The place looks ordinary from the outside but it is way beyond that once you step inside. The interior of Kalogan is like a mini museum of mixed Filipino, Bohemian and Movie themes. Its homey and at the same time artistic.Silogs, breakfast meals with different Filipino viands paired with egg and fried or plain rice, are very affordable in small but fair servings, starting at P49. Filipino delicacies and desserts are available too. The best part of the breakfasts at Kalogan is the free brewed coffee until 10AM! Thats a real treat for coffeeholics like moi!

Dont let the nondescript facade fool you. Inside is a bohemian diner that offers all-day bfast at the cheapest prices. Servings are quite small for big eaters like me but that actually makes you order their other silog meals. Everything starts at P39!! Do not miss their famous french toast. Barako coffee is unlimited until 9am or so, so drink up. Check out their vintage posters of Hollywood movies and other cornucopia.
