Di sya nakakaumay.. very nicely done.. Soft and tender.. sarap..
Heard this place had Tokyo origins so was eager to try, and expectations were evenly met. Server was prompt and helpful in picking our orders. Personally, I enjoyed the gindara set and felt it was well worth it. Also tried the Hire Katsu Set and it was delicious. Although price can go to the high side if you’re deciding to order the premium types of meat. By the way, there is a spacious parking lot at the back if you pass thru the narrow driveway. Worth coming back to when in the area.
I adore Japanese food. That much has been established in my past reviews. So, an invite for a new restaurant opening has been always a welcome treat for me just as when Fumizen Japanese Restaurant, with its 40 years in the food business, opened its doors to us, Filipinos.Of the food served our group, the Cheese Menchi-Katsu (cheese filling was truly inviting) and the Spicy Salmon Aburi Maki Roll and Prawn Katsu (made of plump prawns) were the ones that really left a mark on me. Something I can recommend to dear friends. We were also served Fumizen’s famous dish, Tonkatsu. This tender, deep-fried pork cutlet with soup, fruits, iced tea and three choices of sauce: a tart sauce, Tonkatsu sauce and my favorite, truffle rock salt.Service was, well, still to be improved. The effort was there but the servers need to have more confidence about their work and about themselves. It’s not enough that they know and follow each and every service rule but as important, self-assurance. The time that we were there, they were mere robots without voice boxes.Just the same, congratulations and good luck.
Nice Fud stuff...
