Not crowded, pero ang tagal maka kuha ng seats. We were 6 then, naka ilang papasok na sila ng customers who were like 2s lang. Mga more than an hour kami nag hintay. Mahirap ang parking. The food.. Ehm.. Yung sabing best seller na Spicy tuna, wala masyadong lasa. We enjoyed the special california maki because of the mango topping. We ordered the sashimi platter, fresh naman, sakto lang din. The katsudon also, walang wow taste. Yung wagyu cubes na on stick, normal lang. Siguro mataas expectations namin sa ganda ng mga reviews. Pero yung experience namin, not so.

Wow sarap

I can recommend this restaurant sarap ng food lalo na yung tuna favorite ko an din siy.Sobrang dami lang po talga yung tao kasi po sobrang sarap ng foods at hindi din siya gaano pricey atsaka yung serving nila is marami din. Tip ko po para hindi kayo pumila punta po kayo ordinary days like weekdays kasi pag weekend sobrang dami punuan talga at pa reserve na din ng maaga.

Before taking a look at the menu, order the wagyu cubes first. These little pieces of heaven is a must and takes a long time to cook. The spicy tuna and spicy salmon is totally worth it and I even get two servings in one sitting. They have the freshest sashimi in Metro Manila, a bit pricey but still every piece is worth the peso youll going to spend. Californa Maki special have large chunks of mangoes and roe as big as tapiocas. If youre craving for Japanese food. You should definitely visit here. Bring a friend or a lover; the servings are big, youll need a lending hand. Additional info:Dont get frustated with the waitresses here, especially during peak hours. The food here is crazy delicious, all those minutes waiting the long line and asking for menu will be gone once youve tasted Spicy Tuna/Ramen

Seems that everyone loves this place.We were greeted by security guy outside who slid the door for us. Place was packed for lunch. Waited for a bit then shown to our seats at the sushi bar. Took a while for us to get the waitress or anybody’s attention. Finally ordered after 10 minutes of waiting, we were then given the house salad and crunchy spicy tuna sashimi as appetisers.We ordered tempura, california maki, tonkatsu, soba, yaki onigiri and ume onigiri. Tonkatsu was crunch and juicy, I highly recommend getting this one. Tempura was forgettable. The california maki was a bit too much for what it was, more like an overkill also I noticed that the tuna was not the freshest. I could tell that it had been refrigerated for quite some time. Soba was okay, you cannot mess that up. My biggest complain was the rice, it was terrible for Japanese restaurant. Sushi, onigiri and our bowl of rice were soft and kind of mushy, big fail for me.Presentation was okay, nothing too grand but proper enough for Japanese restaurant.Given the price, I understand why people keep coming back to this place. I havent been to this place for quite sometime now. Good to be back. I personally love their sashimi. Not your ordinary sashimi. Slice is thick and their salmon taste fresh. Parking is a pain though as this place is jampacked over the weekend. People who help you park nearby charge you Php40.

Food is expensive but worth it. Gets crowded specialty during dinner so make your reservation early. Dont order any yakitori or grilled meat as they are being given very late, so late that youll finish the rest of your meal and it hasnt arrived yet.

The place is pretty spacious, you can either sit in normal table and chairs, in the bar, or in the low table with a sunken floor for your legs.If you are planning to go here I suggest drop by early as a lot of people are eating here during lunch plus they have an exclusive menu for lunch. You also get a free Iced coffee when you bill out (lunch only).Theres alot of food to choose from the menu. Very affordable and one serving is already good for two. Everything we ordered tasted good (special maki, soft shell crab, tempura, sashimi, wagyu cubes, spicy tuna sashimi). However, we did not expect that the maki and crab to have the spicy tuna sashimi as garnish so we kind of had enough of that taste towards the end of the meal. The wagyu was smaller than I expected.

Kikufuji is located in Little Tokyo--a small area where there are a dozen of Japanese restaurants. But Kikufuji is the best among them, offering a ton of authentic Japanese cuisine. I especially love their gyu kushi, spicy tuna, special maki and fresh uni.Youll feel the vibe of Japan with the ambience, staffs uniform and their Japanese regulars.

This place can get crowded especially on fridays but food is good. The spicy tuna is delicious and the serving of california maki is good for two people. I also love how their wasabi tastes right unlike those restaurants who uses paste wasabi. Authentic Japanese cuisine though the attendants are not that welcoming. You have to wait a long time for your bill. Take out box cost 20php and you can have only 1 service drink at a time.

The place is very accessible. It is near the entrance to Little Tokyo, an area of Japanese restaurants in Makati. It has a bar where solo-goers can enjoy while food is prepared in front of you. It also has a few rooms if your group needs privacy.The menu has a wide price range. There is also a variety of sushi available.I ordered their Spicy salmon sashimi and Gyudon (bestseller in their donburi). My companions liked the chirashi bowl, and tendon, as well.We were surprised by the big serving of the spicy salmon sashimi. It was only 380Php. It was creamy, and seasoned just right. The salmon was fresh, and quite chunky to bite. Gyudon was basic. In terms of taste, its seasoned well. The beef slices though were not tender.This place is always packed of people. Be sure to arrive early for lunch, or dinner, else catch the queue. I am not sure yet if we were just unlucky. The night we went here, the service was bad. We had to wait long for our food to be served. We also found some of the servers a bit rude.

Seriously? How come this rest got more than 4 stars?First, sashimi was smelly which meanss not fresh, ordered pork tenderloin but served pork belly skewer, asked fresh wasabi but waitess proudly told they dont serve it since beginning and only serve tube wasabi.WORST JAPANESE RESTAURANT IN MY LIFE. EVEN 1 STAR IS ENOUGH!

Food is outstanding and the serving size is crazy. If im rating for the food alone, Id give it a 5/5.Unfortunately, my experience with their service is terrible. It felt like we were put on a lower priority probably because were not on of their wealthy customersFirst, we are a group of 3 and we were only given a single menu.I had to ask for an extra menu 3 times. The first time, the waitress just walked past me, probably pretending she didnt hear as if i wasnt there. The second time, i was just dismissed and i could read from her lips she said wait lang as she was rushing towards the customer behind me. Only on the third time did i finally get the menu.Ok so now we have decided what we want to eat. I raised my hand to call the attention of a waitress so we could give our order. A waitress rushed towards us, i thought to get our order but no, she just took the menu from our table (without even saying excuse me!) and handed it over to the customer whove just arrived next to us. Wow!I try to be patient and understanding every time i eat out. Rarely do I feel the urge to complain about service but this time I just couldnt help it.

The veggies are okay and so is the coffee. I ordered katsudon and the coating is really good but the meat is sort of dry.Service 4/5I can not complain that mich on service because I was not charged with service fee. One thing I can comment though is that there is a possibility that your order will be served late but you are informed beforehand. Especially the chicken teriyaki which cooks for 45mins.Ambience 4/5People flock here so expect a lot of people. Was just there a few minutes ago. Unfortunately, we didnt even get to taste their food because we stood there waiting to be seated for over 20 minutes, thinking the front receptionist was just busy or away; but nobody attended to us at all. The moment we sat down by the waiting area, another group came in, and this girl near the counter who was gossiping with her colleague assisted them right away. Apparently, she was just there!Obviously this girl needs to do her job properly or be taught how to do her job properly. All she was doing was gossiping around.You work in customer service, you should now that you are the fore front and face of the company. Totally disappointing. We were so hyped up to trying them out for nothing. I read some reviews on zomato about how rude and unaccomodating their staff are, and was hoping to nevertheless give Izakaya the benefit of the doubt. Went to another place instead.
