Eine wirklich schöne Anlage mit großem, gepflegten Garten und hervorragendem Blick auf das Meer.Pro:- alles ist sehr sauber und in Realität wesentlicher schöner als auf den offiziellen Bildern- es ist sehr ruhig (keine krähenden Hähne, wenig Bootsverkehr)- Lage direkt am kilometerlangen Strand- sehr sympathischer und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber- Frühstück und Abendessen kann auch direkt auf der eigenen Terrasse serviert werdenCons:- Frühstückskarte besteht leider nur aus vorausgewählten, etwas einfallslosen Menüs -> ein paar einzelne Optionen wären schön (Joghurt, Obst, Müsli, ...)- beim Abendessen bestellter Fisch war leider mehrmals komplett durchgebraten und demnach trocken- Strandabschnitt lädt nicht zum Baden ein, da es zu flach istIn Summe ist die Unterkunft dennoch eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung.

Ljust och trevligt, högt beläget litet hotel med glad och pigg ägarinna som ser till att gästerna trivs. Vacker utsikt mot havet direkt från rummet och balkongen. God frukost. Det som vi upplevde som nackdel var att det var svårt att bada på morgonen pga ebb och tråkig havsbotten. Hotellet har en underbar båt för snorkelutflykter. Rekommenderas: levande koraller och stora sköldpaddor. Trevlig personal. Safe saknades på rummet. Tyst och ny AC. Bra myggnät trots få mygg. Välskött trädgård.

The hotel owners were very helpful, assisting us in getting a very early car when we needed to visit the hospital. They were friendly, as were all the staff.The location is tranquil - perfect if you are looking for a break away. If you are looking for a place with ***y bars, this is not the place to go as Anda is very small. The hotel itself and those around it have good food options at very reasonable prices. For swimming, best to go early around 6am or make sure you have shoes to go over the plants.

It is a fun and relaxing experience. The tours, snorkeling and food are outstanding.

Die Zimmer sind wunderschön (wir hatten Oceanview) und werden täglich gereinigt, unser Zimmer hatte eine Terrasse mit Blick durch den Garten hinaus auf das Meer, wenn man im Bett lag konnte man auf das Meer raussehen. Die Klimaanlage ist unglaublich leise. Die Minibar wird jeden Tag neu gefüllt, das Wasser ist gratis.Der Service ist einfach toll, egal wo man gerade sitzt oder liegt meist wird man bereits nach weniger als einer Minute mit einer großen Karaffe kaltem Wasser und Gläsern versorgt, egal zu welcher Tageszeit oder ob man im Restaurant ist.Das Restaurant...egal was wir in unserer Zeit bestellt haben es war durchweg lecker, von super Qualität, üppig portioniert und zu fairen Preisen.Die Besitzer leben ebenfalls auf dem Gelände und stehen jederzeit für alle Art von Hilfe zur Verfügung. Egal ob allgemeine Fragen oder die Organisation eines Arztbesuchs. Ganz ganz großes Lob an J&R, Jilo & Ralf und ihr Team, ihr habt uns wunderschöne Tage beschert.

Sehr gepflegtes, wunderschönes Anwesen mit einer handvoll Zimmern/Apartments.Die zwei Gastgeber, Jilo und Ralf, sind äußerst herzlich mit uns umgegangen und haben wirklich alles versucht, um uns einen schönstmöglichen Aufenthalt zu erfüllen.Die zahlreichen Mitarbeiter der Residence sind ausnahmslos höflich, freundlich, zuvorkommend und kundenorientiert, wodurch man sich wie in einem gehobenen Sternehotel fühlt.Das sehr gute Restaurant hat eine reichhaltige Auswahl internationaler (phil., dt., it. etc) Gerichte. Während unseres sechstägigen Aufenthalts waren sämtliche Gerichte mindestens gut. Einziger geringfügiger Abzugspunkt hierbei ist, dass die Frühstücksmenü-Auswahl ein wenig vielfältiger sein könnte.Das Ressort bietet darüber hinaus mehrere Aktivitäten direkt oder über Partner an. Wir buchten u.a. eine Schnorcheltour und eine Sunsettour jeweils mit dem Boot, das Ralf selbst steuerte. Wir hatten das Glück, mehrere Schildkröten sowie Delfine in ihrem natürlichen Lebensraum bestaunen zu dürfen - für uns unvergessliche und tolle Erlebnisse.Alles in einem wirklich äußerst hervorragend und empfehlenswert! Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Great location, peaceful with great access to long walks along the beach. Well maintained property, with clean beach front and public areas. Loved the hammock to read, the outdoor restaurant and super friendly service. Interesting menu with a german twist. The owner was present, friendly and helpful; arranged my day tour of Bohol and a scuba dive outing via a nearby property with certified diving facilities. Only stayed a weekend and would have loved more days to try their snorkeling, kayaking, etc. I hope to be back!

If you have children - AVOID THIS PROPERTY LIKE A PLAGUE! When we first checked in we were shown the rooms, they looked very good and high-end, the views were great too. Then i asked about wifi - i was informed that owner does not give wifi password to employees or guests, that i am supposed to give them my laptop or phone and owner will connect the device to wifi...This was very unprofessional, after i pointed that out an employee was able to give me the password.Later we informed employees we booked all available rooms for the next day and that our family will join us - total 7 adults 7 kids including us. We ordered a roll-away bed in one of the rooms to make sure everyone was accommodated, and it appeared we were at an agreement with the resort. When we later spoke with the owner he said yes i know in regards to our big family arriving. When our family arrive, of course kids went to use the pool, right away we could feel the tension. Later we over-heard the owners wife yelling at the employees for allowing so many people to check in, AFTER we had an agreement! That night the owner was sitting at the bar sulking ignoring us completely even after my wife tried to talk to him and say hi... he even scolded my child for pinching flower!!!When we approached the owner about this behaviour he was defensive and said leave a review. We left one day early... nobody should go through this so PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM HERE. White privileged adults only - should be the name.

J and R Residence refused to negotiate a refund despite Covid19 closinginternational boarders being and Philippine Airlines ( who refunded my airfares ) not able to get us to our destination. The final e- mail I received was very rude and extremely offensive . I would never recommend this place ever

The J&R Residence is two hours from the airport so we recommend that you arrange for Lando, the very capable, safe and considerate driver from J&R to collect you in their comfortable car.J&R is more of a B&B with a restaurant than a hotel, which reflects the way it has developed. Everything is well maintained and spotlessly clean and the staff are welcoming and friendly.It is a great place to relax for a few days, in peace and quiet. There are other resorts nearby so you can easily get a variety of food and if the tide is not high you can walk to White Beach at Anda along the sand. Either walk back or get a tricycle (an experience in itself on the last part of the road).The rooms are clean and tidy but very basic. No TV (who cares) but no tea making facilities, a tiny wardrobe arrangement and uncomfortable furniture. Dont bother trying to read in bed - the lighting is far too dim. Internet connection is slow. The airconditioning is effective.If you have limited mobility it would be wise to request a room at the top level as all the others have a lot of steep steps with no handrails. The manicured lawns and gardens are inviting and there are shady spots to sit and listen to the waves.

Die Zimmer sind ruhig, sauber und mit viel Sorgfalt eingerichtet.Besonders gut fanden wir den Service, auch das Restaurant hat uns gut gefallen. Bei uns blieben keine Wünsche offen! Wer Ruhe sucht ist hier genau richtig.Wir waren jeden Tag direkt vor dem Hotel schnorcheln und waren begeistert. Wir haben viele Nacktschnecken, Garnelen, Krebse, Krugfische, Muränen, Langhornkofferfische usw. gesehen. Wer viele bunte Rifffische sehen möchte sollte eher einen Schnorchelausflug per Boot unternehmen.Empfehlen würde ich den Transfer vom Flughafen. Bedanken möchte ich mit bei Ralf und seinem Team!

I had an amazing time staying at this resort. It was quiet, clean and beautiful. The rooms are huge and vwry clean. The owners are wonderdul and are always engaging with tbeir guest. Theyre also very attentive to our needs. If you want to get away from the noise in yhe city, this is a great place to go. Food is great. The management can always arrange for transpo if you want to see other places. A big thimbs up gor this hotel.

My husband and I traveled the Philippines for our 25Th wedding anniversary and this was, by far, the best and most beautiful hotel we came across. We wished, we could have stayed a little longer. Its a small paradise, clean, comfortable with friendly and caring staff, directly on the ocean with a clean beach and great food. Dont hesitate to book this place, you wont regret it.

Stayed at dozens of places in the Philippines and J&R is definitely on the short list of favorites.The room was the cleanest hotel room ive ever stayed in. The restaurant was amazing and considering there are 5 rooms the variety of food offered was impressive. The staff was so friendly as were the owners who live on site. There is snorkeling/kayaking directly off the beach.And speaking of friendly the residents of the town are some of the most friendly people ive met in the Philippines. If you looking for a laid back chill location i doubt you could find a better tmown than Anda and you cannot go wrong with a stay at J&Rs.

We loved our stay at the J&R Residence. The staff was very friendly, the premises and our room was beautiful, the food delicious. We rented a Kajak and went snorkeling just outside the Residence and it was magical. Highly recommend this place!

We felt very unwelcome there, felt like the owner did not like Filipinos, and he certainly does not like kids from the way that he treated us. Not a family friendly establishment, despite the fact they claim children are welcome. Furthermore a bit of a hypocrite, there are two dogs on the premise, often hanging around the restaurant and barking at night, yet they have no pet no service animals policy... We felt like the owner treats his dogs better than he treated us... will not stay here again.

My wife and I stayed for four days over Chinese New Year. We were looking for a place that would be relaxing after a tough few weeks at work. This was perfect for that. We were able to switch off completely in the quiet environment listening to nothing but the waves. The staff were great and always attentive. The rooms were a good size and clean.The resort is quite remote which is what we were looking for. The small town of Anda was about a 30 minute walk along the beach. Make sure you wear sun block. Or you can call for a motorbike taxi to drive you there. The resort has a restaurant, but you can try the other restaurants in the resorts nearby.There are few day trips available which the hotel offers, so you will not be stuck for something to do.

Very nice owners, make you feel at home. The view from the rooms and from the restaurant are to die for and the whole place gives you the ultimate relaxation feeling. You can do whatever you feel like; take a beach walk, snorkel, have a swim in the pool, get a trycicle to a nearby village (live music every Friday and Saturday at Borocay de Anda), do one of the activities Ralf and Jilo offer (like the waterfall) The food is very nice and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the bed was good. They have tinted windows so you could watch the view from your bed.They have three dogs, very sweet and shy so nothing to worry about (but I am not afraid of dogs so I wouldn’t know how it is when you are).Would definitely come here again!

I didnt want to do this but what the owner did to us was unacceptable and I think everybody should know about it. I came from Hawaii and I just went on vacation to spend time with my family. Spent days looking for the best resort in Anda, Bohol and J&R was the one I chose because of the good reviews they have online. So we went there. The staff were very welcoming and the resort was indeed beautiful. My brothers and cousins (ages from 12-17 y/o) jumped for joy the minute they saw the pool. So they went ahead and enjoyed the place (which was their very first experience). Minutes later there was this lady on the second floor of the building yelling at my brothers, telling them to quiet down/remain calm because there are other guests. I didnt know who that was but my brothers did try to calm down from their excitement. The lady still isnt satisfied so she went down and talked to us again in an inappropriate manner and with a loud voice. If you continue to make noise you should go to the public beach not here! she said. I wanted to know who she was so I asked and her reply was Im the owner here! with her hands on the waist. I wish I had my camera to record everything she have said. I do understand that she wanted to make a good impression to the foreign tourists but to communicate in that way especially to the children? Im surprised she was the owner! I was very disappointed with the way she approached us. Is that how you treat all of your customers? Or is it because

The resort is situated quite far away from any bigger towns, making it a great place for a shorter and very relaxing vacation spot.+ spacious rooms with a separated shower and toilet (not the case everywhere in the Philippines)+ peaceful and green resort with great and always helpful staff+ private beach, pool, great restaurant with international, german and philippino cousine+ massage services, perfectly organized trips, other help with bookings+ no roosters at night and in the morning waking up guests- the shallow sea with plenty of sea urchins and plants (limited swimming and probably not for kids)- long trip from the island capital (over 2 hrs)
