Wasnt too good the food tasted old and stell. My girlfriend did not enjoy it.

Best Chinese in Johnson city 100% My husband and I were looking for new places to dine in and had a lovely dinner, he ordered the General Chicken and he said it was the best he’s ever had. I’m a little more adventurous and I tried the Spicy fish soup, I believe it’s soup #3 on the authentic Szechuan menu and that it’s self could’ve filled me up but I also ordered Shiang la chicken with leeks it was delicious and all great portion sizes. The young lady serving us was very polite and friendly and the chef was very informative when we asked how our meal was prepared . Will be coming back very soon.

Love this place. It has great friendly staff. And the food is amazing. Best General Chicken in town. You get a good portion for your buck.

Food is okay, I think pricey to me but Im a big city guy or we have lots of choices for this maybe in Johnson City its not the same. Young lady working there was awesome we had the whole place to ourselves because they had just decided to start taking sit down guests again so it was overall a very nice experience.

The pork fried rice was not what I thought it would have been (my fault). I was expecting the pink pork chunks like I get back home. The strips of “pork” were chewy and not edible. The beef in the beef and broccoli was also chewy and left a gritty after taste. First and last time ordering from here.

This place is the best Chinese restaurant in town, especially if you order off of the Szechuan menu.

Ordered Food a few days ago and Was very impressed love the hot and sour soup and the cumin beef of the authentic menu is so good.

First time eating here well the sesame chicken was ok but the shrimp and broccoli had to much water. The egg rolls not good had a dirt taste to them. Very disappointed Maybe I just choose the wrong things but I did enjoy the bottled raspberry tea.... lol

*The last time I ate here 3 years ago it was good. This time our food tasted so strange. We took a couple of bites then we had to throw it away because neither of us could eat our meal. First try while on Keto diet and was accommodated easily with more veggies instead of rice. Working to be very proactive against covid ++. Had Beef with Broccoli & Chicken with mushroom trio, Both were very good. Portions are nice, prices fair. THANKS

I ordered wrong thing, (my mistake not theirs) but was still surprised! Both my orders I have gotten from here are delicious!! Ive door dashed both times and its worth the wait!!

DEFINITELY GO TO WAK AND HIBACHI!!! Meat is very chewy here and some parts definitely weren’t even beef. The rice was hard and the amount of excess oil is crazy. I feel like I need to wash my face. The only reason I left even 2 stars is because the server was very polite. (There was a man just waking around drinking a monster and watching TV while the server seemed very backed up, probably could have used his help, but I guess he gets paid to vape and watch TV) ps. The food gave me diarrhea afterwards. Wasn’t going to come back to add this but I just loved the snarky reply from the owner so there ya go.

The food cold as if it had been setting on the counter a while. I got the general chicken and fried rice. The chicken was fried hard and quite tough. The rice was dry and had no flavor. Everything was horrible.

They were very nice but got 2 out of my 3 orders wrong even with the correct order on the receipt. I ordered pork noodles and pork rice and got chicken. They did get my beef and broccoli right but nothing had any flavor and it was very greasy. Was really looking forward to the food :(

This is our go to Chinese takeout. A single order will feed 2-3 people and is delicious, depending on what you order. It might take a few attempts to find what you like. My only complaint is I wish the authentic Szechuan menu had descriptions associated with the dishes.

Their Szechuan menu is amazing! SO good. During this pandemic, getting takeout from Magic Wok has been a regular highlight for us. And the owner is awesome.

Dont. Just dont. The WORST Chinese food i have ever had. Ordered lunch at lunch hours. Paid for dinner. I shouldnt have to specify that i want Lunch AT LUNCH TIME.. Whoever is leaving 5 star reviews obviously dont eat at any other places. China Garden was better. But they shut down because of not being able to renew their lease.

Im currently reading Sharks Fin and Sichuan Pepper by Fuchsia Dunlop, and I really wanted to get some authentic Sichuan cuisine. Magic Wok delivered! The man who took my order (the owner?) talked me through a series of questions asking me what I wanted to try on my culinary journey, and he recommended the Cumin Beef with Cilantro (NB02), Shredded Pork Sauteed with Pickled Mustard (NP03), Guan Gong Chicken (NC03), Eggplant with Garlic Sauce (NV06), and the Szechuan Noodles with Beef (NB08). I also ordered the mini pork buns (NA09). My husband and I were in heaven for three whole days, chowing down on this delicately complex food. My husband loved the beef best while I loved the pickled mustard and pork....but he and I both agreed we loved everything. I am so happy to have found this restaurant and its friendly customer service. I will certainly be returning...and look forward to trying everything on the menu!!!
