This entire meal was just around 900 pesos (under 20 dollars) including service charge: two types of ramen, a salad, and a side of gyoza. House tea can be requested hot or cold (iced).I usually prefer soba but I liked the richness of the ramen here. I enjoyed the Ikkoryu Original Tonkotsu, described in the menu as “Tonkotsu ramen garnished with Chashu, green onion, bamboo shoots, wood ear and dried seaweed.” The Spicy Tobanjan Tonkotsu was also satisfying; it was mildly hot so you can still savor the flavors of the pork and the garnish. I would recommend adding Ajitama (soft boiled egg) to every ramen order. The pork gyoza was not extraordinary but it was tasty and not too oily. The crunchy Ikkoryu salad with sesame dressing was refreshing; the cucumber was a nice contrast to the richness of the other dishes we ordered.Definitely coming back to try other types of ramen like the Black Garlic Tonkotsu and the miso version. Next time, we’ll leave room for dessert—the sea salt caramel and black sesame flavors sound good. If you’re into matcha, that’s the third ice cream flavor on the menu.
They made their ramen affordable, but the taste is a bit lacking. Good for a quick fix. Their place in SM North is small but they expanded it and placed a semi-secluded area in front of their small restaurant that has several tables. Near the department store so its a good stop for a ramen snack when you get tired from shopping.
My second time to eat ramen but this one is a winner for me for its affordability, taste (hubby said taste is authentic), and attentive staff. It is ocated at the ground floor of SM North EDSA main building, near exit to the carpark. Place is small but looks cozy. We were seated outside and hubby chose the Ikkoryu lunch set at 299 pesos - Yakimeshi set for him and Gyoza for me. We were given the option of how we want our ramen - soft, medium, or hard (just like a massage lol). We both chose medium. It took long for our orders to arrive but I understand since they have to cook it as ordered. The long waiting time (around 15 minutes) has been compensated with how delicious the ramen is. Thumbs up also to Gyoza and Yakimeshi. I dont care about the authenticity anyway as long as it is delicious hahaha Just for information, you have to pay additional 10% service charge. Will I eat here again? Definitely yes
Ikkoryu Fukuoka is one of the pioneers when it comes to popularizing ramen places here in Metro Manila. Its latest branch opened in SM City North EDSA and it is a welcome addition to the diverse food choices in the mall. I love the classic ramen at Ikkoryu because the soup tastes amazing and you can even request how you want the noodles cooked.
1. when ramen is served, 1 finger of server is inside the bowl2. gyoza takes too long before served. i got to finish ramen, and billout before it came.3. when waiter is taking finished bowl, she put utelsils of other customers in my bowl (while it is in my table), then took it.4. there are vacant seats inside but they placed me outside because im eating alone.bad service
Affordable but authenticity and taste is far from the original Japanese ramen. Quick service and its funny that the server switched our orders to the other table.
* Food - we ordered AJITAMA and ABURI TONKOTSU.Big bowl, but SMALL SERVINGS or maybe the bowls are too big for 1 single serving. However, broth are ALL MOUTH-WATERING AND SATISFYING.Same with Karaage and gyoza which are all classic!* Ambience - small restaurant but relaxing.* Cleanliness - satisfied!* value for money - not too cheap, and not too expensive* service - perfect and they are all attentive to our concerns.
Billing out process was longer than the eating time.
