Delicious breakfast no matter what you order.I suggest calling to pick up instead of using their website. I ordered breakfast and dinner online the night before and was told to pick up at 9:30am. Drove all the way to squeeze in before my 10am meeting. They called at 9:30 telling me that they didn’t receive the order until 9:15 so needed 20 more minutes. They were also out of lasagna.
I got here with my two year old at around 11:10, is hard to find a near by parking space. Waited to be sited like 10-15 min. Then waited another 20-30 min to be served. They are busy but nice and very friendly.I order omelette et fromage, and pancake. The food was ok, not great! I was expecting way more! I guess I have to go again and order something else next time. The place is nice and cozy, I ordered iced coffee and the coffee was good. Willing to go again!
Breakfast review. There’s a psychological effect when the menu is written in French but translates to a basic breakfast composed of eggs potatoes and bacon at a ridiculous price. The best part of our experience was the presentation of the dishes. Beyond that the flavors are bland and ordinary. You can get this at Denny’s for half the price.
Biggest wait for brunch ever. Slowest service, and uncomfortable seating. They forgot about a table next to us even though there were maybe 8 tables most. Certainly not 6ft between tables.. The lavender french toast was good, but not worth diningin for( Takeout, or another place)
Really delicious food. The homefries are the best fries Ive ever had anywhere. The sourdough break was really good with the salted butter. The potato and carmelized onion open faced omelette was good. The pancake full stack was nice as well especially considering it was whole wheat. Overall really nice restaurant but the prices are pretty high and expect to wait a long time without a reservation.
Favourite french country style diner serving classic brunch comforts. Great menu featuring a variety including special items such as ratatouille & lemon gingerbread pancakes. I usually go for Les Oeufs Maison or Les Oeufs Lucas. Their grapefruit mimosas are a treat! If its a warm day, ask to sit in the back courtyard where you can enjoy an outdoor garden view. Staff are sweet & attentive. Wait-time is long esp on weekends.
I went there for breakfast and I felt like in the south of France ! They have « paniers de viennoiseries » (See the picture below), different types of eggs, tomates à la provençales, great bread.... so hard to choose, everything look/is so good !I’ll go back for sure !I recommend to make a reservation.
La Note is a staple for the trendy Berkeley-ite looking to get a high quality breakfast/ brunch. Theres always a good amount of people looking to get into the restaurant, and that speaks to both the quality of the food as well as the demand for it! Once inside, its a cozy environment, and if youre a bigger person you might feel a bit cramped, but its definitely instagrammable. The restaurant has plenty of neat dishes that are a slight twists of classics, check out their various pancakes and french toast options! One time when my friends and I went to breakfast here, we literally all got Nutella French Toast as its one of their famous dishes that we all had to try for ourselves. If youre looking for a cute brunch spot in Berkeley, look no further!
A detailed French Provencal setting and menu, very popular with the Berkeley set. I had a fine spinach salad and my wife had a chicken curry stew. High-ranking service, highly recommend.
Arrived at about 12:40pm Sunday afternoon and the wait was a little over an hour.Once seated (seated inside), I ordered a double Mocha Coffee, Omelette Fromage et Jambon and a single Lemon Gingerbread Pancake with Poached Pears. It was all very good. The Omelette was cooked wonderfully and the cheese adds a certain softness that is amazing with the ham. The Lemon Gingerbread just reminds you of the fall season. After a few bits, I need to add some syrup because the Gingerbread creates a certain taste of dryness after a while.Service was a bit sore at first but very attentive later on. The space inside is a bit small so be prepared to be very close to other people.
My second time here . Wait time was around 30 minutes but it worth it . The place is really cosy and they make you feel comfortable as well . The tea was organic and great and the coffee had an amazing taste . I got the basket of breads and jam ( their jam is bomb) and also the signature pancake which is great because its not too sweet. Will definitely go back whenever Im in town .
Had a fantastic experience in this place with my friend. The food came rapidly and the customer service is just fantastic. Prices are fair.
Best breakfast I’ve ever had! Went here in February earlier this year and loved it.
One of the best brunches Ive ever had! You have to try the scrambled eggs, or their various omelettes. Coffee cake is also a must have if you have a sweet tooth.
