All my years at SJSU and I cant believe Im just finding this hidden gem now.The shrimp wontons and egg noodles are absolutely amazing! Both are made in house which is awesome. A friend told me that you can actually buy their noodles by the pound. I might consider buying the egg noodles in bulk since these are real quality noodles!I always get the #10 here. But Im definitely coming back to try the #13 and the flour cakes! :)Price point: $

The words to describe the food served here is comforting and filling. You can never go wrong ordering a hot bowl of wonton egg noodles.

Mi Sui Cao

Relatively cheap place to get your noodles fix. I usually order #22, soup on the side. The soup has beef (or pork?) bones and meat in it.

As a long time customer, i dare say 25 years+...China Chen has cemented itself as one of my top time favorite places to eat at. The signature dishes that I get every single time are the Mì Sủi Cảo & Bánh Bột Chiên Trứng. The noodles here separate themselves from other typical noodle bars because of texture. I love firm noodles and to my delight they serve it here consistently every time. The broth is rich and flavorful which adds a huge compliment to the meal itself...perfect for cold days or maybe a hangover. The fried egg pancake is pure orgasmic. When it comes out of the kitchen the item is piping hot, smells absolutely robust and my god the density of food is amazing. Even for a big boy as myself, these 2 items will have me feeling like Im on Cloud 9. I highly recommend this place so go give it a shot! What do you have to lose besides missing out on some of the realest, most authentic asian food in the South Bay?

This is okay place to have quick bite

You get 2 things here. Shrimp Wonton noodle soup which has the options of thick or thin noodles, dry or wet (which means soup in with the noodles or soup on the side, better when its hot days). And the Bo Chien, which is a rice flour cake that has been fried with scrambled eggs. If you ignore the charm of the whole in the wall, then this place is yum...oh and cash only.

I actually enjoyed their food and customer service, awesome area to my residence. The employees are always very kind. Highly recommended.

Best noodle soup in town! I got the highly regarded Shrimp Wonton Egg Noodle soup (you can also get it with ho fun noodles too if you prefer) and it was served with generous portions of everything in it. The soup broth tasted much cleaner than most others Ive had before at similar restaurants, so I left the restaurant feeling refreshed and ready to start the day. China Chen - the perfect place to cure your hangover and warm your soul.

Still the best noodles in town. I am not a fan of Chinese food, but these noodles have me coming back. The egg noodles have a special crisp that other restaurants that even San Fransiscos China Town cannot replicate, and the white rice noodles are thick and not soggy. Other places that claim to serve hu tieu give thin white noodles.The broth is also simple, and I actually enjoy the lack of veggies in their soups. There are few lettuce pieces and plenty of pork fat blocks in the soup.I have been to China Chen for a decade, and it is fun to see how the younger generation has taken over the eatery by introducing this places first appearances of branding. The young waiters now don black tee-shirts with a red logo now.The only thing that I dislike about this place is their fried chicken--they consistently use old oil, and even when they do use new oil, it is very bland. At A&K Noodles (now closed), their fried chicken had a hint of sweetness.

TLDR: Good eat, but don’t order during week of holidays.Generally an amazing place to get a variety of noodle dishes but near holidays they tend to close early and therefore, their dishes’ quality suffers greatly: it was an order of $45 and they suffocated the to go boxes with noodles and only gave a little bit of meat (so much less than my usual when I actually to go eat there in person) and the broth was lackluster, only slightly more flavorful than water.

My favorite is half chicken deep fry noodle. This restaurant is a family own and in the business for over 15 years.
