Big Creek is a fantastic private RV Park!The owner, Patty, is amazing! She has something planned almost every weekend. Every Saturday at 6:00pm are the rubber duck races down the creek. We were there for a chili cook off, BBQ competition, Bingo, ice cream social, digital scavenger hunt, and Christmas in July.The park has full hookup sites (50 amp electric, water, sewer) plus WiFi and cable.There is a game room, laundry facilities, pool, and private bathrooms. Everything is well maintained and clean. You can also purchase firewood, ice, and get propane refilled right on site.We stayed here for 7 weeks and never ran out of things to see and do at the park or in the area.Everyone we met was super nice, and I have to tell you it was one of the quietest parks we have been in - even on the weekends.

Patty Patty Patty!!! No need to say more :-) We are pretty new to RVng and Pattys customer service from reservations to checking out was the best we have had. Very knowledgeable with RVng and a straight shooter. This is a remote place. So, come packed with the goods. AT&T cell service only. My Verizon plan could not pickup but 10 minutes down the road it worked.Site pros:- Spacious-Full hookups-Close to (25 min or less) to 3-4 state parks-Well maintained-Good shade for creek side or road side-Creek Creek Creek! 2-3 minute walk and you are sitting in the creek!-Pool/Laundromat-6 minutes from gas station in Annapolis. Other than that, its 25 minutes to gas station going north.Site cons:-Limited cell connectivity.-No healthy food options nearby if you are particular with healthy eating habbits. Everything is fried for the nearby joints.-Onsite wifi limited but I understand why after talking with Patty.All in all, if you are looking for a 2 day or 2 week stay, it is a great place and highly recommend. We stayed in site 117 and we were in shade up until 11-11:30 AM which is a plus!.Thanks Patty! Will definitely be back when possible!

We stayed here for 2 weeks in our Class A Motorhome. This place is amazing! Its a large RV park with lots of space for each site. Each site comes with full hookups, a picnic table, and fire pit. The center of the park has a pool, laundry room, and meeting room. (We didnt explore these areas). Wifi is very slow. We had to switch over to use data...we are in the middle of Mark Twain National Forest. No/poor streaming. Bring lots of food as this place is in the middle of nowhere. Small town with small grocery and pharmacy is 20 minutes away will get you by with basics.Patti is the owner with her husband. They are both super nice people and very friendly, helpful and courteous. They have a small store on site, sell firewood for $5.00, and ice for $2. The park is very clean.This park has a play area for kids, fun activities planned on weekends, and is up against Big Creek! We swam in the creek and explored the creek daily! It is very slippery so make sure to wear water shoes! Water is crystal clear and you can see everything. Water was cool and refreshing on a hot day!Lots of places to walk and hike in the RV park area! But of you want some adventurous hiking and exploring there are 3 great places all within 30 minutes that we explored. Elephant Rocks ginormous boulders to climb about and easy paved hiking is 25 minutes away. Johnsons Shut-ins is about 30 minutes away and offers a variety of hiking trails with different levels of hiking (most are very strenuous). You can also take an easy paved path down to Black River for a swim which is also very beautiful and clear water! And Taum Mina Sauk Falls Trail is about 25 minutes away. Strenuous hiking for a few hours but worth the views...highest point in Missouri! But if you are not too adventurous the RV has trails through the woods and it is all flat and easy to walk...and you can walk/bike the gravel loop around RV park.We highly recommend this park for a quick weekend getaway or for a longer extended stay. Rates are extremely reasonable!

Big Creek was our first RV camping experience. The park was clean and well kept The owner was very helpful to us newbies. The park was beautiful! Were planning another visit..

My family spent the weekend here and I must say, the owners & staff are fantastic. This was the second time weve stayed at Big Creek and we will be back. The friendly staff really know the difference between a place to camp, and a place we love to camp. I would highly recommend Big Creek RV Park to anyone who enjoys a great, clean campground with access to many fun things to do.

What a great place to get away, amenities galore. Full hookups, cable tv, quiet and secluded. Patty and Craig are wonderful hosts and well be back again and again.

Friendly owners and staff. Close to various state parks and attractions. Playground for the children, and a nice in ground pool.

Awesome place to stay at. Owners Patty and Craig make you feel right at home.
