I booked here at The Beverly Hotel for my one night stay in Cebu (Sept 6 - 7, 2018) because first, it is near to the office where I will work and to the uptown part of Cebu which is good since I could go to different establishments/ locations by foot (actually thats a plus- knowing that the traffic here in Cebu is rampant and heartbreaking you would want to travel by foot). Fyi, its only 5 blocks away from Redemptorist Church (pls visit the church, youll never know what youll miss out) and from Mango Avenue (yes to nightlife! haha!) Secondly, why not? With its low rates, caring staff and delicious complimentary breakfast, I think this could be my second home away from Manila. Also, they serve welcome drinks for new guests! (well, for the first day - no false truth here)Bed is comfy enough (not that sturdy foam feeling), toilet flush is good, theres a hot and cold shower, good wifi connection and has a huge cabinet and hangers for our clothes safe keeping. Also, you can choose your complimentary breakfast based on the available choices they have at the time (take note that the coffee they served is brewed so I suggest you take the brewed coffee for your breakfast- well unless you want a juice drink haha!).Apparently, what I dislike about my room is the bad odor coming from the toilet bowl whenever I flush it and the window being a Faux Wood Blind (its like Im being seen from outside - you can see this on the photos I will share here). Also, payment for the room is made before you even get to the room which is unusual since I got used to paying the room before I check out.All in all, its a good stay even for families with kids and especially to business travelers like me.PS. Didnt change my sheets when requested. I had no refrigerator and I left some snacks out that attracted ants and they didnt clean it until the 2nd day after. Front desk people and wait staff are really nice and the food isnt as bad as what the reviews say. I had a 3rd of the menu and it technically is on par with the legendary house of lechon. Best part is that I caught up on some major needed sleep since the hotel is within a very QUIET block

The place was awesome..very convinient to your iteneraries..a very cozy relaxing place to stay..

Old building: cracks in the wall, no key card but a metal key, loud aircon that is enabled on request not by default, mattress has lost sturdiness, no USB outlets. Nevertheless, its a good option for budget travelers. The hotel is excellently located near Mango Ave. The breakfast is fine, and food can be ordered to your room.

Best Breakfast Corned Beef in Cebu!

So far, our stay is good. Room is clean with complete towels and soaps.. Our accommodation has two free breakfast, we chose corned beef and longganiza with egg. Coffee is unlimited as much as you can.

I understand that hotel star ratings are overstated in many parts of the world, including the Philippines. But even by the most relaxed standards, this hotel is 3 stars at best. In mention this because if it had been more accurately rated, I would have researched it more thoroughly, and very possibly not stayed there. Other than the overrating, a marginal location and the fact they wanted to charge 50p for a 3rd pillow, it was okay.

Checking in was quick and easy. The room had a strong smell of smoke (previous guest?) when checking in but the staff were attentive and brought air freshener to mask the odour.

This is always my go to hotel because its one of the best locations, has a breakfast I enjoy and walking distance to the nightlife. Ive stayed here about 2 dozen times and have never regretted it. Highly recommend it to the budget traveler looking to save money and have some fun.

This hotel is in a great location--to see hookers and homeless people.You have to walk down a dark street off the main road to get to this place. It is for that reason alone I cannot recommend this hotel for female travelers.The food was quite good ,but pricey, and the room was large. However the AC was old and loud it was impossible to watch youtube with the AC on. The staff were friendly and spoke fluent English.I was irritated to find out that my booking didnt include free breakfast even though it said on the Agoda website that breakfast was included. However, in my particular booking it did say breakfast was not included so thats not their fault. What is their fault is that they wanted to charge me just 238 pesos for a piece of toast and egg. I dont think so...

It is ok hotel, because it was very close to Mango street during Sinulog festival. There is no safe box, refrigerator or electric kettle or coffe maker in the room. Hair dryer was from 60s time. Free breakfast with room was consist of one egg, one slice of ham, one slice of tomato, one slice of cucumber and one slice of lettes. It was perhaps from child menu. Room was big and AC was working fine. We saved taxi ride to Mango street during Sinulog and no traffic, just walking distance.

Good clean hotel not expensive good breakfast

Our room was big and we were on the ground floor. Rooms were clean. Beds were a little soft for me but hey for $20 what can ya say. The bathroom was always spotlessly clean. The hot water was very hot. Hot shower was a bonus. Will be back next year.

Great price...safe hotel...best option for a night on Mango Ave...they make very good pies...make good USA holidays special meals...this hotel was previously called Eddies Hotel...Beverly is Eddies daughter

Very good super friendly staff looking forward to coming again

Had some problem with the WIFI in the room when first arrive but hotel responded quickly and seem fine the remaining days there.The rooms are nice but smaller (more like a up scale pension house) but clean and comfortable. As most hotels in Cebu my opinion is it is over priced (not their fault more of the willingness of tourists willing to pay which has raised all rentals in the Philippines).Would probably pick a different one if staying longer than a day or two since not far away are some with a bit larger rooms for not much more cost per night.

Dining area had many humorous prints. The area was well secured and maintain by crew members.

The entire team is absolutely amazing. The hotel is located in a perfect location. The physical surroundings of the hotel was extraordinary. There is security in front of the hotel so not everyone can usually just walk onto the property. I was very happy with our room. The breakfast in the morning we found disappointing.

One of the worsest place in cebu. We has been in the first floor. Very narrow, very dark because no lsun could come in, the Bathroom very small and very bad, equipment, the bed mad from bamboo an no good mattress. The breakfast also simple and little.. So i waste almost 100 € / 5600 pesos) for 3 nights. .For almost the same price you will find much better hotels in cebu.In this hoteli felt always unsatisfied.

Mates and I stayed at the Beverly for only a single night but it was quite enjoyable. Great location just 100 meters to the main road where clubs and a supermarket are walking distance. Specialty Corned beef you shouldnt miss, the menu is great that I eat here sometimes rather than the mall.

Very accomodating front desk and housekeeping team keeps our room very clean. Has free soap and shampoo for the guests. Have very delicious breakfast too. Highly recommended.

Its still the same old Eddies hotel. Cant comment on the hotel accomodations as ive never stayed there, but the resto-bar continues to be in a class above in contrast to such a quaint, humble, and low-key establishment.

Big rooms and its fine.

We were 4 people and stayed 4 nights. They provided only enough soap and shampoo for 2. We bought large bars of soap and a bottle of shampoo at the large grocery store right next door. The fridge would freeze my beer quickly and the control knob was broken. We asked for an extre blanket, were given a sheet and charged for that. Only 1 chair for the table outside on the little porch. Staff were very nice and helpful. Over all an OK place.

The rooms are a good size with all the basic necessities. The thing that stands out in this hotel is the OUTSTANDING staff. Breakfast was included. Might stay again if we are on budget but generally id like to stay on hotel with higher floors, it gives me that hotel stay feeling.

This is the former Eddies Hotel that has been renamed to what it is now. Refurbished rooms with comfortable beds. Clean hotel and in a quite location just beside Iglesia ni Cristo and near Redemptorist Church. Free breakfast meals but the usual silog dishes but small servings. Affordable accommodation.

As someone who has travelled most of South East Asia I can say that this is the WORST hotel Ive stayed at, its shockingly disgusting. On arrival, the young *** did not help us at all. Restaurant had cobwebs up in the ceiling corners. The hotel is in a very good location.

They helped us be not penalizing us for being a day late due to our travel plans being delayed. This was due to the typhoon that hit at that time.

There was no lift and the cheaper rooms were on the third floor. It was good that I did not have too much luggage.However the free breakfast was good and staff ever friendly.

Been coming here for years. Its still mostly the same as always and I wouldve rated them higher except the prices have gotten too high. I can get room service breakfast at Marco Polo with more food for less.

The environment is quiet.There is a supermarket nearby.And there are a lot of restaurants.
