AMBIENCEThis part of Makati City has gotten strongly interesting since Little Tokyo started having new neighbors just across the street! Ikigai Kakigori Cafe shares space with Wabi-Sabi on the second floor of Makati Central Square (formerly known as Makati Cinema Square). Signage can be seen from outside but you need to enter the mall and take the stairs to access these two establishments. Actually, we only noticed Wabi-Sabis name outside, thinking the dessert was directly theirs. We decided to visit since we planned a week ahead that well try their dessert. What timing for the air-conditioning to be really strong too!DESSERTKuromitsu Kakigori solo Php200 was our choice because of one word: Houjicha! Its also available (like other flavors) for sharing at Php280. Ice had such a fine and impressive texture while the beans were tasty. Mochi was nice and chewy but the number of pieces made me wish we ordered the for sharing option. Home-made Houjicha Ice-Cream was the BEST part of the dessert because we really love that roasted flavor it offers, and this was the first time experiencing it in such a simple yet special form.GOOD IMPRESSIONSI love that they have home-made ice-cream, vegan options and cute water pitchers!SERVICEIt was a quick wait for everything.
