Its one of the great place to stay in malate, the hotel is not big but I like all their staff becuse they are all good and helpful. One problem is they dont have private parking and thats the no no for me. Kumbaga Park at your own risks, madalas mo babantayan kasi hindi ka naman pamilyar sa Lugar. Masarap din yung steak nila dito. And yung ibang food na sinerve nila.

Dont waste your time with this badly done theme bar. Theres nothing Australian about this place. Nothing at all No Australian beer and the food was not only unAustralian but the most appalling, unappealing almost inedible dish I ate in the Philippines. Well I only ate part of it, hoping it would get better. Do yourself a favour and give this place a miss.

The Australian Breakfast is really good, but the Fish and Chips are nothing to write home about;they need improvement. Overall its a good, clean place to eat when visiting the American Embassy.

As of 21 February 2020, it appears that The Swagman is permanently closed! The property no longer exists, at least at its former location on 411 A. Flores Street, Ermita, and the phone number is disconnected, and their email address is unattended.

The place has be done up since I last visited, looks fantastic. However the service has dropped a lot... Stood at reception and was totally ignored for 2 minutes and I was the only one there... Another member of staff told one of them to serve me, and the girl has a terrible attitude the whole time.... Went to another hotel in the end

Ive stayed here twice and the very first thing that attracted me to book in this hotel is their free airport transfer. It was a very important factor for me talking about safety and convenience.

Include free pickup at the airport and they only take you back to the airport when you check out for free if you ask. It is all ways my preference to stay there when I first arrived in the Philippines!

Apparently not politically connected enough to get waited on when theyre busy. No loss, the only good things they have in the menu are stuff they will tell you they are out of.

Nothing Aussie here .NO AUSSIE FLAG I suspect Chinese owed.Staff polite n professional.Female singer great voice.Fair prices on drinks.Very cold beer .Lovely timber interior but definitely not as the Name implies ..should stick to English style pub..hence 1 star off for that and another star off for no Australian Flag as well it was Remberance week when I there and not 1 Poppy seen .

Im just commenting on the breakfast. It is 275php there or 309php through red planet. Quite satisfying and high quality. Good presentation but actually amall. Workers helpful but not as cheery as other places. I will return

The poor old Swagman is slowly but surely grinding down the hill. The latest failing is the revamping of what was a good traditional Australian menu. Now most of the old favourites (ie camp fire rissoles) have gone to be replaced by????? I had fish and chips on Friday evening and the fish was not cooked properly and was cold. The batter was soft and mushy. When one orders Fish and Chips, one usually expects French Fies type chips. What I received were crisps which had been fried and were greasy, soft and mushy. My partner ordered a green salad and the lettuce and vegetables were warm while the tomato was from the fridge. The dressings were warm which indicates that they are not refrigerated.The room, as I commented in my previous visit, was tired and we found cockroaches in the cupboards. The bath towels are old, worn and permanently stained. They are grey rather than white. The tap in the hand basin dripped all night and was a bit of an irritant.In the past few years WIFI has been introduced to each room, but the quality is so poor it would be better to have not done that. I could not even download email. Either fix it and do the job properly, or get rid of it.It is time for Oriental Hotels to step up to the plate and accept that their hotel is only one star now. Given the cost if a standard room is now Php 2400 this is no longer a viable option for me.

Crappy roomservice... Ordered food In the room its not complete and its cold... When you call to get your order complete they dont come. Better to eat out. Ordered coffee 218 pesos and not even fresh creamer. Toilet broken and incomplete you have to ask for additional stuff that should be there already.

Altes Hotel in guter Lage fürs Nachtleben in ManilaDas Hotel ist schon sehr abgewohnt und ist nicht für längere Aufenthalte zu empfehlen, da wir aber nur eine kurze Nacht hier blieben war es ok da die Preis-Leistung stimmte, der early bird Buchungsbonus hat den Preis zusätzlich noch gesenkt. Wenn man mit dem Swagman Bus weiterfährt hat man hier zudem die beste Ausgangslage. Das Bad im Zimmer ist ein Witz so klein ist es, die Toilette ist nicht mal für Kinder gross genug. In der Badewanne die als Dusche gilt fliesst das Wasser so langsam ab dass die Wanne nach dem duschen fast komplett gefüllt ist. Das Bett ging gerade aber man konnte riechen dass im Zimmer geraucht wurde obwohl es ein nichtraucher Zimmer sein sollte. Das Restaurant im Hotel serviert einigermassen gute Qualität aber preislich ist es viel zu teuer. Abends kommt man aber vom Hotel sofort zu vielen Lokalen und Pubs wo das Nachleben richtig abgeht.

The room speaks of its price. The bar incharge was so cute and accomodating. The frontdesk officer was very kind and considerate. Its a walking distance to Ermita Shrine, Rizal Park, Manila Baywalk and Robinsons Manila

BUT NO SHOW.THEY HAD ALREADY GONE.AS I WAS NOT LATE ON ARRIVAL. THE ROOMS HAVE GOT WORSE IN WEAR AND TEAR. NO REPAIRS LOCKS NOT WORKING BULBS OUT.DUSTY ROOM. AND GREY LOOKING BEDDING. THE MANAGEMENT I BELIEVE IS FILOPINO/CHINESE. THEY SHOULD GET THEIR ACT TO GETHER AND RUN THE PLACE PROPERLY. THE STAFF ARE NICE.I MUST SAY. I SEE THEY ARE RENOVATING AN NEW LARGER RESTAURANT AREA.
