Local to everything, friendly staff, nice breakfast, comfortable room, and great offers such as transportation to and from the airport. I have stayed here before and it is my number 1 option in Butuan. The only problem was the hot water was at best warm. But other than that, excellent place to stay.

Loved the bunk beds we had on our room.The location was also ideal for us who were new to the city and were there for a photowalk event.THank you! Loved our stay. And appreciate that shuttle service to the airport.

The staffs are approachable and the customer service is very impressive. My friends and I took the family room with 4 bunk beds, AC, television, hot and cold shower for the price of P1730 plus FREE YUMMY BREAKFAST(4 person). The room is cleaned every day so if you dont want to let them see your undies, you better hide them. HahahaHotels furnitures and designs are vintage. In front of the hotel is the Guingona Park and on the left side is the Church. If you want to see beautiful sunrise, the Magsaysay bridge is just nearby. Banks, restaurants, ticketing office are accessible as well.

The place is nice.Tho they need more staff esp in their resto but nevertheless they are nice and friendly.

The room is clean and comfortable. Has a nice lobby/reception area. Its on the center of the city, so youre able to find things easily. Though they dont offer much for breakfast.

They offer complimentary breakfast and they hand this menu to you so you can choose your preferred breakfast. Upon arrival of your food (and this applies to any food ordered) you will see that the supposed 2 farm-fresh eggs from the menu is actually just 1 egg. When asked about why the actual served food differs from the one in menu, they justified it by saying that complimentary breakfast only comes with 1 egg. That the menu given is just for breakfast choices and the real menu can be ordered with a price (no price indicated but they say its P180/meal). Felt like we were cheated at that tho. FYI to all.

This is our fourth or fifth time staying at the Almont City as my wifes family lives in Butuan City. Rooms are always nicely maintained and very clean. This time we had some problems with hot water in the showers in our two rooms and they had to eventually change us to other rooms. The staff are always very cooperative and helpful and the hotel is the only one we know of in Butuan to offer an airport shuttle (very helpful).

I stayed a week here. The best thing about this hotel is the people. The staff here was excellent. I was in the suite. It was spacious and the living area was comfortable. However the bathroom was very dated and there was even a large crack in the bathtub. The biggest problem for me was lack of good house keeping. I complained a few times. The breakfast was excellent. The location is perfect. There is a park/plaza right in front of the hotel where there was almost daily events. Food and shopping all around. Free shuttle from and to the airport. I will definitely stay again.

I love that it is right in front of city plaza. I have a good me time in there during midnight. I wish they could offer a breakfast buffet. The breakfast is really good but I widh tjey have that option. Hotel personels were good and welcoming.

We were impressed by the distinct poshness and sophistication of the place. Its our first time in Butuan and they made a lasting impression! We cant wait to go back! Next time around well try the Almost Resort nearby.

The hotel was decent. Worth it for the price of each room. Breakfast was lovely. The location was ideal as it was near food establishments and the local park. The only down side would be the loud bell from the nearby church, but it didnt bother me at all because I slept really well.

Poor customer service. The staff are not accomodating. There is no hot water in the morning when you need it. I stayed for four nights, i could not do anything about it because i already paid for it and was not refundable. Also the location is infront of the plaza. So it is very noisy outside that you can hear even your window is closed.Edit: There is no elevator even if your room is on the fourth floor, and there is no one that can help you with your luggages

First of all you must ask yourself what you’re doing in Butuan. It’s a filthy hole of a town, and no personal business there is worth the experience of the downtown hotels the Almont City Hotel put me in a supposed quiet room. Having got by the splicing prostitute outside, I was ready for a sleep. However at 5.30 in the morning the generator next door cranked into gear i an alarming way. I tried to go back to sleep to no avail. The breakfast was inedible.

I love the place’s interior. It’s homey yet modern. Breakfast was served. And you are allowed to use their resort’s pool if you intend to go swimming. Located at the heart of the city’s downtown area.However, I had problem with the shower’s heater. It’s either too hot or too cold, nothing in between. Not best for those who have knee problems or have difficulty going up the stairs.

Its the courtesy and professional manner of the whole staff. given the chance i will stay in almont city hotel in my next vacation.

The staff are incredibly caring about everything, even remembering and asking about my sore throat. The response time was fabulous, for a problem with the toilet. The hot water was true hot water, which was great for the soaker tub, even if it took 5 minutes for the hot water to come. I big disappointment was the lack of hand towels, face towels and towel racks. It is also odd and annoying to have no curtain for the shower because the floor gets soaked, and when we dry it up with the floor towel, it is so drenched with water it can’t be used again in the morning

Beim Bereten der Lobby viel mir sofort die Renovierung und die Sauberkeit auf. Ich wurde freundlich begrüßt. Bei Problemen wurde sofort und kompetent reagiert. Ich fühlte mich gut betreut. Eine kleinigkeit im negativen sinne waren die Kirchenglocken genau neben dem Hotel. Danach war auch wieder Ruhe.

Location right at the center of everything--the park.the shops.etc. Staff very helpful. Rooms are super.

Our team liked the food prepared for our dinner and snacks as well. The hotel is clean and the rates are reasonable and even more affordable than other hotels. Thanks Almont for being there until our next trip again!

For a budget travel, highly recommend the room for barkadas or even families. The hotel is located to the city main and buying stuffs even in late night is not a problem.

Affordable, clean and confy to stay. I stayed at the 4th floor and I need to use the stairs since there is no elevator but worth the price. The location is near to the church and has easy access to public transport, cafes and other commercial establishments.

The place is okay. The room does not reek, smells fair. Well, I have a funny story.... not so much if you cant relate. Well this is what happened. The shower is so cold. I did not know how to adjust it since I cant see any switch. Turns out, the switch to turn the heat on is found in the shower head. You just have to change the angle.We just stayed there for one day. And I felt dumb not knowing that HAHAHAHHAHA

Almont City Hotel may not be in the downtown of Butuan City but it is very much accessible to public transportation. It is just almost beside the Butuan Cathedral of St. Joseph.There is a restaurant at the ground floor and a small function room. Prices of food (normally set menu) may be a bit higher than other hotels food rates of the same area category, but they are elegantly presented.Rooms are well-appointed, with cable, hot shower, clean fresh towels, and comfortable bed with linens. But there is no elevator.Staff are very friendly, courteous and accommodating - making your stay in their hotel a very pleasant one.

Almont city hotel its one of my favorite place to stay when Im in butuan city. I feel safe and the staff are friendly. Almont city hotel has been the place since I was pregnant with my first son and now his 15yrs old. Now that it has been remodel I love the new look of Almont city hotel.

A fancynplace in the middle of butuan, not much parking for you here but beautiful and cozy rooms. We mostly eat at their restaurant because were from butuan. Theyre staff are nice and friendly and the rooms are clean and neat.

Its a cheap hotel at a dirty street, very loud. The stuff is quiet unfriendly. Better look for another hotel when you want to stay in Butuan.

While in Butuan, I was able to stay in Almost City Hotel and Almont Resort. Both are located a few distance from each other. In Almont City Hotel, you can now avail the swimming pool located in Almont Resort at no additional charge. The City Hotel is more affordable than the resort since the resort has more amenities. Service-wise, both are outstanding.Did you know that theyre a sister company of Bluewater resorts in Cebu and Bohol? It is a testament that youre in good hands when you decide to stay here. I was able to be here for 3 days and I must say that they have great service and awesome amenities.

I just stop here for desserts and coffee. The nicely place to drink coffee and have a smoke. And by far the best cake in Mindanao!!

I booked a suite room in this hotel but when I arrived they gave me a really tiny room, the electrical sockets are broken. The toilet water keeps running and doesnt switch off. The air conditioning is right above your head you can feel the vibration. The experience was terrible I will not recommend this hotel to other travellers. Avoid this hotel. The Wi-Fi in the room is very slow too.

AIR CONDITION: We are staying at 308 and our AC is badly positioned and unable to dissiminate enough cool air in the room.4. FREE AIRPORT DROP OFF: If you are checking out early than 6:00am then you cannot avail this free transport as their driver check in time is 6:00am. We need to be in the airport by 4:00am so we need transport at our own expense. They assist outsourcing private overprice Van.5. FALSE advertising: I was led to believe there is a pool in this Hotel as advertised in online booking. It turns you have to travel 10mins to their sister hotel.
