Love the sinigang kawali
Kung pow chicken, wonton nachos, Engkanto lager
The Belle & Dragon is one of the good restaurants my partner and I, together with our Japanese friends, really wanted to try but our schedules didnt agree. So when I got an email last Monday, inviting me for a Foodie Meet-Up, I couldnt help but smile the whole day due to excitement that I will be able to finally try this restaurant.Together with other foodies, we were invited by The Belle & Dragon to try their new dishes for the 2nd quarter of 2018. We had Bangers & Mash, Scotch Eggs, B & D Crispy Pata, Lamb Sisig, Double D Burger, The Big D, Sweet Potato Fries and Cream of Tomato. I really love hotdogs and sausages. I want them long, tasty, cheesy and satisfying and their Bangers & Mash didnt disappoint. The smell of charred onions got me hooked before tasting the dish. The sausage was of high quality. It was bursting with flavor and so tender. The natural casing was just perfect in keeping the sausage in tact and firmly looking. Paired it with a perfectly crushed creamy mashed potato and Im ready to go.Scotch Eggs is a proof that a simple egg could be this extra delicious. This is one of my faves too! The coating was delicious. The underdone yolk is what I always wanted with boiled eggs. You will surely ask for more.I always drool when I heard of Crispy Pata and got excited imagining every part of it will shatter inside my mouth upon mastication. So when I found out that Crispy Pata is one of the dishes that we have to taste, I was excited. Sadly, I find B & D Crispy Pata as nakakaumay because its more on fats than crisps. Good thing, they served it with 4 different dips to make this dish more exciting. If youre looking for a dish with a kick, you should try their Lamb Sisig! It was moderately spicy which makes it an ideal pulutan. It has abundant chicharon on top too! So grab this together with your favorite beer. Cheers! When it comes to burger, Im always looking for a flavorful and juicy one and The Double D Burger failed me on this. The patty was a bit dry and tasteless. Maybe for some, they may like this low level of flavor but its really a No for me. Not suitable for a Filipino taste, I guess. The Big D or the Bacon Wrapped Hotdog in a bun was good but it was not that really outstanding. The hotdog was of high quality though. The Sweet Potato Fries tasted good. Whether you eat it hot or cold, the taste remains the same. Though, I prefer it hot. I love the spicy mayo that goes along with it. Yummm!Cream of Tomato soup tasted good when hot. I love it! It was creamy and tasty. Perfect soup to start your meal. Aside from extensive menu and good tasting dishes, the ambiance here is great! Amazing how this place was silent during our visit and got crowded and lively at night! Dont miss the hidden bar!Overall, it was a good experience. The restaurant co-owner and the chef were so nice and very open to listen to our feedback, may it be positive or negative and theyre very much willing to improve the negative ones. Thanks for having us The Belle & Dragon!
Belle and Dragon has been open for 2 years now and it’s still going strong. Their inspiration for their cuisine is west (Belle) and east (Dragon). Learn something new everyday, Also, it’s better to call ahead to reserve seats because it gets easily fully booked. They currently have these events you might want to check out:Tuesday - Trivia NightThursday - Music Trivia NightThen happy hour from 4pm to 9pm, you’ll get 50% off on beer and selected bar chow. Here are some of the dishes we tried:Wanton nachos (Php 410) - I LOVE THIS! Crunchy wanton with mozzarella, cheddar, ground pork and their own sauce.Salt pepper calamari (Php 395) - fresh squid dipped in batter and cooked until golden brown. These three dishes are great for spicy lovers. They all give the kick and flavor youve always craved for. Kung pow chicken (Php 350), Go chang wings (Php 480) and Honey hot sauce wings (Php 480).These bar chows are perfect with a glass of Hoegaarden and Stella Artois.Thank you Belle & Dragon for having us.
Apart from a bar and restaurant, the Belle and Dragon conducts quiz nights that are engaging and fun. Located along C. Palanca Street, a block from Ayala Avenue, it is accessible in the Makati business district..We were amazed with the great tasting food they serve. My favorite is the Kung Pow Chicken which has the right amount of chili and is mixed with lots of toasted garlic and cashew (P350 for four pieces of wings). The Chicken Karaage Baos is recommended if you like a mix of spicy and sweet (P395 for four pieces of wings)..For the beers, we tried the Hoegaarden Rosée which is a sweet wheat-fermented beer. Whats interesting about Hoegaarden is that it is double fermented for a better taste. They do the double fermentation by adding yeast on the bottle before sealing it, extending the fermentation process until storage. It is suggested to swirl the bottle before drinking to properly mix the sediments resulting from the second fermentation (P294 for a glass). If youre into strong beers, Stella Artois is recommended (P302 for a glass).
The place is nice... crowd, staff, beers and... Strongly suggest try the hidden door behind. And its safe for both boys, girls and couples too...
Food was fantastic! They even have trivia night or music night, different theme activities per night. And they have a whisky bar! Very unique
Great food and place. Get your wallet ready though because youre going to spend!
Great food. Great restroom (with bidet). Pretty priceyReally loud place
氣氛很棒的酒吧,很適合都會白領下班放鬆的地方!
The Belle and the Dragon is a great place to hang out in Makati. If you want a regular pub for you and your friends, it provides that vibe. The food however is a hit or miss. We tried the wanton fries nachos and those were divine. The mains were passable pub food, the sisig was served with chicharon from a preserved pack, meal bowl portions were tiny - nothing beyond ordinary. And desserts were mediocre at best with only 3 choices. A dj plays great music on a friday night and their trivia nights are the icing on sweet pub-vibes cake. Overall, rightfully a pub, passably a food destination.
Great food and great ambience. Had our christmas party and we were very satisfied.
Not bad of a place but overpriced on their drinks. Cocktails not made right. I dont mind paying for a good drink but if the drink is so so then not worth it.
Probably the best Pub type bar in Manila, Friendly staff, good food, extremely spacious, sensibly priced, very popular with locals, open until 3am, best of all, lots of large screen TVs, and every game imaginable. Just ask if its not on.
Great bar great music nice food friendly service
Good food, good music, worth price!
Great food and great drinks. Perfect place for a nightcap
The food is expensive and tasted subpar though the place is nice.
The secret door to the smoking area is cool! Great ambiance, too.
Отличное место попить пива с подходящей для этого едой и закусками. Несколько сортов хорошо известного импортного пива и несколько сортов вкусного филиппинского пива. Еда тоже вкусная. Обслуживание «стараются, но не очень получается».
Great sports bar. I ordered the nasi goreng chicken and its was heavily breaded with not much meat but mostly breading.
시끄러운것 싫어하는 사람이면 실내는 피하는것이 좋아요.무난하고 맥주나 위스키 한잔 하기에 나쁘지 않아요
Drinks are strong surprising good . Well, you must try lah....
Good vibes and good drinks. Check out the hidden bar behind the closet.
Visited the place for a band gig. Its ideal for that kind of feels, chill with a live music of a band you like.
One of the favorite bar in town, love especially their quiz night on Tues. and Thurs.
Awesome place to watch sports events because they have HUGE and PLENTY Of TV monitors viewable from every angle.
Delicious food at reasonable prices. The staff here is top notch and will remember you by name. I came here almost every day during my week long trip and enjoyed it every time. Make sure you check them out on Thursdays. Also, their burgers and homemade potato crisps are a must-try!
Great atmosphere in a nice buzzing pub. Nice singalong music
Love the ambience, good food good service not too pricey
가격대높고 맥주맛도 그럭저럭 근처숙소라갔는데 멀리서찾아올것까진 없는곳이라고봅니다 맥주는 셈플러 명칭도이상했고 가격도 높은편이라 비추 그냥시켜드세요
Great variety of beers, good food, friendly staff and of course Narnian surprise :)
Never a bad experience here tbh. Ganda ng place, sarap ng pagkain, and when youre done you can get whiskey in Mandalay. Just enter the wardrobe.
For the beer enthusiast, theres few places like it here. They also have seasonal drinks which is a reason to check out the place every now and then. Definitely a place you go to with your buddies. You can drink at tables, on the counter, or outside standing. Theres another bar inside with the entrance cleverly guised as a closet for a more relaxed and toned down experience.I remember one of the salads distinctly leaving a bad taste but I dont think thats what people come here for anyways. You see people in their 20s and up. Havent seen college kids here.Price is on the higher end of what youd usually pay for in bars, around 1500 per person when I went but it heavily depends on what your order and how much you drink.Staff was very accommodating and we had a lot of fun joking around with them.
Theres nothing to exciting at this place. The bar and the food is boring. The front waiters are friendly. But the back closet bar is full of smokers blowing their cigarettes all over you! Phewe!
We love the draft beers and thier list of menu and all the staffs and servers are friendly and accomadating.Keep it up!
Staff there is great, place is nice & price is reasonable
We had our company bonding here and was really taken cared of. Food is great and that night they have comedy manila and it was such good fun for us.
I like this place! Great Food and Great Cocktails!
Relaxing atmosphere, good music, friendly stuff and nice food.
