Stayed at this hotel with my parents during our most recent visit to Cagayan de Oro. It is a decent place to stay with clean rooms and affordable room rates.

Perfect location to eatery, transportation, convenience store, near to shopping mall. Room is big, clean, comfortable bed. shower room/bathroom is in descent size...just the curtain rod and pipes above shower head are rusty..need to be cleaned up...offered only soap no shampoo. Staffs are very helpful, polite

No slippers, no shampoo , parking space is small, no mini ref and no water inside the room, ofcourse this is a pension house compare to a hotelbut the room is clean and organize, small space tho

Great budget hotel. Nice and clean rooms. Parking is attended by security at all times (even the open parking by the gas station).Near places of interest, malls, convenience stores, and restaurants. They also have a decent breakfast buffet (it was around P130 i think)

This is a racist place. At first, the reception said that a room (affordable) is available. Then when they observed us and told us later that the room is no longer available and the more expensive room is available . Like what happened? So unusual

Awesome place. Maybe needs improvement on WiFi. You always got disconnected. Also at First, I thought I will miss my parking space since its limited within the hotel premise but theres an exclusive parking space in the other street just few meters away with security. Theres a convenience store, gasoline station, Fast food, pharmacy, bank, Kuya J resto near the hotel. Perfect. 3rd time to book.

The room I was given smelled moldy. The wind sills were dusty. The floor by the window was already cracked and flaking.Ok for an overnighter, but not for a long stay. Definitely needs repairs.

Would recommend this accomdation for its value for money and would definitely stay again in the future. The rooms were spacious. Reserve a room long before coming. Across the street is a Caltex service station which is open 24/7 and there is a reasonable supply of essentials and non-essentials available, at inflated prices of course. Good enough for the cost I have paid.

Staff was kind and courteous esp when I had to check in very late. Room was really clean. But amenities, although basic, were not even satisfactory. I was given a room right at the back of hotel and felt like I couldnt really relax. Complimentary toiletries was so outdated wirh only 2 round pieces of plain soap, no shampoo or conditioner. Shower looked very old. Towels were rough and looked used a million times. TV was also 10 years behind. Sheets were clean but blanket was so thin. And NO Internet operating in rooms but only at lobby. Advert in Expedia said 24hr airport shuttle available but non-existent at all. Breakfast buffet was unimpressive in choice (same everyday) and quality of cooking. Room aircon was ok but quite unreliable.

For a short stay acceptable but not for long.Toilet has no ventilation.No towel for the floor. Although room is clean flooring is waxy. Not sure if its a floor wax or lards. So sticky on the feet but no rug even.You can hear loud voice of employees and guests outside.Wifi is working in lobby only.Receptionist, not so friendly and detailed to tourists.

Well for a hotel of a certain age, it shows. Not senior level. For its price though, its decent. Next door is its sister hotel, newer, the plus edition; thus more expensive. One thing, a smile from front desk personnel wouldnt cost much but impression is lasting & priceless.

I am very happy with the location of the hotel. Combine the slippery tiles with the absence of a bath mat and you had to step gingerly out of the shower. The rooms are clean and the everything is functionally working. The cost is very reasonable. I Will not hesitate to recommend to friends and families to visit new dawn pension.

The room as expected had spacious leg room with standard sized double, and single bed. Get the best room offered as its only like 25$ or 1000 peso s. I have been to CDO, but this was just the time that i appreciated it so much regardless of the road repairs ***** the main streets of the city.

The staff are very accommodating. Very clean rooms. For location, it is very near the highway so if you want to go to Agora Terminal, Centrio/Gaisano/Limketkai. I did some research on this hotel and it appeared to be quite nice for the price. New Dawn Pensionee is accessible.

We rented 2 rooms. Both are clean and comes with 1 single and 1 queen beds good for family. Extra bed only costs 200. Like the location its close to restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

Accessibility is great (malls most especially). Near Vandep store and San Agustin Cathedral. Accommodation is great.

The rooms are clean and the a/cs work fine. However, the staff arent very accommodating. I asked if they had an iron for clothes only to be told the next mornung that it was broken and that they cannot do anything about it. My cousin looked for a first aid kit early in the morning because she stubbed her toe, they had none. At breakfast, I was waiting for the plates to finish washing. I grabbed one and told the one who was washing the dishes that a small piece of left over food was still on the plate. He merely washed it off with water and handed me the plate dripping wet. If the service was better, I would give this place 4 stars.

Our stay here was comfortable. Our rooms were great for the price. The view was not that great as we only see the other new New Dawn building. If there was something not okay with this pensionne house us that they do not have a large parking space. The underground could accommodate at most 10 cars with a very tight entrance. The other Park area is also not that large enough to accomodate if all their clients have cars.

Rate 1200 pesos/ night this is good value for the money to few nights stay. Its location is very accessible to major amenities of the city. Their rooms are clean. To rub salt into the wound, I even left a 200 PHP for the boy who cleaned my room.

Been here for like 20 times or up!! Cheap compared to other hotels. Its really neat and clean. But sometimes most rooms in the old building, the toilet wont flush but they kinda like solve it. And they have elevators as well

If you are traveling as a group or family then its just fine. It can be noisy if youre traveling adult who is not use to noisy children and traveling group of adults. ..

New Dawn Pension is a good place to stay. The rates are very affordable and the service is very good. The staff are very courteous and accomodating.

What I liked in this hotel was the location, not much on the room as its fairly good for short stay only. Rooms are clean and quite spacious for its rate. Rooms in the lower floor may not be as quiet because of its proximity to the main street...

The price is a great deal especially with the buffet breakfast offer. New rooms with good fixtures.

This hotel is garbage. Would rate it less if I could. It is still undergoing construction and some of the air conditioners do not work. The beds are uncomfortable and dont even have full sheets on them. Because there is construction still happening, there are power tools being used and hammers banging on walls. It made it impossible to relax in the room.

I booked my family here for 1 night. The worst is they dont have wifi. It was mentioned in their website free wifi in all areas of the hotel. The TV was just 10mins. good and after that it has no signal.

The front office isnt that accommodating but the hotel itself is comforting, makes me feel at home.

Neat rooms and accomodating staff. There is a mini gym at 7th floor and sports complex across the street.

New building is way better than the old one.They could have anticipate customer request rather than waiting to be asked for better customer experience.

Clean worth the price

Good day! I rated new dawn pension Cagayan de oro city for only 1 star. Why??I stayed in there hotel for one week . On the 2nd day of my stay i called there front desk and ask a cup of ho water. But so sad., i felt asleep when i wake up its already morning and no cup of water was served. They didnt hear any from my end that morning. Again when i went to the hotel again after my class i ask again the front desk to plz give me cup of hot water and told them i ask it lastnight and no cup of water arrived. After a minute mu cup of hot water arrived. 3rd day no bottled water was served in my room. I call again the front desk why no water given to my room when it was supposed to be understood everyday water is served after a chnge of bed sheet give u hotel supplies like tissues , soap etc. Sorry again was heard from them. Ok! I said np. Then they brought me bottled water. But on that day i noticed my room was not cleaned. My hair coming from mu comb was still on the floor and the cup which was given to me the other day was still there tables are not wiped. CR are not cleaned. But because im tired. I didnt question them. But when i leave the room the 4thday morning i leave mark on the bed. And a surprise that mark was still there but pillows and blankets are well folded and arrange. I sleep that night with the same sheet. The fllwing day i leave a mark again till my last day of stay for short. On my last night i found out my bed sheets my pillow cases blankets are not being change. They dont clean the floor and agian they dont clean the CR. I call the housekeeping but no answer from there fone. I call the front desk to ask where there manger is. I want to let him see what there hotel has given me that kind of service. They said no manger duty during night time . So i let them go to my room to see the situation up on my room. No body would go up. Until that billboy went to my room ang gave me the water i ask. Then i let him see how dirty my room was. How could this hotel NEW DAWN PENSION do this to there client!!!!! They dont clean rooms. All u know was ur rooms were cleand bcoz ur sheet are well folded and groomed! But! It was not change. They decieve there customer. I stayed there for a week and nevr cahnge my beddings. How much more if ull stay there for 1nyght. Who would we know our sheets are change from previous guest staying there overnyt. Sooo disgusting! And the front desk said the manger would be there sunday 12noon , so we waited so we could talk to the manger personally. But no manger has faced us. Then bcoz were still going to travel we ask the front desk to tell the manger to call as so hell know our complain personally. Soo saad till now no calls from there manager. It was a bad xperienced from a hotel.You guest out there before you swim on your bed try to inspect if that sheet blankets and pillow cases are fresh and new..Our complain from the hotel was last july 21-22,2018Where already aug. 11, 2018. But till now we didnt hear from them. I paid 1,980 per night and that is what i get. No change of lenens nd cr not cleaned everyday.

I rated this 4 stars but keep in mind it is only a 2 or 3 star hotel. However, the service is excellent, it is clean, the rooms are spacious, there is air conditioning and cable TV. When I travel and stay only overnight, this is all I need.

A good place to stay, especially in business trip, in the heart of the city

Front desk called me twice within an hour asking my name. They said it’s 1st n 2nd shift staffs, they accidentally deleted my name on registration. Basic unli breakfast for 99 pesos.

The rooms and comfort rooms are spacious. the capacitive touch elevators are difficult to use sometimes.

Convenient stay, very near to shopping malls and night life but slow internet.
