Ive been here a few times over my visits to The Philippines, one of my favourite dishes being the tuba belly. Good food, & usually busy. Very convenient for the new SM being opened soon, so come outside, cross the road & enjoy the delights of this venue!!!

The crew was quite enthusiastic and hospitable. The food is really great, fresh tuna, the tinola in particular was fantastic. I recommend eating here lunch and dinner vause they open at 10am.

During my first time in Butuan, I was able to try Tuna Republik. Its located in the middle of the city and easy to find. They have great quality of tuna dishes that made me crave more tuna.They offer local dishes at an affordable price. What I like about them is that even with a small budget, you can already taste great quality of good food in Butuan. Tuna is mainly famous in General Santos City but I must admit tuna in Butuan is just relatively as good.Mindanao truly is a land of promise, and good food!

The food would be expected to be great as it is seafood, but the service can be terrible at times. Just dined tonight and the orders took almost 2 hours and at least 4 follow-ups from the servers. If you order for a follow-up food youre also going to have to ask at least 3x from different servers who have snarky attitudes. I MIGHT dine again just to give it another chance.

Its my second time here.If you might be wondering why my review is posted now it is because the first time I went here, they were closed. They were sold out that time so I guess you should keep that in mind if you plan to visit this place to avoid dismay.I love tuna so I am quite particular on how restaurants prepare it. Both their grilled tuna belly and kinilaw were great but a little salty for me. Still, I enjoyed it. Compared to other local food joints that serve kinilaw, theirs is better since it is more tuna than spices.

Lami gyud diri. Sobrang masarap dito. Its very delicious here. Order their tinola, kilawin, bagaybay and sinugbang tuna belly or panga, and enjoy them with your friends or all by yourself. Price is reasonable.
