wife is now wanting to go scuba diving all the time! If you want to learn from the best and have a great experience, this is the place to do it!

MJ, chris, Abdy and team were great! We had three new divers and he was masterful and getting everyone under control and confident to view the beautiful Reese and it’s creatures. And the office staff was super patient with us as well. Highly highly recommend again.

Scuba School and Family Dive Center was professional and friendly from the moment we inquired online about our excursion through to walking off the pier at the end of the day. My two teen sons had not been diving before and they went through the Resort Diver training and my husband and I did the Refresher course, then we all went on two dives and a snorkel trip. The dive masters are very professional, knowledgeable, patient and friendly. We had Zain and MJ and they were super. We all felt very safe, had a great time and highly recommend this dive school.

I would certainly reccomend this dive shop to my friends and family. The guides were all very knowledgeable and have great communication skills. My instructor Zaine, was a particularly great instructor to have around and he was a lot of fun to learn from. This dive shop prioritizes the safety of its customers and the health of the ocean. Most other dive and scuba tour companies in the area will bait the sharks for the customers enjoyment, but this is a harmful practice to the local wildlife. This is one of the few dive shops that does not bait for sharks and I liked it better that way anyways. It was so much cooler to see sharks swimming naturally instead of being fed off the boat. I must not forget to mention the girls working at the front desk and how helpful and professional they were as well. Scuba school Belize gets a 10/10 in my books!

5 of the 6 members of our family got their open water certification at Scuba School while on vacation. Zain was a wonderful and patient instructor and had a strong assist from a delightful young lady named Gillian who is there training over the summer. Captain Rob was awesome (as is the whole crew and front office staff) and we even had a chance to grab a few dives with Esrom. Getting certified and subsequently diving with this fun crew was the highlight of our vacation.The training was very thorough and Zain took his time with each person to make sure all skills were nailed down. My 19 yr old daughter has had some issues equalizing her ear pressure in past resort dives and then had a fair amount of pain during descent on our flight into Belize city. So naturally I was concerned the certification wouldnt happen because of that. Zain and Gillian took the time to personally escort her down to depth at a pace that allowed her to equalize and descend without pain. On one 60 ft dive, it must have taken almost 15 min, but they did it with a smile and made it possible for her to get certified with the rest of us. I cant express my gratitude enough for that. She would have been very disappointed had it limited her ability to get her certification.We had a couple of ladies in our group that are prone to sea sickness. My GF being the most affected. She was unable to dive on the outside the reef dives and spent much of the time leaned over the edge of the boat getting sick. Captain Rob stayed with her and comforted her with calming words while pouring cool water over her head as she leaned over the boat getting sick. He was such a nice guy!Overall, the diving was amazing, the instruction was top notch, but in the end, it was the fact that they made us feel like a part of their family while we were with them that made the experience so special. I cant recommend them highly enough for anyone who wants to dive in San Pedro.

I can just agree with all 5 star reviews. I am not a good swimmer and I dont feel comfortable in the water but these guys made my fear to go away. They work professionally and I felt safe. We just had 4 days of awesome diving with Scuba School! These guys are thorough, and take great care of you, but still know how to have a great time! They give the best pre-dive talk we have ever had! (70+ dives) We saw amazing things, and they were all patient and answered all my questions about everything I saw...I learned so much and we had a fantastic time! All the guys are fabulous! I usually have a hard time switching from one dive master to another, because I get attached. It was no a problem here. They were are great!

I did my advance open water certification with Scuba School and they were amazing. Good equipment and boats, great instructors and guides and helpful office staf . They are a great dive center and I cant recommend them enough.

Incredible. We did 6 dives here (1 night dive - highly recommend, Hol Chan/Shark Ray Alley and 4 regular day dives). Everyone working there is so friendly, eager to help you out and safety focused.Don’t be fooled by the small waterfront stand; this is a legitimate and incredible operation!I’d feel confident sending anyone here to get certified! They inspire trust!We saw nurse sharks, reef sharks, lobster, squid, marlins, snapper, hog fish and trumpet fish (along with plenty of other cool creatures).You will be in good hands!Thank you James, Zane, Advi, Yemen and MJ! A great dive shop. This is my second time being certified here--I came back after being fortunate to have had Junior and Yemin teach me in early 2018. I had another great experience, thanks to Zain, Yemin, and Josh. My partner got certified as well. Loved hanging out with Alexa and Carmen at the desk (they were very sweet with our baby), as well as the other divers and crew--Abdy, Carlitos, MJ, Chris. Thanks for another great experience :)

I would never dive with another company on the island! They absolutely put safety first at all times. Every one of the dive masters and staff are fun and full of knowledge! We worked closely with Yemin, Esrom, MJ, and Josh. Communication with the ladies in the office was always swift and full of great information. We especially appreciate that they do not bait the sharks and fish, making for a more natural experience and not interfering with their normal hunting habits. These guys are all top notch and we would highly recommend them!

I cant emphasize enough how great this place is. My girlfriend and I visited San Pedro recently and looked this place up on Trip Advisor. They were very accommodating of our different skill levels and provided a memorable experience for both of us. Communication was very thorough in the days and weeks leading up to the trip. They picked us up from our resort and dropped us off afterwards so we didnt have to worry about transportation. The guides we absolutely fantastic. MJ, Esrom, and Zain were so much fun to dive with. I really enjoyed not diving with a huge group and having to constantly wait on others. We were able to move at our own pace and stay down as long as my air would last. The smaller group size was definitely a huge selling point for me. I am confident in saying that this is the most professional dive operator Ive ever gone out with. Really amazing experience all around. Thank you to everyone involved for providing us such as fun day.

Had a great time! We were two people, of which one was certified and the other was not. They came up with a personal solution so that we both could get the best possible experience. Erick and Zayne(?) were both really great instructors and answered our questions and concerns thorough. Would recommend and definetely do it again!

These ppl are rude/ condescending/dont answer questions. They disconnected me when I tried to inquire about their trips to the BH because I alluded to the fact that they dont seem to take safety into account. After this interaction they repeatedly provided horrible customer service.This dive center is just a fatality waiting to happen.They told me they would not take me diving after I called them out on their attitude. I would never dive with them.

I got my PADI open water certification here and it was excellent! My instructor Ruben was very comforting and knowledgeable. Hes a highly skilled diver and an even better instructor. The entire team was awesome and i can highly recommend SSB!

This is the most fun Ive had learning anything.I got my PADI open water certification here in March 2018.Everyone at this dive center is astoundingly good natured and good humored while also being thorough and serious about their craft (diving instruction).Yemin, one of the 3 brothers who run the school, was our diving instructor. He repeated every instruction more than once and always asked each person individually if they had any questions. He always gave ample positive feedback after completing an unterwater test and also gave constructive feedback anytime we were doing something wrong.The cost for the course was appropriate given all the support you get behind the scenes. There were as many as 10 people supporting a group of 5 of us making sure everything went smoothly. I always felt like I knew exactly what to do and where to be.I would whole heartedly recommend this school to my friends and anyone reading this review.For anyone worried about diving for the first time this is absoutly the best place you can go.
