Chicken Tikka masala. So delicious.Great atmosphere and service!!

We had the opportunity to order take out from Saffron Valley for Tikka Tuesday and it was so delicious! We got the chicken tikka masala and the sauce was amazing. It had the perfect amount of heat and there were generous amounts of chicken. I ordered on the website, which was very simple to use and easy to customize what you want to purchase. When we arrived, we were able to quickly go to the counter where there were several other orders and picked up the food quickly. I would go back again and love to try other food, including the Chicken Tikka Masala again, which was on point.

We went to this restaurant by viewing google reviews, we were fully dissatisfied with the food. We ordered cilantro chicken curry, fish curry, shrimp curry with coconut korma and goat curry. None of them is good, no salt , half cooked meat and not enough spices. Service is not good enough, barely responding for customers…, especially cilantro chicken worst

We went here for our anniversary. Everything we ordered was delicious!

The reason for my 3 star is as follows:The Biryani was oily and did not have the aroma taste and flavor.The Fried rice too missed the taste.The carry out orders needs to be double checked for accuracy.The curries that was ordered tasted good but the naan was just ok.

Favorite Indian restaurant hands down. I still make a point of stopping to eat when I travel through Salt Lake City. The sweet and nutty naan is a family favorite.

Saffron Valley Colonial is our FAVORITE southern Indian restaurant ever! (They do serve some northern Indian dishes as well) Saffron Valley serves a generous daily buffet with the weekend buffet (open both Saturday & SUNDAY) offering even MORE variety and endless cups of hot delicious chai....its truly a feast! Their food is pure comfort food and is prepared with a most excellent blend of spices and heat. I follow a plant-based diet and I always have MORE than enough to fill my plate. Meat dishes are available and offered through the buffet as well. There seems to be a rather nice balance so both veg and non-veg folks walk away feeling very full and satisfied. They offer a beautiful healthy salad chock-full of fresh veggies...also, soups, Indian breads, desserts, basmati & brown rice, fresh juice, etc. The service is always warm, friendly and more than accommodating...Maneesh always takes wonderful care of us. Saffron Valley is family-owned and they are incredibly dedicated to serving real authentic Indian cuisine to the SLC area. The food, service, and atmosphere are wonderful! I especially love the saag paneer

The food was full of flavor and there were many options to choose from. The servers were kind and helpful. I ordered the butter chicken and the garlic naan bread. The ambiance was very unique.

This is a must try if you like Indian food or want to try a new cuisine.Southern India cuisine is one of my favorites and Saffron Valley truly brings those flavors on their dishes.To start order Naan bread and you’ll find maybe the best in Salt Lake City.The Coconut Korma and Vindaloo and perfect as well as their Tikka Masala.Chutneys are spot on with their flavors as well as the Paradams and the veggie Samosas and Pakoras.Portions are quiet big compare to other Indian restaurants as well as their Basmati white rice.I prefer this location , due to its ambiance and closer to downtown , to the 2100 S or the newest one in South Jordan but in all of them you’re going to find the same quality dishes.Service is always great and never had a problem.Absolutely recommended.

Every experience I have had at the Saffron Valley in the Avenues has been nothing but great ! I love the food, a beautiful atmosphere, as well as great people who operate the place . All of my experience here have been dine in except for tonight . We decided to stay in and order off Door Dash . Door dash utterly failed by bringing my food an hour and forty minutes late . That part I was not so happy about. It was not the restaurants fault though . Saffron valley remembered me as a regular and compensated the wait for my favorite goodies like the Mango Lassi and these dough balls soaked in syrup! They also called to reassure I was satisfied with my order because they knew I got it soooo late. Even though I missed the phone call the reassurance made it clear this is a class A business and they really care about their customers. I wanted to take the time and write a review because I think so highly of this place

This place is sooooo good! The taste of their curries are so different than the others I’ve had. The taste is a lot fresher and sharp, which I love because I walk out of the restaurant not feeling bloated but healthy. I would definetly recommend this place️

Everything here is bomb as heck. However when they asked how spicy, 1,2,3 or fire? and I said fire, what they gave us was probably not their fire. We had tried their 2 and 3 before and we still wanted more, but I guess on the phone I probably sounded like a whimp or something because what they gave us wasnt even as spicy as taco bell mild sauce. Still great though! Will keep ordering from here, hopefully one day I will really get the fire sauce!

I am allergic to almost everything and especially ingredients in most Indian food. (Pepper.. Onions.. Etc) The waiter found me a delicious noodle dish with none of the allergens in it and made sure it was awesome. Mahesh was our waiter and we will absolutely be back because of our experience and our service!

First time here in Salt Lake City and at this restaurant—wonderful first taste of Utah! Authentic restaurant with great atmosphere and wonderful, attentive service. The food was fantastic and full of flavor. Next time I’m in town will definitely be eating here again!

Amazing. During these times with closures and restaurants struggling to stay open, Saffron Valley still offers top notch service and even more important outstanding dishes that are served in a clean safe environment. Could not recommend more!Side note: spicy means SPICEY here so order accordingly

Went for buffet, did not enjoy much. Much of food served was cold.

One of the best meals that I have ever had! Our waiter had great suggestions and brought our table sauce that blew our minds! If you’re interested in participating in the wonderful culinary journey that my lovely girlfriend and I had tonight, Safron Valley in the Avenues will complete that request!

The service here is amazing! The food is to die for and they really do treat you like family here. I would definitely recommend to any one seeking an authentic Indian curry.

The service is incredible. Recent renovations. Great tasting samosa appetizers and curry entree with rice, also our lassi’s were very refreshing. We didn’t have room for desert but I bet it is delicious. -October 2020

My mother and I tried Saffron Valley for the first time tonight. The service was wonderful and the food was just as good. The restaurant was quiet and there were lots of great vegetarian options. If anyone is looking for good Indian food in SLC I highly recommend that you try Saffron Valley.

SLC location was the bomb. Amazing food. My first time eating Indian food. Wow the rice pudding was amazing. The service was also amazing and our server Akhil knew exactly what we should try. If you are wanting to try different culture food you should try the indian food here.

Ive tried a lot of Indian restaurants, especially in this city, so I wasnt expecting to be impressed. But this place was an amazing surprise. Highly recommend the appetizer sampler and anything with Tikka Masala.

Mahesh was so helpful and told us the story behind the dishes we ordered. Also VERY reasonably priced for the quality of the food. We WILL be back, we’re telling everyone about this place!
