Beautiful location and decor, friendly staff and tasty food. We asked for extra ginger and the waitress went out off her way to make sure we had as much as we wanted. The sashimi platter was fresh and the presentation was lovely. The sushi was delicious.

Staff were lovely. We ordered the banquet, all the courses were absolutely delicious.

Delicious food, considerate staff, pleasant atmosphere, inspiring decor, and a lovely view... A great experience at Sono. The teriyaki chicken is so tender and tasty, and the Japanese plum wine with green tea is a must-try. We will be back.

I dined here for a 5 year anniversary and what a great place to dine for the occasion. The décor was beautiful and authentic, the sashimi was as amazing as always (been here 3 times already) and the service was excellent in terms of quality and timing.The menu items were pricey but we were happy to pay. I highly recommend the large sashimi platter as it is presented very beautifully with dry ice and the black cod saikyo yaki as it was so soft it melted in your mouth.

Sono never fails to impress me! I’ve been here a few times for dinner but lunch is a different experience. I ordered the vegetarian bento and it was DELICIOUS! Everything was cooked to perfection from the sushi, miso, soba to the tempura. The sushi instantly takes me back to Japan, the rice is cooked to perfection, not too hard or mushy. Sono has arguably the best sushi in Brisbane. The tempura was light and crispyAs usual the service was excellent and the wait staff was very attentive and friendly. We requested to sit by the window for the views and it was brilliant!Sono has amazing desserts but the bento boxes were so filling we did not order any. Loved the lunch experience I had today, I will definitely recommend this lovely restaurant to all my family and friends, and to those who enjoy authentic Japanese food.

I have been warned by many of my friends that this place is super expensive. So being a smart spender, I had my struggle when My wife ask me to go to Sono celebrate this year Valentine’s Day.Okay, this is my smart tips, go there for lunch, the lunch special can also taste the dinner menu at 1/3 of the price.$75 you can to have a 6 course chief special menu, Wagyu beef, sashimi etc. I really can’t ask for more.My wife had the bamboo bento box, 9 traditional dishes. My favourite is the miso cod, omg have you had fish melt in your mouth.

High end Japanese food place. They have a nice selection of wines and my favourite is yamazaki 18 whisky. Goes really well with the assorted Japanese dishes they have in their. The bento box was my favourite and is also a good place to take your partner ona date. Japanese fine dining in an excellent location. I would recommend sono to my friends and family.
