This place has won many awards over the years, and while I do agree that the fish and chips are excellent, I have had better. The portion is huge - you get a fish and a half! And the chips are cooked perfectly, but the batter slightly let it down for me. During Covid, for take away, you have to order and queue up outside, but the service is still friendly and relatively fast. There are still seats inside the restaurant.

Had to queue up an alley way and up the street. The queue took about 2 hours. Got bitten by midges in the alleyway.We got the food and was assured that there was forks napkins in the bag. However after driving away to eat it we did not have any.The food was good. However waiting that length of time is just not worth it. The other fish and chip shops in Anstruther all serve faster and have good food too.

We visited twice in the last fortnight, sat in the first time and takeaway a few days ago!The food was outstanding the first time, but a little greasy the second time on the fish. The chips are the best anywhere!! This place is absolutely worth a visit, but expect to queue, we were an hour and thirty mins the second time around!

Genuinely no idea what the hype is for. Tiny sausage supper, hardly any sauce on it because unlike literally every other chippy you cant see your food being prepared so you end up with 3 splashes of sauce and to eat it you have the worst splinter ridden two pronged bit of wood. Dry. Overrated. Dont waste a trip.

Great fish and chips for only £7.80.in these times a bargain.the choices are plenty and will cater for most of the hungry visitors to this famous place. Be prepared for a long wait in line as it is very popular. Parking is a bit of a problem if you want to be near to the shop .plenty of people were prepared to wait . chips not likes therfore only 4 stars
