Always a HEARTY meal... and it comes affordably. the place looks like a noodle house from the 60s... just dont know how a 60s noodle house looks like. but when in sta. cruz binondo, its a definite stopover for me. and they also sell raw fresh noodles for when you want to be flipping stir fried noodles in your kitchen

The original Ling Nam in Binondo is a must try if you love noodles especially “Mami”. The beef and wanton or aka “Halo” is my suggestion if you are a first timer.

Still the best beef wonton noodles in town. Bigger than usual siomai with soy sauce, calamansi & garlic chili is also a winner. Had the halo-halo congee for early breakfast which provides enough energy for a full day of Christmas shopping. It has different types of meat in it--chicken, liver, etc. Best with lots of calamansi and black pepper. Fish sauce optional.Mom used to dine here when she was still single. She also took us to both the Glorietta Quad and the Greenhills branches. As the pic shows, they still use the same type of drinking glasses and condiments containers they had in the 70s.

I love this chinese restaurant since I was a child. The beef motong (beef mami) is superb! Never tasted anything like it! The restaurant is pretty old, almost the same since I was a child. But it gives a classic chinese cuisine, and I just love it!

Good noodles, good service, inexpensive food. Not classy but clean. Siopao is excellent choice whether asado or bola-bola. Personally, I love their giant siomai that you dip into calamansi-soy sauce mixture :)

Review №44

This is how wanton beef noodles should taste like . Not the chicken powder stock we get from new Chinese Teahouses that has sprouted everywhere, soup base is really hours boiled soup bones. Their special big siopao ( big meat bun) is good, it has ground meat , half boiled egg, Chinese sausage, shiitake mushroom as its filling ). They also sell fresh uncooked wantons, so anytime you can plunk it into your instant ramen to make it taste even better !
