This restaurant is located at the 2nd floor of Ube tower right in the heart of Chinatown, Manila. All baked goodies are sold at the ground floor, ranging from their famous hopia, tikoy, peanut rolls, moon cake and more. The 2nd floor is for dining. They have coffee, and dimsum, rice toppings and good desserts. Souvenirs is also available beside the restaurant. Nice ambiance with friendly staff.

A friend highly recommended the stir fried radish cake with pork floss. It looked good and appetizing when it was served but the taste was a little bland. If you are an avid fan of radish cake, you’ll look for the oomph of the toasted shallots, the pungent but oh so delicious combined taste of hibi (dried shrimp) and dried mushroom—all the taste that makes a radish cake addictive. Unfortunately the dish did not deliver all these and tasted a bit bland. The spinach with four kinda of egg was ok but serving style could be improved. The hakaw was also ok—but you can easily compare it with the rest of the dimsum places in the area and you’ll realize others might even taste better. The peanut balls and the Great Buddha Congee were for me very good and actually good experience.Their very courteous staff, their ambiance and stylish set (with an opportunity to have photos with the Great Buddha) were redeeming qualities as well.

Food was ok. It was an event so cant gauge the regular serving sizes, service, etc. Very near a Catholic church.

Their egg tart is a must try. I love the fact that its baked and has a flaky crust. Beautiful interiors. Great place to chill with friends.Update:Went there a 2nd time. Was extremely dissatisfied with the service. Ordered one flaky egg tart and I had to follow up after 15 mins just to find out that they completely forget my order. Wala man lang apology for a job poorly done. Tapos yung egg tart ube flavor lang daw. Di man lang ako nainform muna. (The waiter said ube flavor lang daw pero may original nung first kong punta.)The egg tart was still delicious but I would rather eat somewhere else with better service. Sayang punta.

This place is also a museum of Hopia. Very wide variety of flavors and selection of other snacks. The restaurant feel at the second floor serves delicous chinese cuisine. The interior is nice with high ceiling. And theres a big Budha

The place is lovely but the food we tried isnt that great. Matabang and I feel that it needs better dipping sauce. When we asked the stafg what were those food we see on the table beside us, theu have no idea what that is. The milk tea is good though. Not in photo: peanut ball, like mochi with peanut bar inside. It comes with a soup na matabang din.

Above average food but chicken rice and iced jasmine tea were excellent. Brewed coffee was substandard and nothing like the HK version. Overall, not a must-visit but if it’s your first time trying Chinese food, consider this restaurant. The Buddha upstairs and gigantic mooncake downstairs are great photo opportunities. (Bonus: they serve chicken feet!) (October 2018)

Had dinner December 6. Everything was good except for one waiter who failed to accommodate us from the start . His favorite answer was WAIT PO.*Seems like he was catering / favoring to a single table only. I guess I should tip him in advance next time to get proper service...

Located at the 2nd floor of the Eng Bee Tin Building. Our family loves the Hong-kong style dishes they serve here. Big servings. Value for money. Good interior. The also have a souvenir shop where local Filipino products are featured. They have really nice restrooms here but it’s located at the second floor. Not PWD & senior citizen friendly.

Good Latte and Chai. We were still a bit full from our food crawl so we skipped their meals for today. Definitely were coming back to taste their main dishes. Im sure theyre good too. Nice, clean and cozy dinning area with a souvenir area on the 2nd floor. Complete chinese delicacies on the ground floor. Superb rest room.

Nice Chinese food. This is managed by the same owners of Eng Bee Tin - the progenitor of ube hopia. The restaurant features a statue of Buddha where you can take pictures. You can also buy souvenirs from their shop.

Great food. A while ago we ordered the asado ala carte and the beef with pepper. The food was nice. I especially liked the asado. Its so tender and sweet and the texture is soft. And also we have ordered shrimp wanton noodle soup. The wanton was also nice. Another thing is that we ordered milk tea there. I like the pearl milk tea. But for me, I somehow dont like the Hongkong Milk tea.But all in all I liked the place. You can have grocery either before or after you have eaten at the Great Buddha Cafe.
