Worth the Michelin star! Even during this GCQ, people are still lining up to dine in or take home this delicious Singaporean-style roasted meal from Hawker Chan. The taste and quality hasnt changed since before the lockdown and when I tried Hawker Chan in Singapore 3years ago. But now, they offer delivery and pick up for those who are in a hurry, the branches and their contact information are in the photo. My favorite is Char Siew with noodles and Beef Brisket with rice. Soya Sauce Chicken and Fried Dumpling is also good.

I am disappointed. The restaurant took much pride with one Michelin star, but other restaurants with same food and price deserve better rating. Here are the reasons:1. Food is not fresh. Stone-cold chicken and pork are served. Definitely not fresh.2. Bad customer service. Crew are not welcoming and accommodating. They are not polite. QSR crew like Mang Inasal are better than this one Michelin-starred restaurant. If this is what a Michelin-starred restaurants standard is, think twice. Food tastes like typical Asian cuisine, more on Chinese cuisine. So, would I recommend this? Well if there will be changes...

A no frills gastronomic trip for sure but no michelin star for me for this one. Too expensive for a fast food choice. Still worth a try though.

The food was good. I was expecting too much from it though so I was a bit disappointed but overall the price and the food as well as the service was superb...

Ive been here several times already, and so far, the food they serve are consistently worth the hype. It is a bit pricey compared to fast food restaurants near by, but its worth every bite. The downside, for Chicken lovers who prefer certain parts, you dont get to choose which part goes to your plate.. it always depends on whats available in their kitchen. So, didnt get to enjoy my chicken since I only eat the leg thigh part and was given otherwise despite my request. The cashier explained my comments above.

Noodles is a must try. However, their chicken is fine but will not give you a wow feeling factor. Food is not hot when served.

The fact that this place has a Michelin star, we raised our expectations. But surprisingly, we weren’t disappointed at all. The quality to price ratio is incredible. Char Siew turned out a lot better than their best selling chicken roasts tho. Definitely a must try. Service is a little slow and chicken was a little cold and not fresh.

Soya sauce meats are good..just that the sugars were too roasted, the outer layer had hints of charcoal-ly taste; the noodles tasted and smelled quite differently (not rotten or oxidized smell though, just something Im not used to); plus theres too much oil and sauce going on all over the plate. We liked the tofu. It was a filling meal overall.

(Photos are untouched food)If I can give it a 2.5 I would. Not really worth the trip. Just stumbled upon this when I was in the mall. Theres a place in Salcedo, Makati thats better.Do not expect it to be the real deal. Their hot sauce/ chili condement isnt even spicy. I sense its been watered down. The sambal sauce on the noodles soooo little. But I appreciate the vegetable plate.Yeah its cheap but for the people around the area this isnt as cheap.

I get why this place earned a Michelin star, the food was delish! Not the healthiest lol, with everything drowned in soy sauce, but it was tasty & for that price democratically welcomes everyone (students, freshers, ppl on a budget) to eat, thus encouraging us lesser mortals to come back - again & again. It was a breath of fresh air to order new things, stuff Ive never seen in other chinese restos b4 (& we have many here). Things like the drink Barley w/ calamansi, like whod have thunkd? Or my new favourite dessert, the Aloe Vera Jelly. Only thing that put me off was the useless manager. He refused to budge to help customers with their orders, just stood there glaring like he didnt want to be there. The rest of the crew were quite helpful, though. Also, Id like to suggest adding roast duck, ginger chicken & scallions & ginger in oil in the menu to up the ante.

What a disappointment! I was so excited when I stumbled upon this one star Michelin restaurant. Whoever decided to give this brand a one star Michelin rating must be smoking something. Having enjoyed at least a 100 Michelin starred restaurants around the world, I would not even give this place a Michelin recommendation. With all of the imported restaurant brands all over Asia, and some well established Asian brands already in Manila, I really doubt this brand stays open for more than 5 years. Nevertheless, good luck to Hawker Chan. This is the first time a Michelin rated restaurant totally let me down. Next time, Ill be very careful when I see a Michelin star brand.

The famous Hawker ChanThe chain restaurant of the cheapest michelin star food in the world. Not the original stall liao fan hong kong soya sauce chicken rice at chinatown hawker mind you.And as Malaysian/Singaporean, Id say this one is quite nice, mind you ah I havent eaten Singapore food for quite some time so this somewhat reminds me of that, the chilli with the chicken and the shio bak is so shiok but the char siew is cannot la.All in all this is a good representative of what you can expect of singaporean daily fare. Prices actually quite okay considering the portions.

I used to find this place really nice but now I think otherwise. Im not quite satisfied with their service, the staff werent the nicest and their serving size has changed so much since. The taste was kind of the same but the dining experience isnt/ has not been. We would often order their platters and signature chicken dish. I wouldnt recommend this place for meeting friends or dining with family since its always so crowded for having very limited space. The chairs and dining tables arent as comfy as other places within the same price range. Im not sure if Id love going back here again, which is sad for how much we used to love Hawker Chan.

They told us to place our order before we could reserve our table. Then after we learned that we have to look for our own since new comers just seat and reserve even without their orders. We end up waiting. Holding our order number. Very disappointing.Food is okay.

Hmm.. To be honest I expected more. I was drawn in by the michelin awarded thing so i decided to try. The moment i got to the counter, I order the charsiew with noodles. Staff was kinda grumpy but the managers were really nice. The food was ok but nothing really special. I really liked the taiwan pechay. The noodles was kinda sad to eat dont know why. Charsiew was a litttle burnt on the outside but was tender. Waiting time was about 15 to 20 minutes. It felt like not worth the price but its up to you.
