Without a doubt, one of my favorite places to eat japanese food. not only is the food amazingly fresh and well prepared, the place is completely normal and unpretentious. great neighborhood joint feel.
美味しいご飯と、素敵な接客です!ニューヨークで日本食が恋しくなったときに是非行ってみてください!
Food was great except the beef tongue which is very chewy.
Got take-out since its a quick trip on E 45th during this time of COVID-19. Had the two roll combo (lobster salad + tuna avocado w/ 7 spice) and the buta yakuniku pork lunch. Staff was super friendly when it came to the pickup and were wearing masks... New standards for restaurants I guess.Had some initial apprehension about the tuna (to be fair, wasnt even sure about fresh fish deliveries during this time) but both rolls were super tasty. Id imagine dining in would be even more pleasant in terms of presentation etc.The buta yakuniku was also delicious. Light, with a super crisp texture on the broccoli that gives a great mouth feel. Their miso soup that accompanies it has a deeper bonito/fish taste than most restaurants in the same price range. Really enjoyed it!!!Definitely looking forward to trying this place in person if we ever get through this...
All Food is very good. You must try Kaisen Futomaki.
Delicious sushi! I am accustomed to having multiple green tea refills however, at Japanese resteraunts.Very reasonable prices, healthy foods, clean resteraunt. Very very pushy staff however. I was embarassed and so was my friend.
I have been eating at this place for years but the quality has greatly diminished since September 2019 for some reason, the restaurant is constantly dirty, I had a peak at the kitchen floor and environment and it was looking really bad, the preparation area where they had been cutting ingredients had bunch of fish piled up not refrigerated with some shrimp that was dropped on the floor and picked up by one of the employee. I went with a colleague, he and I had a bad case of food poisoning that same night, I have also notice at Tsushima had a smell similar to mildew, and another smell similar to a dead rodent smell that was very strong that day. I then checked the record of this restaurant on the NYC Dept of Health and it showed that this place may not have been inspected since November 19th, 2015!!! I will never return as the conditions in my opinion are irreversible.
Great food and ambiance and they were very accommodating for my toddler!
Amazing sushi with great staff
Our go-to neighborhood sushi spot. The quality is top notch.
The place was nice, food was just ok
Sake bar is good with a good variety of food.
Very good Sashimi and Sushi. The fresh Salmon that night was out of this world! Cooked items were kinda blah. Service excellent, private rooms are excellent.
The omakase is genuine. Worth every penny.
Good sushi and good happy hour at the bar on the left
