I cut my teeth mountain biking on the trails there many, many moms ago. Fun to go back and ride them again after years.

The 2 in the back middle and the one on the back right are cracked, but still playable (just not competitively). The rest are in good condition. Ive never had to wait for a court, even on the weekends. They also have lights to play at night. Ive also seen people play pickleball here, but the courts arent marked.PICKLE BALL:Wakefield is getting rid of their two platform tennis courts in exchange for 2 new pickleball courts.CROSS COUNTY TRAIL:Running to Accotink is about 2.6 miles, while the loop around the lake is 5.3 miles - from the baseball fields. Americana park is 1 mile in the other direction and also connects to the CC trail.Wakefield is a great park with many facilities including the Audrey Moore rec center, skate park, soccer fields, baseball/softball fields, tennis courts, platform tennis courts, a playground, and a basketball court.The park also has access to running/ biking trails in the park and the Cross County Trail, and a mountain/ dirt biking trail close by.

Sorry, not a great experience. Softball tournament and not enough parking for the fields. Dusty fields delayed the game several times. Limited bleachers and uneven grounds made seating a challenge.

Always lots to do here. Trails and facility are nice.

Excellent Sport Complex

The kids love to go here for the skate park.The skate/bmx park is enormous, and has so many set ups. The only challenge that I have with this place is that it seems it could use a little bit of maintenence. Some of the ramps and features could use some updating/resurfacing.There are always smiles when we return from this skate park. Huge jumps, hips, a half-pipe, and many rail/grind features. Good for both skate boarders and bmxers of all experience levels. A really good community of riders who look out for eachother.

Amazing park but the county really needs to reach out to the community or something, its falling apart and and deserves better.

If u actually skate then u wont like the vibe go to lake fairfax or something theirs to many scooter kids or kids who are their for no reason its a million dollar park with not much of a purpose ... It has potential butt just nah

Wakefield Park mountain bike trail is great for a short ride. If you dont want to trek outside of the beltway to get your mountain biking itch scratched, Wakefield is typically a quiet and peaceful place to do biking, or even a pleasant nature walk!

Wakefield Park is a wonderful facility located in the flood plain of Accotink Creek in between Rt. 236 and Braddock Road, adjacent to the Capital Beltway. Hundreds of acres of forest surround modern facilities including tennis, softball, soccer, skateboarding, mountain biking, and many others. You could spend every day all day for a month here and never get bored.

Great place for a walk and forget the city

This skate park is ok but kinda small and really doesnt have flow. This park also has lights but charges 2 dollars after 7 oclock for night skate.

Went mountain biking here a few times, its a pretty nice area with paved and dirt trails. There are spots along the way with maps just in case you get lost.The park has a half pipe, soccer and baseball fields as well.

My kids cant wait till they come back for more skateboarding. So far away from home!

Great lap swimming. Lifeguards are alert and friendly. Private coaches are the best!

Great mountain bike trails. Fast and flow. Not too technical though.

Huge park with bike trails, many tennis courts, soccer, baseball, football fields, skateboard area, and even a recreational center with indoor swimming and rooms for classes.

Very helpful and accommodating. The facility was great, especially the pool!

We go there regularly for walks and workouts.

Lots of activities to do racket ball, swimming, hiking, biking, the tennis courts are in good shape as well as the basketball courts, great area to teach kids to ride bikes, a lots classes are also offered the swimming instructor are great.
