May 31st, 2021Let me start off by saying I Love this place. The wife and I have eaten here at least 40-50 times. We live close by, we ordered out when they were closed for Covid to try and help. We have never had a single problem with the food or the staff in the last 7 years. Yesterday was my birthday and the wife wanted me to have a great steak on my birthday. We didn’t have reservations as we weren’t sure what time we would be able to get to the restaurant on Monday Memorial Day. We arrived about 6pm and were quickly seated in the main dinning hall. We sat down for about 10 minutes when the bread was brought to our table. Now we have bread but no water or any drinks. Finally, our server came to the table but couldn’t take our drink order as his hands were full for another table. Eventually, after 15 minutes he came and took our drink order. Of course, since we had been here this long, we were ready to order our food and drinks. The food was good as always except the shrimp cocktail. The wife had to dig-out 4 of the shrimps they had not been fully deveined. At 4.50 a Shrimp you would expect them to be perfect especially when ordering 12 or “54.00”. The rest of the Food was amazing as it always is. Not once did our server “David” come to our table. The food was brought by a food runner. At this point I am perturbed that the service was so bad. I had to flag him down to get our check and two to-go boxes. He was so concerned about his 6-person table that he never checked on us. I get it if you are busy but come on. I wonder if it was because we were dressed in shorts that he assumed we weren’t going to tip well. Well, we left, and I made it a point to write on my receipt that he missed 50.00 in tip from me and the wife on a 300 tab. I am a very generous tipper when the server deserves it. I would still recommend this place to eat however if you get a server named “David” I would ask to sit somewhere else.
5 star service from Paul! The lamb chops were delicious & the plate presentation was beautiful!
