Sadly I did not see that it was a buffet only. Had saw the good reviews and was looking forward to it.I would avoid this place until they start normal service. The buffet was unappetizing and very mediocre food.I should have left but thought I would give it a try. Unfortunately we are here for a.week so wont get to try the normal food.

Christmas lunch was perfectly prepared. Servers were beyond fantastic. Perfect day when we werent able to be with our Kansas family due to COVID concerns.

After getting my shrimp & fried green beans, I had asked for some sauce for both. She said she had to make it, but she kept running around doing other stuff so she didnt have to deal with it. Another lady came past & asked if everything was ok? Said Im waiting on some sauce, she went to the back and brought it right out, by now everything is cold, not just cool but cold.Dont believe we will be back. Can get bad service anywhere.

So we decided to stop by for lunch since it was my Husbands Birthday wknd. My family has been raving over this place for years, we just werent lucky enough to ever be involved in their social outings. I was pleased with their policy about wearing masks, especially during this time of Covid. But thats where it stopped. I wanted to treat my Husband to lunch for an early Birthday moment. He ordered the Shrimp and Broccoli with Fries, and I had ordered a Ruben Sandwich. I was so upset with my order, and even mentioned it to the waiter. My sandwich was soggy. Thats not a Ruben. So I flipped it over and it didnt help. Unfortunately I had to eat something because when we went in my blood sugar, Im a type 1 Diabetic, had dropped to the 50s. So I was very much looking forward to the Ruben Sandwich. The fries were cold. The waiter looked at us several times and didnt come over to us until he knew that we were done. My Husbands cup was empty 1/2 way through the meal. We noticed other diners that didnt eat something as simple as a Burger. I was very disappointed!! My Husband said not to leave him a tip, and thats not like him, but I figured that I should, so I did. But it was against my better judgment that I did so. And I mentioned about the Sandwich to our waiter and he didnt even apologize for it, just said that it was up in the window, yes I understand that it sat there for TOO LONG!!! We wont be back. Hopefully it was just a fluke day, but we were very disappointed with the service and food. It doesnt change our coming up to the Mtn, we just wont be stopping by to eat. I did get a little survey to fill out, and its just not big enough for the complaint. Sorry yall I hope it gets better!!!

The dining with the view is amazing experience in life.friendly staff members,convenient atmosphere..dont have a big menu. But whatever they have that delicious.and the view from the restaurant is priceless. Try to stay over there instead of visit and come back .will go again..

Did not have enough staff on hand. This is the crown jewel of Arkansas tourist stops. Last year was the same as yesterday. Understaffed big time. Never ever should this happen. The buffet was low on food with most being dried out. Could go on but not gonna because I love this place and this State. The folks working there are awesome btw. Just understaffed.

Food is decent, but I really appreciated the server checking with the cook on the oils used and came back to warm me that the spray for the grill even contained soy, so he made it with olive oil. They had a few gluten free options that are naturally gf, but no gf bread options. Beautiful view made up for average food.

Ordered the chorizo “cheese dip” and stuffed mushrooms for a quick bite. It was all pretty terrible, to be honest. I mean, it’s Arkansas. Arkansas isn’t really good at anything...The food was not really hot and didn’t seem fresh. In fact, the “cheese dip” had cold spots in it so I could tell it had been microwaved...Two stars because the building is beautiful and I enjoyed the view.

My burger was vurned the chicken was dry as can be. But the service was very impressive.

Safety in mind and great service. Facemasks in use and even clean pens to sign the bill.

It was ok. Had the buffet and it could have been a lot better. People were really nice.

A beautiful view is the only good thing about this restaurant. It’s nasty, and the chairs are suppose to be burgundy, but most are black due to filth. My family and our friends was disappointed to say the least. Our food wasn’t good at all. I hope changes are made bc people deserve better!

Very nice setting with view over the valley, nice service, god awful food and expensive to boot. I have been there 3 times, tried 3 different items on the menu with the same result. I regularly take hiking groups to the park, but now head out to town to eat. Avoid at all cost. It is a shame that management let this happen to what could be a great gateway weekend vacation together with the beautiful lodge and park.

Great sandwiches and fries. Usually, the view is gorgeous; but, today was clouds.

Waited over an hour for a salad and a bowl of soup, and refills on water. Woefully understaffed with frozen/microwaved food across the board (buffet). Somehow additionally messed up the check after another 30 minute wait by adding an additional person and a 7 inch pizza no one ordered. Bring your own food if staying at the lodge. 0/5 if I could.

Food was great, there was a manager named Terri who really made us feel welcome and taken care of.

The views are the best thing about the restaurant. The servers were constantly short-handed but still managed to provide spectacular service. The food isnt going to win any Michelin stars but is good nonetheless.

The Lodge that houses the Skycrest is a site to see before you ever step inside and once you get inside it is just as nice. When you make it back to the Skycrest, the views from the dining room have a WOW factor all of their own.Once we were seated right by a window and our server took our drink order, tha wait for said drinks was the only let down here, as she took entirely too long to bring them to the table, especially since they were not busy. Now after we got our drinks and placed our order, well the rest was a good experience. My SIL ordered a burger that she said was great, my better 1/2 got their version if a French Dip and really enjoyed it, while I got the spicy prime rib sandwich which came with a spicy jalapeno tomato broth that could have been served as a soup all by itself. Those drinks I mentioned earlier, were their version of a premium margarita which was every bit as good as any other premium margarita I have had and better than most, but the Coconut Stout was by and far the very best that I have had because you could actually taste the coconut without it overpowering the beer itself. One note about the bar, this restaurant is in a dry county, so you have to join a club there before being able to order anything alcoholic, but the club is free to join.On this trip we had just planned on visiting Mount Magazine for the view because we could not get a cabin or even a room in the lodge with just a weeks notice, but we will be planning on a stay in one the cabins and more than one meal at the Skycrest on our next venture into the Ozarks!

Great views. Hamburger was a little over cooked for me, but tasty.

Good food iif it had more variety would be even better but good place for buffet
