One of the to go places if you are in the heart of Binondo, the place is for funding the volunteer fire fighters.Cafe Mezzanine is located at the 2nd floor, most pictures posted is Chuan Kee That is located at the 1st floor. The 2 are not the same restaurant. So please be mindful of what you are going to post.

This place gets too busy during lunch and dinner times crowded by families and group of friends. There was a 20-minute wait when we went. It’s crowded and cramped but you can see that people order a lot of items, most of it are xiao long baos and vegetables. We ordered:Xiao Long Bao-sadly it was overcooked so the wrapper was torn and the soup already spilled. Also soggy.Shrimp Dumplings-the shrimp filling was tender and the wrapper was pretty—but still soggy.Buchi-one of our favorites and we even ordered a second round. This greasy treat is served hot and has a creamy mongo filling that is weirdly addicting.Lava Pao-A salted egg lava siopao. Interesting twist in an otherwise always savory merienda item.We think most of the items served are coming from the frozen section of Eng Bee Tin mall. Also, a percentage of its earnings go to the volunteer firemen.

Service is too slow. The place is quite small. I love the setup and design of the resto. For the food, i dont find that good maybe because i already have a preference and i lost my appetite.I only ate their lava buchi which i recommend you to try it. Its too chewy and lava-ish. It sticks but its delicious.

Nothing special. Overrated, overpriced. Some servers can be rude during lunchtime. I watch them as they prepare our table. They served drinks holding glasses by the rim, spoon by the bowl and not on the handle. Very unsanitary, I lost appetite. Look at this sad-looking Tang Yuan. Never again.

Ongpin is one of the famous place in Manila due to China Town, Binondo Church and of course the Divisoria.. On my way to China Town we came accross a restaurant near Binondo Church and Shoppers Mart that offers reaaaaallll good food, The Mezzanine. I was surprized with the food , typical Filipino and Chinese fusion. I tried Lechon Kawali, Chopsuy, Chiampung and I think one of the famous at Din Thai Fung no other than Xiao Long Bao. The good thing about it is the price it is so affordable... Yummy... so when in Ongpin do not miss this place.. I love the food, the ambience, the staff and of course the service and the price..

One of the best places to dine in China Town Binondo given their delicious chinese cuisine. Located on the second floor of the biggest Eng Bee Tin branch in Ongpin. The menu is largely consists of family platter/for sharing which is good if you plan to go on tour as a group. Much better though if they have another payment option aside from cash (debit/credit card).

Not welcoming. Had a bad experience just yesterday. My family and I wanted to dine yesterday afternoon. Since we were going to Divi that time, we were wearing ragged clothes. Although we were trying to approach the staffs for our order, no one had attended. Even their roaming manager (or owner perhaps) . Not recommended

Because we have a full stomach with our food trip in binondo..all we wanted was a good coffee, so we end up here at cafe mezzanine.courteous staff! we ordered 3 same coffee..and staff willingly suggest to choose the refill option so we can save more since were ordering same blend...i never thought of that as i assumed its not applicable for more than 1 person but it did!thats what u call good service.

[May 2017] Good food with a great environment. met up with friends and had a good meal together with good conversation. A nice view with your meal as well - you can see up and down the street from this 2nd story restaurant. Bonus to having good food here is that all revenue is donated to Binondo Paco Fire Search and Rescue Brigade.

The Gokong Soup recommended by CNN is excellent. It is super tasty and worth every penny. However, the most surprised dish to me is the Irchon Kawali. The pork skin is super crispy and the meat is soft. The whole piece will melt in your month. Its a must try local food for sure.
