Great show with Gus Johnson w/ Eddie Burback! The only annoying part was the 2 drink or food minimum. I realize they need to make money. Maybe expand the menu and offerings for non alcohol drinkers.

The comedians were all so funny and entertaining, I had such a blast! The special cocktails were tasty and the service was excellent.

My wife and I had not laughed that hard for quite a while! Casual environment , crowd was involved , staff was great. The walls are filled with comics who have performed there before they became celebrities , very cool .

One of the last great comedy clubs in the country. Now we need some decent up and coming comics, the newer ones all over Netflix cant hold a candle to one of the titans of stand-up like a Bobby Slayton, Carllin, Gilbert Gottfried, Belzer, Richard Lewis, or David Brenner (RIP).

My friend used to perform here, thats how we got started coming.But that was years ago. Came here the other day....$27 entry fee2 drink minimum (at $9 a beer/drink)That would all be tolerable IF we werent seated literally ALL the way in back. We didnt have a table to put our drinks down, we sat on high chairs the whole time having to hold our drinks the entire time. Comedian says put your hands together for..... not gonna happen. Holding our drinks. Not to mention every waitress knocked into me at LEAST once each because of our location. I was literally almost sitting at the bar in back. I felt like the guy on the airplane in the aisle seat that keeps getting his elbow slammed.... like from Wedding Singer.Anyways.... their headliner really saved this review for them, he was absolutely energetic and hilarious. I was laughing the entire time. Recommended get there very early for decent seats.

This is a staple in Chicago as one of the most organic and historical comedy clubs. I have seen two shows at Zanies, and have enjoyed each experience. The opening acts are typically Chicago natives, rising comedians which makes it awesome for Chicago natives to see the new talent. The atmosphere is typical to a comedy club--crowded, small tables, basic drinks, but so much fun.

Had an awesome time but was a little warm inside. Would definitely go back!
