Sampalok candy + crispy palabok = my go-to food
Great food and drinks! You wouldnt know how it would really taste if you havent tried each of their Filipino-inspired drinks! We tried the SAMELONMIG, TAHO, CALAMANSI MOJITO and the SCRAMBLE! Soooo good! The food selection is The place might get a little bit crowded especially in the veranda area so make sure youll get a reservation before you go there. Excellent service! One of the best places in Pobs for a night out!
A little insight into Filipino culture — Filipino words are tricky in the sense that one word can have variable meanings depending on the layer of nuance it refers to.Alamat - is a noun that means legend but in slang is used as an adjective. A person who is an alamat cannot just be mundanely cool, he has to be outlandishly awesome or über cool!Alamat Filipino Pub & Deli certainly lives up to its moniker with Filipino originality at its best, showcasing local ingredients and serving unique takes on ingredients we usually associate with everyday cooking staples.Their signature kalamansi mojito and Salabatman (made of Salabat or ginger) did not disappoint! Again, the play with words is evident - it can mean salabat man (ginger man) or a fun mix of the word salabat + batman. Either way, its a fun way to mess with your mind! What is even more admirable is their foray into creating a signature liquor - the Sirena (Mermaid) Blue Pea Gin - it has a periwinkle blue shade from a local flower known as the Asian pigeonwings or blue pea (Clitorea ternatea, yes, the scientific name is real..) and has hints of orange peel, lavender and cardamom. Take it straight with a slice of citrus and watch it turn into a nice shade of purple! This would make an awesome pasalubong for tourists and balikbayans who want to bring a piece of the Philippines wherever they may be in the world.Just like a legend, Alamat will stay in your collective consciousness as a go-to bar when you’d like to do a bar crawl along Don Pedro St. in Poblacion. Head next to their sister bar Agimat because I know I will.
Really trendy place, great atmosphere for friends to gather and grab some unique drafts or cocktails. the food had a delicious smell, however decided not to eat there because we saw two massive cockroaches in the restaurant and the bathrooms had a potent unclean smell which is unfortunate because they are located at the entrance of the restaurant.
I love the concept of this laidback pub in Poblacion. The cocktails served at this place have interesting names such as Tikbalang, Kapre Barako, Aswangria and Salabatman. What makes this place stand out from the rest is its friendly staff. Everyone knows how to keep guests happy and satisified. Most of them even know how to speak Bisaya to accommodate Bisayas like me Highly recommended! Take note though, that the place can get crowded right away. There are only few seats available in the first floor and the rooftop area.
The Taho cheesecake is nice. The combination of both the syrup and tapioca matched the creaminess of the cheesecake. We also tried the chocolate cake which we did not like. Its served warm but theres something wrong with the consistency of the cake. They have cocktails with a touch of Filipino flavors try it. Theres also craft beers on tap. Enjoy Alamat with the company of your friends and unmet friends.
First of all, they allow pets so that easily gives this place 5 stars Thankfully, their food were really yummy and unique too. I especially liked the Bacon Bagnet, Adobo sa Pula Chicken Wings and Tusok Tusok. Its a local tapas kind of place where you can order a variety of food and try them all or share them. My boyfriend loved their local craft beers on tap. Im sure any beer lover would.
I really loved the atmosphere at Alamat, its small but vibey. They have a large selection of beers on tap (mostly local), as well as very interesting cocktails (I recommend the Samelonmig... Youre welcome). They also serve some great snacks :)
I think the braised beef Kansi was the tastiest meal I have ever had. A must try for foodies.
Busy, young crown with nice friendly staff. Outdoor terrace upstairs is worth visiting.
One of the best speak-easys in Makati. Excellent food and cocktails. 5 stars!
Ordered Bacon Bagnet, Isawan, Bagoong Rice and Samelonmig. Excellent F&B. Very friendly and accommodating staffs.
Great ambiance and delicious food and I like their kiwi malt local drink
The place was small as hell, dont pick the spots outside when the weather is hot. what i like about this place was the crew, they were very attentive and approachable.
Nice vibe, great atmosphere, drinks & food
Nice music, ambience and service.. cocktails are not that great, but they have good beers here..
Great drinks and grilled pinakbet. Local ambience
Food looks amazing, staff are lovely, the beer selection is wonderful but it’s way overpriced ... then in addition to those high prices they surprise you with adding VAT (tax). I want to give 2.5stars, but that’s not possible here.
Some servings are larger than expected. Expect bar type seating and open air.
Alamat has a creative menu, delicious cocktails, friendly service and a great rooftop to people watch from. The sisig, pusit, sausage, and bagoong rice were delicious. I didnt love the pinakbet so Id pass on that one. They also serve a variety of craft beers that we got to sample. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, as its down to earth - not pretentious at all. Great for date night or if you just arrived in town and want a good meal. Food and drinks presentation was aesthetically pleasing. I wish that there was a place that incorporated this type of creativity into Filipino food back home.
Bonne ambiance.majorité des clients sont des locaux
The only thing that keeps me from coming back regularly is that the beers are never ever cold enough. Last night 4 of the 5 I sampled were super warm. They have a good enough local selection but I dont understand why the beers arent cold. Its been like that since they opened over a year ago and that hasnt changed at all. Shame.
Hmmm. Small size food servings. And also cocktails are not that good.BUT great selection of craft beers.
Theyve got good beers and snacks.... ambiance is also nice for an evening catch up with friends....
Super loved the waiters and barmen. I ordered thier tahoooo and aswangria which were the best local alcoholic drinks ive tasted inawhile.
Nice selection of beers. Mediocre sausages.
I noticed that everyone did not finish their dishes and the service was excruciating slow
A bit pricey cause its a foraging bar but ambience and drinks are hella good!!!
Creative menu. Drinks are great. Ambience was good.
Good Place! Kraft Beer was good!
You havent tried Filipino food until you tried this place. Everything we ordered was delicious, staff is nice and they have plenty of draft beer to wash this down.
Uncomplicated Philipino Fusion with good drinks. Their crisps with cheese sauce and their chicharron are outstanding.
Ideal spot above the busy walking street- similar to Bourbon St in New Orleans during Mardi Gras. Get the bar stool section for the best people watching views. Beer selection is solid, but a bit on the pricey side.
Great place, great beer, and super friendly staff! Binigyan kami ng free melon! When we come back, ako naman magdadala ng melon! Thank you, Ate and Kuyas!
Its a nice place and many people around
Very nice, craft beer, attentive staff, good food, good price and funky non-touristy atmos. My favourite bar in this area.
Was able to finish off a 500ml pure Lambanog with a friend.
They have great choices of local craft beer. Downside a bit crowded and hot in the veranda
Love this esp Serena Gin
Excellent selection of locally made IPAs.Pulutan is unique and delish.Beers are a little bit expensive for the average consumer but worth it.Recommended!
Nice and cozy pub. A little expensive for Filipino standards but understandable since its craft beer
The best dishes and cocktails in Makati created by Chef Ninyo Laus
Very chill and inviting atmosphere. Parking is scarce so prepare to walk a lot.
Best place for Lllocal craft beer and novel Filipino cocktails and food.
