Indian groceries place. Early mornings less crowded
Quick and almost no line
Its alot of indian and pakistani, food with them
Small Congested store. Good quality indian products though compares to peers.
Me encanta Las especias y algo mas
Good place, well stocked. Give it a try!
It could be cleanerGreat variety on Indian produce
Cramped, dirty store. Go only if you need to. Patel Brothers in Edison is way better.
Awesome for fresh veggie lovers
My favorite store, when comparing it to Apana Bazar the price is reasonable
Need parking for parchege grocery.where is your own stor parking
I have lots of respect for the owner, and for being the pioneer of Indian Grocery stores in Jersey City. Patel is one amazing man. My family has been a customer for years since the 80s. However, his daughter is mannerless, and lacks decency. She had no respect for anyone whether it be elderly or young. I have no idea what her problem is but she clearly is rude beyond content. She has belittled individuals in front of me even when they are nice to her. She needs a reality check and an anger management course. She wouldnt last as a shoprite cashier, let alone in the corporate world. There is a thing called business ethics, and customer relations that she possess no knowledge of. She treats customers as well as her own employees with a demeaning manner, its frankly atrocious. We barely go to Patels now because of her, not to mention she know half the names of products and where they belong in the store. The place is a wreck, lines are long, during the covid19 crisis they arent even regulating the limit of people inside the the stores (throw hygiene out the window)... Plenty of other stores Siya, and Apna Bazaar where everyone is respectful go there.
They have home delivery to select areas and its amazing ! Just a life saver.
My husband bought butter yesterday, on 11/8/20, hotel bar butter, it was moldy inside and had expire date of 9/18/20.
The rush is not bad on a midweek morning. Still filthy when it comes to cleanliness, and cashiers are busy gossiping on their Bluetooth. Speak loudly, they might notice...
You can get all indian grocery. But it is very small. They have all indian groceries in very small space which makes it crowded.
Seems like everytime u go there they get more disorganized and less space to walk around. Vegetables are either too raw or too stale. I like the other store at the end of the street better for fruits and veggies. Some of the items are overpriced as compared to other stores. They really need to get more organized and have enough space for people to actually walk and shop around. No idea how fire dept is not taking a look at this coz its a matter of 1 incident and it will be back coz people will trip all over.
Where you can find the Indian food and grocery
Over charged. At the register employee scan item and you do not see item in bag. Manager does not care. Employee s are trained to over charge customer.
Cramped space. But vegetables are fresh. I wish they got more space
Great variety of grocery. Indian grocery all sorts generally available here for a cheaper price compared to competitors. Check the expiry dates sometimes they keep relstive okd stuff too. But quality is fine.
Good to get all Indian food stuffs!!
Not good compared to plano, frisco (texas) based patel brothers in the vegetables quality. Some veggies like red leaves (amarnath leaves), other green leafy vegetables are not available here, but surprisingly they were in Apna bazaar which was down rated!! Although its the place but veggies here seems to be bit of low quality than texas based same chain.
Worst maintened place ever. Unhygienic. They clean and dust the place when people are around. The dust settles on the food. Never going again. Has become worse.
Good place for shopping Indian items, you will find almost 75% of your Indian items. Please note this is very small place and very congested you are literally going to get pushed by another customer.
Too much crowded during evening hours
Market is great to get all the authentic indian spices and foods
Good store but poor cashiers. Wont listen to your words they will put bill like a machine and move forward.
I hate to go to the Patel Brothers in Journal square. Its so dirty and dingy. No place between the aisles things are kept in a mess. Its simply disgusting.
Always gives you homely feeling like you are in India. You’ll find typical daily Indian household groceries along with other food items.
Its like everything under a single roof for those looking out to buy Indian food stuff/grocery like Indian vegetables, lentils, spices, mangoes, sweets n condiments etc. Especially you get a lot of varieties of chapattis n Parathas. Its like life made easy for Indian community living in the US
Most of the items are fresh and neatly arranged. Quality of items is good as well.
Fresh vegetables and fruits. One-stop-shop for your kitchen needs.
All the wuality Indian grocery ,vegetables available at reasonable prices. I recommend
Crowded, Congested, No common sense crowd. One of the best stops to have Indian groceries and vegetables/Snacks. But avoid this in evenings, or in weekends as its extremely congested and crowd doesnt bother to give you any courtesy. Irony is there are many strollers. However this is the best place to buy Vegetables especially Okra etc.
The place is terribly crowded and untidy. They have tried to use every inch of the store. However some of the veggies are quite fresh
